    Such a great tutorial and very easy. I crochet for refugee babies in Yemen, Syria and Greece and with this easy pattern I'm able to make many in a short space of time. Thank you.

    I’ve been crocheting since the 60’s, mostly from written instructions. TH-cam is a blessing for new projects, especially if the instructions are clearly given and the presenter’s work is always well lit and visible. Your presentations are the best! I wish TH-cam had been around when I first took up the crochet hook.

    This is a wonderful video. Learning how to crochet at 36 isn't easy but your instructions are so clear, and the video quality is so good, this makes it much easier for a beginner. And thank you for repeating every little thing, even the "chain 1, which is not counted as a stitch" at every new round. It's missing little things like this that can confuse a total beginner. Much love and light

You are explaining in an easy way to understand and so making beginners happy..:) My little shoes have become cool and funky, since I was changing the colors (left shoe with grey sole and top, yellow in between, right shoe with yellow sole and top, grey in between.) I love your easy to understand video! Like others said, your note about how many stitches to have at end of each round is helpful to make us successful. I’m sure you get comments about your soothing voice and accent. It reminds me of the aunt in “Derry Girls”. I doubt that you’re a goofball like her, but thought it would give you a chuckle. The actress is Kathy Kiera Clarke.

      Right?? So I don't have to restart all over again to make the second bootie. I would pause the video after the she explains a couple of steps. Did one and repeated the same steps to make the second one. And I did the same sequence every step of the way til the very end. Using the same yarn and hook. Hahaha hahaha..... And i still managed to get one that was slightly bigger then the other or wonky looking! For as much as I stretched them out and re-did the rim on the wonky looking one! Hahahaha..... I had to set them aside. To not be tempted to re-do the funky looking one. And later that evening my cousin came over for a visit. And she asked what I'd been up today. To which I pulled out the Lil' pair of booties. And she went crazy over them. And didn't even notice a thing! Gosh, how I hate that I can be so hard on myself! I made peace with them not be perfect. Since I made them with love! I shall sew baby's name on one of the sole's. To give them to my cousin's baby girl Keila,who's days away from entering this world! Thanks Wooly Wonders for telling us how many stitches would be in every beginning and end of a row. Til' I found yours. I had already unraveled my booties. Cause the previous lady I was following wouldn't guide us along the way. To which each bootie came out different. But you spared me the stress of giving up! Thanks💗

    You are one of the best teachers on youtube when it comes to crochet, thank you for sharing with those of us who are new to this and get confused when the full instuction are not given which is very frustrating. Yes there is a pause button but it's annoying having to stop the video and go back to try and find where the hell you were....LOL I love watching you crochet and love working along with you as it makes me feel like I am right there with you .....once again thank you very much.

    This tutorial is fantastic! You go step by step so we don't get lost, explain everything in easy to understand directions, and speed up the video during repeat stitches. I tried three other tutorials this morning before I tried this one and I got frustrated and gave up each time. With your help and instruction, I have made my first set of baby booties. I am absolutely thrilled with how they look! Thank you for this video and wonderful pattern. I will definitely be checking out more of your videos in the future! ❤

    Tip: pay close attention to which way the white ridge on the sole is facing when she does the toes!
    She does the toes basically inside out. It wasn’t until I noticed this that I got the shape exactly like hers and it looks way nicer.

    I adore these booties! Thank you soo much!!
    A quick tip for complete beginners like myself :) this may be obvious but the tension you use on the first one is probably not going to be the same as the second one so..
    When you finish the sole of the second one, measure it against the sole of the first one and adjust your needle size accordingly. You may have to do the same for the body of the bootie.
    I finished my first one using a size 4mm needle all the way. For the second I had to use 5mm for the sole and 4.5mm for the body for them to match!

      Jim ba same. I keep coming back to start over. Even on the first row I mess up somewhere. I don't get it i rewind and replay. I've written down the steps. I'm very new but have done a few blankets, potholders, and practice stitches making nothing or just odds and ends. Maybe the dogs are interrupting me or the cats accidentally pulled a loop out while I stopped momentarily to let the dogs in or out. I don't think they want me to do this project. Sigh.
      Lol ill press on.

    For people getting lost - DONT FORGET THE CHAIN DOESNT COUNT, SO YOU STILL NEED TO START INT THE STITCH RIGHT UNDER THAT CHAIN.
    DONT DO a Hdc2Tog twice, even though that's what she says. She means once.
    R1 = 24 stitches, R2 = 36st, R3 - 48st, R4 - 48st, R5 - 40st, R6 - 36st, R7 - 32st, R8 - 28st, R9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 - 26st

    I am a beginner and I made these booties with little trouble. I initially tried it with a multi-colored yarn and I confess, that was a nightmare! So back to the store I went for some nice, smooth, single colored yarn and then I had great success. When I finished, I decided to sew in a strand of the multi-colored yarn around the ankle and left tying a little bow in the front. This enables me to pull snug for some added security. Great tutorial!!
