    Say hypothetically someone has an Oscar ACA plan in effect and comes to you on Jan 3 wanting to change to a BC/BS plan. Since their plan is already effective can you switch it and give them a 02/01 effective date. And if no, can the 30 day look back come into play to help move them over to Blue Cross?

    • @thinkmedicarethinkaca
      @thinkmedicarethinkaca  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      yes, you can switch it and start new BCBS plan 2/1. After Jan 15th, OEP is over.

    You are such a blessing to us new agents writing plans for the ACA Health Insurance. I was wondering if you could help me with a scenario. My client has a household of three, but only has the Social Security number for himself and not the other two he has claimed how should I handle this? This is my first enrollment ever and your help would be greatly appreciated.

      Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad I could be of help. In this scenario, it's important to ensure accurate information is provided for enrollment. I would recommend reaching out to your insured. All he has to do is look at his 2022 tax return and he can get the Socials from there. If you are not insuring the other 2, then you don't need it. But I still put it in the app!!

    How should you choose which company to use to quote the bronze, silver and gold plans in the first place?

      I sort by doctors and Rx. then i let the insured know who is in network and who is not. then i check Rx. I give them the data and let them tell me what carrier they want.

    Luis on the ACA deductibles does it have to be paid in a lump sum or is it partially paid into depending on the service that was provided?

    • @thinkmedicarethinkaca
      @thinkmedicarethinkaca  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      the deductible is a paid. This is how its paid. Let's say you have $250 ded, 10% co-insurance, with an out of pocket of $1000.

    • @thinkmedicarethinkaca
      @thinkmedicarethinkaca  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      lets say you go get an MRI and that cost is $2000. The MRI facility will want to collect the $250 from the insured. this is because once the claim is paid, the $250 will be removed from the amount that the facility will received from the carrier.

    • @thinkmedicarethinkaca
      @thinkmedicarethinkaca  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      then, the remainder of the bill is split 90% carrier and 10% insured until the max out of pocket is met
