It makes me laugh in a way, because James Hetfield said Les Claypool was "too funky" for Metallica, but I'm pretty sure Trujillo didn't perform this way in Ozzy's band either.

I vé met Mike Muir in a Festival in Belgium. he s a very Nice guy .Very humble.nice memory together. Respect to him . And the live of infectious groove was awesome.Trujillo was very talented.and Stephen Perkins on Drums was very good as well. i was already fan of Infectious Groove but when I saw them, whaou ,I unterstood théir s high skill musicians .very good live band 😎👍✌

I remember I was a huge ST fan when this came out and thought it would be another ST album. This blew me away when I heard it. 20 yrs later I'm still listening to it and this music is still as great as the first time I heard it.
First of all Mike Muir and suicidal crew got me thru my teen life, then came Infectious Grooves!!! My mother passed in 84, I found them just at the right time in my life. Thank you guys so much for being my rock!! By the way, saw suicidal 4 times, met a few of you in Worcester, best day, but I was shy haha. Great music, great lyrics in suicidal tendencies for me, needed to feel understood!!! And great change of focus for me with Infectious Grooves. You're still my favorite band and go to when I'm pissed or low!! Haha over 30 years later!!

Infectious Groove is like Primus, the bass is very audible and loud with the bassist player Bein very high skill (both Les Claypool and Rober truijro are very skilled bass players), but the difference is the song style, and even though both bands are from different genres, they are the same in the lyrics and humor of the songs: very goofy and silly while being really serious at the same time (with Infectious bein more to the silly part than the serious part). Also Infectious Grooves kick ass alot, probably the most badass funk Metal band ever!

Funny I was playing this album with some younger rockers and they thought it was new I just laughed and said nooo this came way before you were born.
my step dad introduced me to this band back when I was 16 years old. That was 23 years ago, and these dudes NEVER got me tired of listening to them. Greatest band in the world and criminally underrated. It amazes me how many people have no idea what Trujillo was up to years before joining Metallica. So badass to see him in his natural element.

He wasn't in the situation to do half of that stuff before. Vladd, yes, they were formed after ST. Only two of them are from ST. Mike Muir and Robert Trujillo. Mike still runs ST. Robert later played for Ozzy and now is Metalica's bassist.
@@xhellabentx I think it really just comes down to what kind of music you listen to, I love metal, mostly thrash and that is why I love early Metallica and Death Magnetic a lot, their 90s stuff is also pretty good to me mostly for the lyrics and vocals and bass, but then they had a lot of filler in my opinion. Hopefully their next album is great, and I hope Trujillo can add something cool there.

I saw Infectious Grooves open up for Ozzy in the 90s. Robert Trujillo played bass for both bands! He's a monster.
