This truck is awesome, but missing the limited slip rear diff. I can't believe that at 80k it doesn't come standard in at least one of these packages. I see that many dealers forget this option and it is a deal breaker for me. $445 option, but should be standard at this price point! Thank you for such great in depth and non-biased reviews. I bought a brand new same spec truck basically (just no sunroof). For 54k in 2019. The same Sport 1500 they want 77-78k for them now and most don’t have the high rear end ratio axle and axle lock feature now that I’ve looked at. My truck does have that option and it’s rare now in these
That price is craaazzzyyy!!! I got a 21’ Ram 1500 Big Horn crew cab for $55k. The increase in price is insane!! If I pan to pay anything over 70k for a Ram I may as well hold out, save a little bit more, and get a TRX. IJS
33 gallon tank, tow mirrors, 392 gear gears...if it wasn't for those 22" wheels, this truck is built to be a good tow machine! Really don't like that they removed the wood on the steering wheel
Great review- only downside is in the air suspension in cold weather- below 20 degrees and the moisture in the air lines may cause a failure to elevate the truck off the frame. I have replaced much of the parts, lines, and compressor on my 2014 Ram 1500.
TBH, I'm gonna miss the HEMI engine very much. The 2025 Ram 1500 now has the 3.0L Twin Turbo I6 with two variants, single output or high output. After seeing Twisters, I still am considering a Ram.
Prices are up even in used markets. I've been shopping for a used 3500 and Prices are high on them. Also if you take five minutes to think about it the truck will already be sold. Had one dealer tell me that there's many people doing exactly what I'm doing, looking for a truck a couple years old to avoid the $100k price tags on the new ones.
I could have gotten a 2023 ram 1500 limited night edition for around 80k. Instead I got the same year and all that but Laramie. Still has the hood, inside, v8. Only thing it doesn’t have is rise and lower, heads up display, black rims, phone charging pad, big sunroof, running boards and surround camera, bed cover, tinted windows. I got mine for 64 k. After putting running boards, nice black rims, bed cover, tinted windows cost me 3,500 with installation. So I can’t raise or lower my truck, no heads up display, sunroof, surround view camera or charging pad. Ohh, I have Alpine system. I’ve had the Harmon, great system. But for a extra 13k they can keep all that. Would really only use the phone charging pad.
I can’t believe the prices now. I bought a loaded (besides sunroof) 2019 1500 sport in Canada for 56k out the door in 2019. I also have the rare rear axle lock option and high ratio rear end so she’s got a lot of pep off the lights and for towing. The same truck now they want 79k for it and most do not have axle lock. Actually I haven’t really seen that option now on most the new Rams I’ve looked at. So needless to say prices I’m keeping my truck for a while a long while lol.
There is a bunch of them sitting at dealerships for more than 200 days. I think most buyers are understanding the fact that American brand companies are still playing the components shortage game with Americans. Reality is there’s no more shortage of chips when it comes to chips for automotive. Tesla is a great example.
You forgot to mention a few other cool features like the Trailer Reverse Steering control, park assist, and the camera view in center rear view mirror! I have the ‘22 Red edition- I love everything the Limited has to offer except the limited payload!
There's a such thing as trim levels. Chevy's high country trim would be RAMS limited trim. And if you're looking at a 2500 high country you would be in the $90k range. Their 1500 high country is similarly priced as this limited. You can drop many options and go with a base model on both models to get below $60k. All that being said I still completely agree that pricing is out of control, on ALL brands.
Had a ram Laramie loaded and while it looks premium it feels cheap so disagree its nicest interior.... Especially owning and driving it.... Did not feel well put together to me..... Were some things I really liked even still
I have a 2019 Limited with the 6'4 bed this tonneau cover is garbage. Wish you could delete it and the cost would go down because I rather get the rolling locker metal one for the same price. Be warned about those leather dashboards, they often separate from the substrate and they won't fix it but replace it for thousands of dollars after much stalling to get past the warranty coverage point. The market adjustment AKA $10,000 price increase for no reason at all in this last year is killing me at the end of my lease to go in and try and buy a new one with that incredible over-priced needless markup. It's like RAM is set on screwing over their customers. First they crank up the price by $10K then offer 10% discounts as if they're giving you a bargain or something which is $8,000 off. They're still making more money. Crazy marketing strategies. The truck is great but it is way over-priced.

The truck is great but it is way over-priced.
What a joke $80000 without a panamramic moonroof, no 60/40 split tailgate, no rear side rear storage, pure garbage for that price.
