- This may be my favorite footage ever! A great segment of a hen turkey yelping, clucking and purring. Ohio youth season 2009 with a member of Beyond The Backyard. We didn't get the gobbler you hear in the background. Sit back, relax and enjoy the sounds of spring.
And my buddy says I call too much! Dam hen clucking away!
She sounds like my wife. Lol
Turkey hunters: “Never call took much.” Real hen: “Watch this!!” 😂
Sounds like opening day on public hunting land
faxxx
My goodness, that hen is just like my wife - won't shut-up! 😎
Thank you very much for your calling it held the turkeys to where me and my cousin could both tag out on day one of our very first hunt
Imagine having to listen to her all day!
I had rather listen to her than my wife!
In all my 30 years of turkey hunting I have never heard a single hen make that much racket. The longest Yelp sequence I ever heard from a wild turkey hen may have had around 30 notes…the hen in this video yelps over 100 notes in one sequence!
If I hadn't known that was a hen, I probably would have stomped over there intending to tell somebody to give it a rest.
By far one of the best vids on TH-cam
The old boss hen didn't like another loud hen in her woods. These type hens will mimic every call you make until they can't see another turkey.
I have never in my life heard a hen call that much!! I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it.
she sounds like a hammer going off in the distance at the 3 minute mark..cutting back at you. ROBO HEN!
That hen was fired up.
Good Lord, she was very very active! I don't think I've ever heard one make so much noise for so long.
Boss hen
Bout to hear one tomorrow morning!
Ben Lee would be proud of that hen,Man O man!
Can't find a better decoy than that!!! It even calls the gobblers in for you!! Haha awesome video! Never seen anything like this
Thanks guys, I am glad you enjoy this.
that hen was like "ummm this damn b*tch callin me to meet her in the middle of nowhere, sayin' that she is lost"...."got me twisted yellin' her name and stuff"
Amazing.......! Thanks for the show......Amen....!
Had a hen do this to me once, I just got settled and hit the call a few subtle licks and she came running to me. Stayed within 10 yards and clucked and yelped for 40 minutes! Didn't see a gobbler lol
I use this to call them up to my back window.
That's cute! I love their purring!
Good calling..boy she yelps for ever Good stuff. Country boy Jeff Osborne
Didnt get the gobbler, he dropped out of road and popped up in the food plot. We got him the nexy day...
I'm with you on that one. Geez. About five or six yelps and I start to worry that I'm overdoing it.
Very nice took it out back
i just love that in a woods make my heart sing
impressive calling!
She is ticked! Lol
I had a hen do that same thing to me last spring. She called like crazy every time I called at her and she eventually led a gobbler right to me!
WOW!!! Now that is a decoy right there!!! LOL Great footage!!! Gotta love it when they put on a show for ya'!!!
5/5
-DUDE
The sequence around 3:30, that hen wanted a piece of you! Ready for a fight! On another note, I`ll never let anyone tell me I`m overcalling again. 8^)
Amazing footage of the female turkey!
Great video! Excellent to try to imitate.
Position is the most important thing, I've called most turkey in with two clucks.
Don't know why do many dislikes, that was great footage, keep it up man
Man was she cutting it loose. And after seeing this I will never listen to the Dumb A's who say I tend to over call at times. Great Vid thanks
Sounds like a beagle running. Lol
she thirsty lmao
the dude on the call sounds better then the real thing hahaha
Great footage!!
Kool shot!!!!
Spring youth season in Ohio a few years back...

Best way to call a tom is let her do it for you. Way cool.
amazing. well done.
Sounds like Adam Levine to me....
;.;
nice video enjoyable
I am not, that is a real crow that flew-in on our set-up. They will do that sometimes, especially a noisy hunt like this one...
@chriswallswvu BAHHAHA that is the funniest thing ever!!!! "man, thats a good crow call!" "that's because its a real crow...."
she was lookin for a fight after those cuts
Just like a woman: has to have the last word.
wow thats all i can say...this is amazing footage! and ive never heard a hen call that many times in a row before XD
Only my ex wife could go on like that without stopping, just yammering on and on.
I use a ghost cut call. A friend in alabama stretches them for me...
Okay, what I want to know is who was calling and EXACTLY what call was being used? Besides the great hen calling footage this is the best calling I have ever heard. Most callers suck. So please share what call you were using. Thanks.
Paul Ogie, that is me calling and I am using a ghost cut mouth call...
that title pretty much says it all. man...
They is GREAT footage! That Tom was fired up, and she was the most chatty hen I have ever heard! What kind of call were you using, and was the crow in the blind with you?! haha
Probably a crow call, used as a gobbler locator
She is PO'd!!!! Good job on that. To bad the Tom didnt come close for the shot until the next day.
That was amazing :)
Typical female...she just wouldn't shut up. (Only kidding, for all the female hunters)
You're right, that is GREAT footage and I could hear the Tom comming in the background. I have to get one of those moving, talking decoys for my set up!
THE FUTURE OF HUNTING TV SHOW
Lol
She's definitely a yaker !!! 5*****
yeah i use a hs strut too just the old raspy hen one
I had a hen do that last week to me.

Great vid. What call were you using?
One of my best clips!
Saying hat hat hat....
2:00 what's this on my feather? HOLY SHIT ANOTHER TURKEY! lmao!
I had a dominant hen like this get between me and a buddy that were calling, me on slate and him using mouth call. She would not shut up, she flew in a tree over him and screamed at him! Then she flew down and came after me. She saw me clear but flew back in tree again and hollered for 30 minutes. We never saw a tom. Rusty Haynes-Prez. Haynes Hunting Systems
I had a hen come in to me like this last year (May 2014) on consecutive days and she would mix in a gobble. Yes gobble repeatedly. I didnt move and couldnt get rid of her. Her racket and my calling(?) brought in a hungry black bear boar, I guess looking for her nest? Catskill Mts, NYS
You got that right! LoL.
Wow I m always scared to overcall...
grathering call old boss hen
damn she's desperate...
was tht like a distress calling sequence or sumthin
Cant start my Car sounds turkey
i heard a gobler in the backround
Sounds Like Billy Yargus!!!!
@chriswallswvu that's the one i just bought for my first turkey hunt do you have any tips for using it more efficiently
Chris did you guys hammer the gobbler? Where's the kill shot?
what kind of camera you using. NICE job enjoyed it.
must of seen something at the end there
Who says you can't call too much?
great job calling. did u get that tom?
Newbie question here: how do you know when it's a turkey and not another hunter?
What call are you using?
How did the gobbler not come in? What happened?
OH!
gobler
looks like someone is a loner that old raspy hen must of got lost.
oh its fun messing with them hens
Noticed that argument brought the Tom in. Were you able to make the kill?
Did you use a slate?
Is it the fall season?
She sounds very lonely to me.
