I really want to thank you for this comprhensive 2024 ATI TEAS reading study guid with practice quiestion. This vidio was just amazing for me because I score very low in my reading comprhensive. You make it so clear and how to go about your reading strategy to be successful on your TEAS test exam. I hope next time I will pass.

When dealing with longer passages that have multiple paragraphs on the TEAS, the main idea is conveniently placed in the last lines of the first paragraph unless the passage ask for the main idea of a certain paragraph then it will be the last line of that paragraph.
I have bad test anxiety. I’ve watched many videos and did book work but was 5 points away from getting into the nursing program. I’m sad but scheduled to retake next month. 😭
I'm truly sorry to hear about your experience with the TEAS. It can be incredibly disheartening to put so much effort into something and not see the results you’re hoping for. Remember, it's okay to feel upset and take time to process these feelings. Sometimes, stepping back to reassess and possibly seek different study methods or resources can provide a new perspective and approach. If you decide to try again or even if you choose a different path, what matters is doing what feels right for you. Keep going, delayed never denied!
@@NurseCheung I didn’t do good enough to get in school I wanted to; however, I did good enough to get back into the technical college. I just graduated there with my associates with Pharmacy, so I’m doing nursing program through them. I start in January. I will then transfer to Albany State for BSN. Thank you 🫶
I remember watching your videos years ago (they're amazing) now I have to actually take the TEAS, I thought I remembered you made available those slides, is that still the case? I would love to follow along with the slides while watching your videos.
Wow thats incredible and welcome back. I'm glad you're interested in the ATI TEAS V7 Complete PowerPoint Study Guide. Yes, this guide covers all the topics you need to know for the ATI TEAS 7, making it a comprehensive resource for your exam preparation. However, it's important to note that the PowerPoint itself does not include practice questions and are based on the slides from my previous video series not the new one you are commenting on now. It's designed to give you a thorough overview of the material, with 340+ slides that cover each subject area of the TEAS. If you're looking for a more in-depth study resource that includes mnemonics, study strategies, memory tricks, and colorful illustrated pictures and breakdowns, along with practice questions, I recommend the 2024-2025 ATI TEAS V7 Complete Study Guide. This guide is tailored to provide a more rounded study experience, helping you not only to understand the material but also to apply it through practice. Best of luck with your studying, and I hope the videos and slides prove to be as helpful as ever!
Hi! How would you find logical conclusions in multiple paragraphs? Also, inference is hard to find with multiple paragraphs. Would you happen to have any tips?
To find logical conclusions and make inferences in multiple paragraphs, focus on the overarching themes and main points presented throughout the text. Start by summarizing the key ideas from each paragraph to see how they connect. Often, the conclusion or main inference is built on these combined ideas, leading to a coherent overall message or argument. It can be helpful to look for cues in transitional phrases and topic sentences that guide the flow of logic and support between paragraphs.
Hello and thank you for posting these videos! Your thorough explanations will prepare me to do well on the TEAS, this August. I have the confidence to not just pass but to score high, watching your content. :) You make a difference in this world and appreciate your time and dedication to helping perspective healthcare students excel!!
Thank you for your kind words! It’s fantastic to hear that the videos are boosting your confidence and helping you prepare for the TEAS. That kind of positive feedback makes all the effort worthwhile. Keep up the great work, and I'm sure you'll achieve the high score you're aiming for in August. Your dedication and gratitude are truly inspiring! Good luck! 🌟📖
Great question. While I mentioned the main idea can be found in the last sentence of a passage, it's important to clarify that in longer, multi-paragraph texts, the main idea is often located in the last sentence of the first paragraph.
I have my test scheduled for October, and I'm grateful to have some time to prepare. I've been intensely studying, and I'm focusing solely on your material because I find everything else confusing. Do I have enough time to adequately prepare?
It's great that you're proactively preparing for your test in October by dedicating yourself to a focused study plan using materials that work best for you. Start by taking a practice test first to see where you stand and which areas need the most attention.Prioritize your study time based on your weakest areas. You can use condensed study materials like the Nurse Cheung Complete Study Guide, which provides a clear breakdown of essential topics and practice questions. Watching educational videos, especially on topics you find challenging, can also be a very effective way to refresh your knowledge and keep the information engaging.Try to keep your study sessions short and focused-about 1-2 hours at a time to avoid burnout. And remember, it’s okay to be nervous, but with some dedicated study time each day, you’ll improve your chances greatly. Hang in there, and good luck!
While the videos are comprehensive in what you need to know for the ATI TEAS, we recognize that many people will use various resources to help aid understanding on the TEAS. Different resources can offer new perspectives and explanations, helping to deepen your understanding of complex concepts. They also ensure comprehensive coverage of the exam material, catering to various learning styles with methods like reading, interactive quizzes, and group discussions. Moreover, incorporating practice tests and quizzes can provide valuable exam-like experience, helping to pinpoint areas that need more attention. Overall, combining these study tools will give you a more robust preparation for your exam.
Good morning! Crafting a logical conclusion in a multi-paragraph essay involves summarizing your main points, restating the thesis in a new light based on the evidence presented, and providing a final perspective that ties everything together. Many times the logical conclusion is just the summary sentence in the last paragraph, first sentence. But make sure you read the question thoroughly to confirm.
Thanks for the video, definitely learned a lot, but when I tried to run the prep text on the TEAS, the real problems are there are multiple paragraphs and some how they will pick a sentence from one of the paragraphs and ask which is the support detail for that sentence, that is really tough for me if so. I hope in the real exam is not like that lol.
I'm glad you found the video helpful! It sounds like those types of questions are really challenging. They often require a good grasp of how to quickly identify key details within a text. It’s pretty common in exams like the TEAS to test your ability to analyze and interpret detailed information from multiple paragraphs. The real exam might have similar questions, so it’s great to practice these skills. Keep working through those practice tests, and you’ll likely find that it starts to come more naturally over time!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm really glad to hear that you found the explanations helpful and easy to understand. It's always my goal to break things down in a way that makes learning accessible and enjoyable. Keep up the great work, and don't hesitate to reach out if you have more questions or need further clarification. Happy studying! 😊❤️
when you are taking the teas will that kilometer measuring always be provided like how you used in the practice question? or will we have to memorize that
Nurse Cheung, I have difficulty understanding what certain words mean. In your reading study guide video, you had a list of words relating to an author's tone and most of those words I did not know.
I think its all dependent on what you find works better for your learning style. You may want to join our Facebook group to get some feedback on both options which is Nurse Cheung Free ATI TEAS Study Group.
Hello Nurse Cheung, I'm interested in purchasing only the TEAS reading portion practice. Can I place an order through your website? English is my second language, and it is my weakest part of the TEAS. Thank you.
Hi Nurse Cheung, I am watching you right now video right now, and also, I am reading mometrix ati TEAS 7, I got confused because when I took the practice test, the definition of summary from the book and yours are different.
Hi there! It's great to hear you're using multiple resources to study for the TEAS. Sometimes, different materials might present information slightly differently. If you find discrepancies, it could be helpful to cross-reference with other trusted sources or even check official guidelines if available. My definitions come directly from the ATI TEAS Guidelines and Information. I can't speak on other study resources and what they provide. Keep up the good work, and if you have specific questions or need clarification on any topic, feel free to ask! Happy studying! 😊
So why do you say that the first sentence is the topic sentence? I just purchased the smart edition course and on one of the practice reading exams I chose the first sentence as the topic sentence and it was actually the second sentence. I’m just asking because I watch in your videos how you explain that you don’t have time to read the entire passage so on questions where it ask, “ What is the topic sentence?” You said to choose the first sentence and move on.
It sounds like you're diving deep into your TEAS prep, which is great! The guidance I've provided about topic sentences aims to offer a general strategy, especially under timed conditions. Based on my personal experience with the TEAS test and feedback from recent TEAS testers, this is the most accurate way to find the topic sentence unless the first sentence is an interjection or does not have a complete thought. Since you've encountered a different scenario in the Smart Edition course, reaching out to them directly for clarification could be really helpful. They can offer specific insights into their reasoning, which could further refine your test-taking strategies. Additionally, feedback from recent TEAS test takers, as you mentioned, is invaluable for understanding the range of possibilities you might face on the exam. Remember, strategies are tools to help you manage time and make educated guesses when necessary, but always use your best judgment based on the content in front of you. Best of luck with your continued studies, and kudos to you for seeking out a variety of resources and perspectives to enhance your preparation!
My test didn’t too much have any topic main idea it’s had so many inferences or logical conclusions ofc I studies for those as well as everything I was scoring 80s at home got to the test and scored a 56 so I don’t know what went wrong honestly
It sounds really frustrating to have prepared so thoroughly and then encounter a different kind of challenge during the actual test. Review the printout you received after taking your test to gauge your understanding and identify the areas requiring more focus. Allocate your study time prioritizing the sections where you need the most improvement. Educational videos can also be particularly useful, especially for challenging topics, as they help refresh your knowledge in an engaging way. Keep your study sessions concise and targeted-aim for 1-2 hours at a time to prevent burnout. It’s natural to feel nervous, but with consistent, focused study, you can significantly enhance your chances. Stay persistent, and best of luck!
Would the word "But" be after order of events when it comes to contrast information? what if there is no transition words and I have to put them in order ? I hope this question is understandable lol.
Yes, your question makes sense! The word "but" is often used to introduce a contrast or an exception to what has been previously stated. So, if you're organizing information that includes contrasting ideas, using "but" after presenting an initial fact or statement can help clearly signal the contrast to the reader or listener. For example, if you're describing events or situations and there is a shift in the direction or outcome that contradicts the initial setup, you would use "but" to bridge these ideas. "I planned to go jogging this morning, but it started raining, so I stayed home."
I did passed Science, math, English and Language through your videos but I failed my Reading section. 😢I was disappointed 😔 but again I have to retake it for 6 times and won’t give up.
It's great to hear you passed most of the sections! Don't be too hard on yourself about the reading section; it's just one step in the journey. Retaking it shows your dedication and perseverance. You've got this, and with each attempt, you're only getting stronger and more prepared. Keep pushing forward, and don't give up! You’re making progress, and that’s what really counts. 🌟
I love your determination! although I have yet to take the TEAS, this comment is truly inspiring. I am one who is easily discouraged. however, I hope and pray the next time around is your very LAST time taking it. Thank you Nurse Cheung!
Hello. Hope all is good. I just wanted to bring up something small, not really a big deal, just something I noticed on your video. As I am watching and preparing for my TEAS I seen this video skips a bit during a review section, about an hour and ten minutes in. Lol. I thought it was me pulling a "squirrel" move, which tends to happen from time to time but went back in the video to clarify. 😄 It does not seem like a big jump, it is just something I noticed as I am watching your video. ❤ 😊 I do appreciate all your videos. Thank you for all you are doing. ❤❤
Oh my goodness!! Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention, and I'm glad to hear you're finding the videos helpful despite the hiccup. We've gone ahead and adjusted the video to smooth out that skip around the one-hour and ten-minute mark. Best of luck with your TEAS preparation! ❤😊
The TEAS and Kaplan nursing entrance exams both measure essential academic skills necessary for nursing programs but in slightly different ways. The TEAS is a general exam used by many nursing schools to assess abilities across four main areas: Reading, Mathematics, Science, and English and Language Usage. Kaplan’s exam, while also comprehensive, may focus more on particular areas or be tailored to fit specific program needs. Each test uses a multiple-choice format, but the content and emphasis can vary based on the nursing program's requirements. Schools might choose one test over the other depending on which one aligns better with their curriculum and assessment philosophy. If you're switching from one test to another, it’s good to review the specific study materials and preparation required for each to address these differences effectively.
@@NurseCheung there is almost no information about kaplan except of smart academy , my major issue is english , somehow i always get confused main idea, topic sentence and topic paragraph 😢
The questions in my videos and study materials aim to closely mimic the style and content of the actual TEAS exam. However, while they're designed to give you a good sense of the types of questions you'll encounter, the exact questions on your TEAS exam will differ. The goal is to prepare you effectively by covering the key concepts and question formats you're likely to see, helping you build the skills and confidence to tackle the actual test.
I have got two questions wrong so far where it asks for the main idea of the passage. I look at the last sentence of the first paragraph and its not it nor an option. Please help
I'm sorry to hear you didn't pass the reading section this time, but it sounds like you were really close! That you recognized a passage from the review means you're on the right track. Just a little more push and you'll get through it next time. Keep practicing those reading strategies and perhaps focus on timing to ensure you can manage all the questions within the allotted time.
Thank you 🫶
Nurse Cheung I have a question does the complete study guide cover all the subjects that’s on the test? Also is there not a hard copy version ?
@@NurseCheung thank you!
Will it be the same in a couple and two topic sentence and main idea? Thank you very much much what you do

GREAT VIDEO
Glad you enjoyed it
I’m taking TEAS tomorrow morning wish me luck 🤦🏼♀️
How did you do? I take mine in a couple hours.
OMG good luck! I take mine in two weeks!! how was it? was there a lot of chemistry questions?
Best of luck on your exam
for the main idea I know you said its the last sentence of the passage but what happens if th are mulit-paragraphs ?
Great question. While I mentioned the main idea can be found in the last sentence of a passage, it's important to clarify that in longer, multi-paragraph texts, the main idea is often located in the last sentence of the first paragraph.
Hello. So, if there are 2, 3, or 4 paragraphs in the passage, the main idea would still be in the last sentence of the very first paragraph?
@@NurseCheungbut what if thats not even an option? Im a little lost im sorry.
Hang in there, and good luck!
are these videos a good sole study guide or it's not enough i should also use other resources your videos are great

Good morning, please how to come out with a logical conclusion in a multi paragraph essay?
Good morning! Crafting a logical conclusion in a multi-paragraph essay involves summarizing your main points, restating the thesis in a new light based on the evidence presented, and providing a final perspective that ties everything together.
Many times the logical conclusion is just the summary sentence in the last paragraph, first sentence. But make sure you read the question thoroughly to confirm.
Thank you so much !!!! Happy I found you channels
Welcome to the channel yoshi :)
We love you nurse cheung ❤❤
And I love all of you :)
Omg you are the best teacher omg urs was more awesome n breaking it dwn simple n easy thnk u😅

@NurseCheung no 😊thank you I swear I wish u was my.your heaven sent.gifts
Thank you ❤ this has been so helpful 😊
when you are taking the teas will that kilometer measuring always be provided like how you used in the practice question? or will we have to memorize that
There is never a guarantee that the measurements will be included so I would definitely have them memorized
Nurse Cheung, I have difficulty understanding what certain words mean. In your reading study guide video, you had a list of words relating to an author's tone and most of those words I did not know.
Practice makes perfect. The more you practice the concepts that are unknown the easier they will become. :)
Can u pls respond , will this work with kaplan nursing entrance test ?
Thank you!
I love this video very clear:)
Thank you :)
Where can I buy the download for this?
You can find all downloads on my store at nursecheungstore.com.
@@NurseCheung thank you
I wanna know if I should buy the study guide through here or I should do
The Teas7 study guide basic package?
I think its all dependent on what you find works better for your learning style. You may want to join our Facebook group to get some feedback on both options which is Nurse Cheung Free ATI TEAS Study Group.
@@NurseCheung thank you 😊
@@NurseCheung I purchased your study guide
Hello Nurse Cheung, I'm interested in purchasing only the TEAS reading portion practice. Can I place an order through your website? English is my second language, and it is my weakest part of the TEAS. Thank you.
Hi Angel. Yes you absolutely can purchase the reading portion separately in the store.
I have a question does the tea test include the glossary index and table of contents in the test?
You can see questions covering these topics on the teas depending on which test you get. :)
Thanks!
Thank you for the support Michelle :) I appreciate you
@@NurseCheung You're welcome you're amazing! God bless you 🙏
I did passed Science, math, English and Language through your videos but I failed my Reading section.
😢I was disappointed 😔 but again I have to retake it for 6 times and won’t give up.
You can do this!
@@eliseh8553 Don't worry Jasmin, you are capable of doing this! Don't give up :D
I ran out of time on mine . I wish I would have found this video before I took it 😢
It’s ok. Dust it off and try again, you got this ✊🏼✊🏼don’t give up
You got this Roseanne. Don't let that define you. You always have another chance.
How close is for kaplan test ?
Are these questions similar to what will be on the actual teas exam?
The questions in my videos and study materials aim to closely mimic the style and content of the actual TEAS exam. However, while they're designed to give you a good sense of the types of questions you'll encounter, the exact questions on your TEAS exam will differ. The goal is to prepare you effectively by covering the key concepts and question formats you're likely to see, helping you build the skills and confidence to tackle the actual test.
I have got two questions wrong so far where it asks for the main idea of the passage. I look at the last sentence of the first paragraph and its not it nor an option. Please help
I passed my test using this video for reading. I did better in reading than science and im not english speaker 😅
Moral of the story, when in doubt choose B!!! Lol jk
You got it. If you are not sure choose an answer and move on. :)
This first question you went over i actually had that same passage on my exam today. I failed reading by 5 points hoping I pass next time 🥹
I'm sorry to hear you didn't pass the reading section this time, but it sounds like you were really close! That you recognized a passage from the review means you're on the right track. Just a little more push and you'll get through it next time. Keep practicing those reading strategies and perhaps focus on timing to ensure you can manage all the questions within the allotted time. You've got this, and I'm here to help you prepare for your next attempt! 📚✨
