How do you assign parameters to mod performance knobs using the editor? Every time I click on things within the editor I can't figure out how to assign things. I know I can use the hardware for it, but I want to know how to do it for the editor. This tutorial definitely helped me out a lot, but I still would like to know how to mod things to make weird glitches in my performance.
Yeah you can, it shows the FX at around 4:42 in the video, its one of the tabs at the bottom of the app. It's probably easier to do this in software rather than on the Wavestate
Hi, would you know how to adjust the screen shape of the editor/librarian to fit the whole laptop screen in proportion? I have to reduce the view to 60% to display the bottom of the screen as well, which also reduces the width of it and makes it harder to see details. Thanks!
@@DavidThomCreations I can live with it, love the ability to move performances from one setlist to another. On the editor page, I can't see the ability to adjust the amount of reverbs, delays etc for performances. Am I missing something? BTW, the editor/librarian for my Cobalt 5S fits the laptop screen perfectly.
To import patches just open the Librarian software and go to File - Import and select the relevant WS file. Check out my store at dtcstore.company.site for all my Wavestate Preset packs.
@@DavidThomCreationsI like that interface , but i wish there’s a solution for more efficient Cabling. Instead of using cables for audio and another cables for midi
This video started out good, but then lost focus and fell into sound design sketchbook. I would have liked it to focus on what unique features of the editor make the workflow easier, and how they work.
I think I covered quite a lot of useful information regarding the software. Adjusting things like the sample and timing lanes, key zones and finding multi-samples were all items that made workflow easier in my opinion.
@@DavidThomCreations absolutely. I failed to give credit where it's due. My apologies. I thank you for getting us oriented with the layout and how it is of benefit.
@@Rightly_Divided yes thanks Matt, ive seen it and tried it. its awesome! the only thing, my 6year old computer struggle with cpu. i will exploit it more with my next computer
Please help: do I need to instal a USB driver when I connect the Wavestate onto PC via USB cable?
I don't know as I use a Mac so would be different. If your just connecting to the Editor then probably not.

I'll have a look at this and get back to you, cheers
In the editor/librarian can the effects section of a patch be edited? I don't see one, thanks.

@@DavidThomCreations Thanks, can't wait to dive in. Generally, I find the effect(s) levels too high in many performances. Appreciate your help!

Yeah I think you're stuck with a fixed aspect ratio on that one. I don't use a laptop so never had an issue.

Hello David, any idea on where I can find this editing software for mac platform?, I can only seem to find windows compatible software.
Here's the link for Mac page

Thanks for this helpful guide..is there one on how to import patches?

Does anybody know how to record wavestate sounds directly to DAW in PC without connecting to audio interface?
Can't be done, WS needs an audio interface to record. I recommend my Focusrite Scarlett 18i8.

Good thing but I cant believe its not a VST... Even in 2007 the Korg M3 editor was vst
Does it matter?
@@DavidThomCreations yes it does cause it allos patch recall from the daw
They now do have a vst and sounds identical to the hardware. Only thing you will be missing is real time knob turning to make more unique sounds.

@@kicksNCY Good to hear! Yeah once you get it to its full capability it should really stand out.
