    What Design Sprint videos do you want to see us make next?!

    • @jeroenvandeneijkhof191

      AJ&Smart make one that focuses on “Enterprise design sprints” and talks about the consideration when conducting design sprints in large organizations. It’s not all different but has it’s own challenges, what are those and how can one overcome them?

      I'd like to see a series devoted to remote design sprints. If not that, a series of videos over time on design sprint stumbles, and what came out of your internal retrospectives to try something different the next go-around. Hope that helps!

      A video that tells and shows the difference and workflow betweem HMWs and Goal/Sprint Questions part and how it leads to a map. And thank you for all the videos! It's great help :)

      Remote design sprints. The rest of my team (POs + Devs) are all over US and it's just us the UX ppl are in one room.

    The content in here are awesome and one of the most valuable sources doing a design sprint. I did my first one for a large organization and these videos where gold to me. I also read the book but this gave me additional tips and helped me avoid pitfalls. Please continue with this and make some with a focus on doing it in large orgs ;)

    This series of videos is awesome. It's helping me really get to grips with the DS2.0 process, thanks. Can you clarify how the 'Can We' statements are used in the rest of the sprint, please? I can see a few people have asked this in the comments below, but don't appear to have been answered. Thanks!

    Hi, whats the difference between HMW and Can We..??

  • @GBZ754
    @GBZ754 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have several questions:
    1- Does the design sprint apply to most design processes? Ex. A branding project
    2- is there a specific kind of workshop u do with a client to better understand what they have in mind beforehand? Can you share a video about that?
    3- can you apply the same design process on a longer period of time, for example a month instead of a 4 day project? But taking the exact same steps in a design sprint and spread them over a month, does that also work?
    Thank you and sorry if you have the answers already in previous videos, I’m trying to watch as many as I can, thanks again!

      It’s whoever holds the power to drive decisions. Usually, this is the highest status title, but can also be someone empowered by the biz like a Product Manager.

    Hi! Great video! One question though: Do people discuss things while writing long-term goals and sprint questions? Or are they supposed to do it silently?
    Also, does the decidor also write long term goals and sprint questions?

    • @DrJamesT

      If expert interviews takes 20mins, the goal should take 10mins (5mins card write @1:17, 5mins vote) and the same for challenge 10mins

    As of 2:46 in the video, for the Long Term Goal, what if the decider don't find any of the voted rectangular post-it attractive to him/her? Does he/she have to pick the least worst one from the post-its or could the decider write his own Long Term Goal?

  • @DarrenbyDesign

    So Monday morning is: Step 1 - Expert Interviews+HMW // Step 2 - Long Term Goals+Sprint Questions // Step 3 - Map. --One of the expert interview questions was long term goals. Would this then begin Step 2 and the activity for that including Sprint questions?... and then HMW after?

  • @ChrisChappelle
    @ChrisChappelle 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I'm wondering, because the 'In 2 years time...' question is very long term, can responses be so broad they aren't specifically relevant to what you want to focus on in the sprint? For example, let's say you're doing a sprint on a specific part of a business or app. Do you ask people to narrow their LTG to that part of the business/service?

    • @AJSmart
      @AJSmart  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually, your long term goal will reflect your scope of the sprint.. but it should be more broad than you could actually tackle in the sprint week itself!

  • @samuelfreeman5620
    @samuelfreeman5620 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Do you ever find that the client questions why we are only focussing on one of the sprint questions, when all the others are important too? I, of course, understand that the sprint needs a focus, as you can't answer and fix all the problems, so having a focus helps narrow the process to answer the most important question, but with some many opinions in the room from the client side, I understand why the client would think 'what's gonna happen to all the other problems and how do we solve those!?'. I hope this makes sense haha.

    This is the part where the book is lacking in details. The method stated in the book for coming up spring questions are very confusing, it suggests participants look at the goal and ask "in order to reach the goal, what has to be true? " then turn the answer into a question. Whereas in this video, all you have to do is to frame all the challenges into "can we..." format and then choose. Thanks or the explanation!

    In design sprint 2.0, what is the first thing to do as an exercise, ask the experts session or creating a long-term goal?

  • @Heartog.Design
    @Heartog.Design 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I am a bit confused. So the first thing you do on monday is "ask the experts" and the 2. is "long term goal & Srpint questions". I just saw your "ask the experts" video and you use almost the same techniques for both points. This confuses me and it is probably confusing for participants, too. Could you clear that up a little bit?
