Another all-in-the-box ready-to-fly RC aircraft from Eachine. We have seen warbirds and high and low wing scale planes from Eachine previously but this is the first jet I can recall them creating ! As with all other RC aircraft from Eachine the transmitter supports Beginner, Midd and Expert modes. Beginner limits roll and pitch and prevents you rolling inverted. Midd mode is the same but with a higher degree of control. Expert is 'safetys off' and allows full control. You can use the Aerobatic trick button before using the right stick to indication the direction of the trick you would like to perform.
Easy to hand launch with full power but get your right hand back on the transmitter quickly to get control and gain some altitude. I launched in Midd mode and it took me a couple of minutes to get used to the sensitivity. Only very small movements are required to correct the direction of the F-16 and it is challenging to achieve smooth flying. I had one rough arrival and the rubber nose certainly prevented any significant damage. Another gentle launch and I was flying again.
This is a challenging RC jet to fly. I would advise anyone who gets this to fly it in a wide open space and start in Beginner mode before going for Midd mode. We'll fly the F-16 again soon to see if we can achieve some better flight characteristics.

It was unexpectedly challenging Dave but I like to show how these things fly right out of the box. Too many other channels out there who will just tell it's amazing regardless of how it flies. I'm sure with some tweaking it will fly much better. Most RCs are better on second session.

It is an awsome plane, but I already have the Mustang and I am very satisfied with it. I wish Eachine made some German Warbirds, like the Bf 109 to go with the allied planes. Who else would like the idea of mini aerial combat with the eachine warbirds?
Definitely although I really am hoping they bring out a Spitfire. Would sell like hot cakes !

Looks like either CG is off, or the gyros gains need lowering.
No on both of those. CG is as book and the battery cannot be moved as compartment is tight and it only just fits in. The gains on the gyro cannot be changed. It is extremely sensitive on the stick even in Midd mode. It's just a case of getting used to the way it flies.
does it actually do loops and rolls? in beginner mode ? usually loops. .and rolls normally only in mid or expert .looks a bit jumpy . maybe a windy day. thanks for the demo
I'll try the aerobatic button next time out...but I'm fairly sure it works in beginner mode. That's the point really. It makes a limited flight more aerobatic at the click of a button. Very light wind and I don't think it was a factor. The sticks were very sensitive and take some getting used to. Simple as that.
try adjusting the control linkage on the elevator to the inside hole. usually works if over sensative look fwd to seeing the next one .love all your videos especially the xk 450 one youve done

Yes. Correct CG and the battery cannot be moved anyway. Tight fit getting the battery in. It's a side affect of the gyro stabilisation in Midd mode I guess. A lot more sensitive than the warbirds from Eachine. Just takes a few minutes to get used to the way it flies.

Sadly not. It's the included radio only I think.

$106 for that? Don't think so. My, how prices have gone up hugely for such things. They should be giving them away as partial compensation for COVID-19.
Prices for all things RC have gone up buddy.
I bought mine a month ago. My first 4 flights went well. On my fifth one, the jet won’t stay up. There is not enough rpm to keep the jet up. Please don’t ask me to check if the battery was well charged or if while binding I trimmed the throttle well. I troubleshooted it. The engine performance has decreased just 4 flight after.
Not sure if these are new models but they need to fixe it. This is not good.

Do you find it equally twitchy and sensitive in Midd mode? Or do you fly it in Beginner mode?
@@EssentialRC I moved the Linkage on the Elevator to the bottom holes on the Control Horns and cut some foam to move the Linkage to the inside holes on the servo arms and that smoothed it out nicely in intermediate mode. It was way too twitchy before those adjustments in intermediate mode for me as well.

Looks to need some balancing.
I really don't think it does. Very easy to think that. If you flew it you would see it's gyro behaviour. I need to try the other modes on a second session to see if I can improve it.
