Ya don’t run them fender flares either, they rub and mess up the clear coat around your fenders

Thankfully the oem dodge one that came with my 03 is the style that goes under the top rail so it doesnt rub the paint off but yeah they rub badly.

Plastic bed liner is great the trick is put a spray in bed liner down first
Those bed liners were doing that in the 80s. I can’t believe they still sell those. Best things are spray in and a thick rubber mat. Good video. We could sure use a mean tweet and under $2.00 gas .

I have raptor lined alot on my 2001 duramax rocker panels and canopy and it is definitely an awesome product
I respect the liner job, I have done it before but I will never do it again. Never will look as good as a line x premium job. I love my line-x spray in liner. #linex
I feel like the plastic adds more protection and easier to slide heavy things on
definitely grab another bottle or two, and use the raptor gun and get a nice thick rough coat on it, will help it from scratching up to bare metal so bad

I have the factory rubber bed mat in my 94 k1500 and its still mint underneath. Im talking nice paint and all
I love that silver texture bed liner didn't even realise you can get it in other colors besides black
I havent even watched the video but the autobody work I've done is allways spend the extra money and do your own bed liner you can roll it on or spray the materal on the surface
If the bedliner is applied thicker it will cover minor stuff but honestly if you apply it thin like that and put the drop in plastic one back in that's the way to go because it keeps your bed from rusting and you can throw bricks, chains, logs, rock, whatever you're hauling and you won't dent your bed so if you want a clean look or go to sell it it'll still look good and not need a new box and the liner does scratch I've taken a few good chunks out of mine hauling some scrap
Put a oem chevy bed liner that doesnt wrap up around the bed it just goes inside the bed those look good and wont eat your paint.
I had the rino liner put on my truck when I bought it after several years it started fading of so I bought a gallon of hurculiner you roll ot on with a roller masked it off and the one gallon did the whole bed with two coats it turned out great and I do have the under the rail plastic bed liner on my ford it's been in there for close to 30 years protects the bed really well but it does wear the paint some but you never see it
I hate to say it Josh, but that stuff is going to peel. One thing I've learned is you should of put down an adhesive promoter or a etching primer first.
I like the rhino bed liner spray in I used to do them and if you prep the bed proper and clean it will hold up get the black the color fades over yrs the 2 part epoxy holds up great
Should have used two kits so it would be thicker, when I do a bedliner from US linings with going over the rail it's about 3 gallons of material.... hopefully it holds up
If you use a plastic cup for angle grinder it will scuff the bed enough as well

I got tired of it on the 2nd LBZ rebuild. On the 2006 I did rust bullet with bedliner over the top of it. On the 2007 I pulled it apart after I blew the motor and decided to sand blast the frame in hot dip galvanize it. 👍
Where did you buy the LED Turn signal lights with clear edges?/ Non orange.
You never know what the stock rods are going to do... my 104,000 mile 97 12 valve let a rod out the block using 1 turbo with 50psi of boost... took out the new head as well, everything was new but the block , crank and rods

Look at previous vids, EFI Live is the way to tune but deleting is much harder with all the regulations and enforcement now. Gotta go underground now. Shops can't legally do it anymore

And mirrors are okay but I have the same problem but mine is the other way you going to need to be pushed out not pulled in
I hate insert bedliners just for this reason. Where I live in the Pacific Northwest water gets under them and rusts out the bed.

put the plastic liner back in and you will not see the scratches and dents. My 2000 gmc still has it’s original plastic liner and i’m sure there’s scratches on the floor but the bed it’s self is still in very good shape . unfortunately the front bottom of the bed rotted out so i put a diamond plate piece in. it’s only a weekend truck but she got a total frame swap and engine swap

If you cut the front off of the bedliner they will cover two pallets of firewood. They make a good outhouse roof as well.

I have the same knockoff mirrors as him and they are junk. I've pulled the one clear off the rails trying to extend it at least 4 times and they shake like crazy going down the road.

My opinion I hate Bedliner cause it peels and it gets dirt in it and u can get rid of it but it looks good in some cases but I like a rubber mat in my opinion

Put the plastic liner in after. That wood and whatever else will eventually puncture holes and dents in your bed and will destroy it. Just my two cents

Bed mats are okay, but plastic diaper liners are a no no for sure. The drain holes under the liner can plug and cause water to pool under the plastic. The. Boom without warning you have a shit rusted bed.

heres the deal ive raptor lined 3 of my trucks complete using the gun you used killed the texture you need to use their gun to achieve the raptor texture ! lower the pressure heavier the texture higher the pressure lighter the texture it only peels off if proper prep is not done . in fact one of my trucks is on raptors site a few years ago

Plastic bedliner did nothing to the duramax, the duramax is under the hood.
However, it wrecked that bed.

As always great team effort. Always just good seeing both of you on a project together. Just cool. Plastic bedliners are temporary to get you to the point you can apply a Raptor liner. Looks great and you already know you won't go wrong with it. Plus very affordable. Always good to see the Rustbelt Mechanic. You have a good following/ gathering of friends. All the liner parts look amazing
Cap foam under the top of the box...then grease ur bed to cover it ...I know a guy that did that and truck was a rusty mess years down the road.. but the box was still like new inside!!. Plus I knew a guy that greased his chrome wheels in the winter. Then summer time used oven cleaner and those rims looked new for years!!!...
