    Good review Chris, we have had the 12-person tent for a while now and do find some things frustrating with it as you have identified. A few issues that really bug me are
    1. there are no internal holes in the walls to pass leads through, so every lead has to go through a door, which means you cant zip the screens completely shut
    2. The front section of the T is not high enough and isn't supported like the rest of the tent is
    3. The fly is very large = heavy and takes two people to put it over the tent, which in itself is pretty tall, we have resolved this to some extent by using tent poles to lift the fly
    The other thing is that the knuckles on the roof are prone to fail resulting in the tent collapsing, however, OzTrail replaced these for us.
    Overall a pretty good tent

      Thanks for adding your thoughts into the mix mate. Got to agree with your points. And you're right, getting the fly over solo would be a mission. But probably don't need a 12-bedder if you're solo, lol.
      I haven't had the knuckles fail, but I did have the legs fold up once so far they went passed their mark and went all the way around. It did my head in for an hour trying to work out how the hell it happened.

    Great review man, thank you! Thinking about getting this tent for our family of 5. Looks the perfect size. The ease and a fast set up is such a huge bonus when you've got the 3 kids bugging you at the same time! I read a review online that said the front compartment roof sagged and collected all the condensation and leaked. Did you experience anything like this?

      Thanks mate. My experience was that the middle of the annex would sag and even fill with water, it's true. But I never had it leak. I just stick my head into it in the morning and let it run off the sides.

    Thank you for the review 🙌 just a question where did you camp in this video? 😅

      No worries. The first campsite was the Seven Mile Holiday Park in Gerroa. The second site was Woolondilly River Station - th-cam.com/video/oSh9gqqOnxc/w-d-xo.html

    Hey Chris! It's a really cool review. Where we camp, it can rain quite a bit. What would your opinion be on the rainproofing?

    • @motivatedtravel
      @motivatedtravel  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Cheers mate. I never had it leak on me. I'm trying to recall how many times we got rained on while I was using it. At least a dozen times. One in particular I remember was torrential. I never had any issues with leaking.

    Is the lighted area just the middle room? Seems there isn’t separate lights for each room

    • @motivatedtravel
      @motivatedtravel  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, just the middle room. We've found it to be bright enough though for most in-tent activities in all three sectons, such as finding clothes to wear or looking for lost keys.

      @@motivatedtravel I've just found out that there is a newer version of the tent with zoned lighting. I didn't want to wake up the kids late at night switching on the lights well after they have gone to sleep. I'll be looking at the new tent with zoned lighting
