Dude I totally agree with you, this would have been a great way to grind and make money but the fact we can only do it once a week ruins it. Rockstar is mad we finally have a great way of making money that’s actually fun. Especially those of us that play solo, finding ransoms for heists is just painful
Seems like they learned their lesson from Cayo Perico about how much players take advantage of being able to rake in millions of dollars solo without fear of randoms hogging the pay or constantly messing things up.

I just found out minutes before this video - these missions are Weekly Tunables, with a possible 100 cars to steal. There is the currently unused feature that allows us to buy the cars we steal for a discount, rather than Sell or Salvage, meaning this DLC is a new avenue for R* to offer vaulted cars. I get that - but if they could actually allow us to replay the mission within that week after we've decided what to do with the car from that Robbery, but not "re-steal" the car that week with a fixed smaller payout until the next week, that would be more user-friendly for people who want to play the missions themselves. Furthermore, I'm really hoping they can offer all 5 Robberies each week down the line, and they're just limiting for the opening weeks - but the current UI doesn't fill me with hope.
Although i be frank why do we need to buy the car we stole it in first place and keep it for ourselves for free? Seems really stupid they done that. None of the cutscene implies we have to buy it. I was under assumption i keep it for free instead

What's even worse is that for the career progress you need to complete these doing all the challenges but if you mess them up and fail one of the challenges then now you have to wait who knows how long in order for the same robbery to come back around just to get one more attempt. For me, this dlc was looking great and promising until i found out about that 1 week cooldown bs🤦🏻♀️. This dlc is still better than CE, Drug wars and San Andreas mercenaries all combined to me but this 1 week cooldown is a huge turnoff, the mini heists are fun and all but it looks like Rockstar don't want us to play their game that much anymore...

Last time was the aircraft carrier.. we get an f35 and play a mission on the carrier but dont sell us the carrier... every dlc its the same.. and why would we not get the cop outfit if ther gna sell us 3.6 million dollar cop cars.. blaine county 1990 cop cars mind you.. not even the newer style like in LS... no cop motorcycle.. so many players and youtubers would promote the game nore if they stopped leavin out that one or 2 crucial pieces of the dlc that would make it a complete dlc... to where the communitys like yea finally they nailed it and brought us a dlc worth playin, good job rockstar..... nope.. such a let down.. and they keep doin it and its a smack in the face that hurts more everytime they do it..
The only way I can forsee this being forgivable is if these mission thefts are all tying into some big finale theft. A culmination of events if you will. And then after all the dripfeed is done, it allows you to replay all these thefts in order to replay the finale again without the week long waits
I got another rant. When we select what car we want to steal they should tell us the name of the mission that you are doing so that way when it's recycled and you want to do that again you can at least know which one is which
The Autoshop contracts have little to no cooldown & they have the exact same payouts or similar to the salvage yard robberies, there is no reason there should be a week long cooldown for the new missions. I’d like them to be repeatable with the same payouts.
i’m glad i’m not the only one who saw the 4 slots in the garage. i thought the same thing too BUT i do wish we could repeat the mission they would just pay out at a cheaper price if you repeat them
and what sucks too is not a lot of people have friends to do casino heist with with cayo nerfed on its last legs grinding business is so tedious by yourself it’s just not worth playing by yourself anymore
It’s going to be 3 out of 5 heists that the player will do per week and they will cycle at random every Thursday to chop up the cars or sell them yusiff
I'm very dissapointed in this DLC. The Autoshop was a much better one for a grinder and as a car guy it gave us much more. I've made around 35 million on the contract board missions. But the added drift package on certain cars for people to drift is bloody brilliant and i have had a huge blast last couple days driving more sideways then in a strait line😅😂
You only made that much because you exploited the phone call to refresh the board and get the highest paying one every time, and you probably used both characters.

Im hoping R* is still working on the new missions for next week and theyre going to keep it like this until they have enough to make it a daily rotation. These missions seem like they have a lot more thought behind them compared to the mercenaries update. This dlc didnt even have a title or trailer until after it was released they probably dont have enough ppl working on this and the ones that are are seem to be trying their best to give us something different. Dont forget we have a possible heist coming soon that doesnt even involve stealing cars plus holiday content.
One crucial thing that no one seems to mention is that I’m pretty sure in both the newswire posts from before the update came out and Yusif himself in one of the cutscenes says that you have the option of keeping the cars for yourself, but yet that feature is nowhere to be seen. Something like that would actually justify only being able to do these missions one time, but no, we can only sell up for around $340k at the maximum. Thanks R*…

Bro there are more missions coming out and you will be able to buy the cars you steal at a discounted price, also the tow truck missions are good and the safe is a solid passive. And the insensitive is to do other missions or jobs because there are literally thousands of things you can do in online so you don’t get stuck grinding the same thing over and over again. That’s my take at least. They have always been bad at giving all the details on a product but if you can buy the cars you steal for a discount in the future then that more than makes up for the time gate imo. Also I wrote this during the early part of the video so I 100% agree with the end of the video, I think they have more planned.
Main thing I disagree with is payouts, less so the robberies (though they should still definitely be higher), but didn’t we have a whole update adding better payouts to all races? Why do drift races in max lobbies pay out so poorly? Meanwhile I do hope the business gets better, I really like this update.

Decisions like this are why I’m skeptical of GTA 6’s online success. I think Rockstar will drastically change 6’s online in not a good way doing things like this. Sure they’ve been rebalancing things in the last few updates but not all content being released on the release date, drip feeding game changing cars and game modes just isn’t a good formula. Let’s not get started on the hype for RDR2 online for it to only fall flat on its face
Finally someone’s talking about this. Everyone’s praising this update but you literally can’t even make back the money you spent until next week. It’s ridiculous. The auto shop is worth it because you can not only redo the contracts but the contracts will quickly repay you for what you spent on the shop. Same with the agency. This is one of the single worst updates gta online has ever had. They literally just took things from single player, ramped up the prices and sold it to us.
I just bought the salvage yard twice with my 2nd characte and i get 6 roberries a week. I only get about 2 or 3 hours a day to play. So I can steal a car a day and do other activities and these car robberies will last me all week

On the new missions; the police station one was definitely the worst and least interesting. The arena war would have been good if not for how annoying that drone part was. But the mission on the container ship I found really fun. Genuinely enjoyed playing that
I think Rockstar needs to stop with the bullshit cooldown times. Cayo Perico is already worthless to do as a heist and you can make barely more from Cayo than the chop shop business if you run solo now. Not to mention the steep fucking pricing of the chop shop business for 1.9-2.6 million (without any upgrades. With upgrades this can get as high as 5+ million) when you can't even make back a million for completing all three vehicle missions. Nah what this needs is Rockstar to completely strip the cooldown off the chop shop. Rockstar games seems to have forgotten once again that this is a video game.
Everyone's hating on GTA Online because "wah 10 years no game" I hope you're all ready for this to be dialed up to 11 in GTA 6. Soon to enter a new R* title with time gated content, battle passes, an item shop, and any method to nickel and dime people. GTA V was one of the few surviving games from a bygone era, back when games were still games and not seasonal schlops of garbage to pad out the retention rate for investors. Fight back or get used to it now. It's gonna be much worse later. The topic in this video may "not be it" because GTA V players are all used to playing a game with old practices. But it IS it in terms of the 2023 gaming trends, and R* is just copying the trends other devs are making standard.
This type of cooldown with no option to replay the mission would only make sense to me if the heists were easily-bly soloable and had a total payout of 3 - 10m

I did the cargo ship robbery and once i went into the scrap yard to deliver the Weevil, the game glitched and teleported me outside, i wasn't able to use any vehicles cuz i would get kicked out, and as a result of me "not finishing" the mission, i can't even redo the robbery neither i can sell the car. can't do any other robbery missions because of this "glitch", tried talking to rockstar and even they can't fix it, big L.
When the Salvage Autos trailer came out the, _"Chop Shop Missions"_ was _mentioned_ to be weekly. It was a huge reg flag for me. Now, our reoccurring fears of R* pulling more BS moves like this has been reimagined. Remade. And, regurgitated. It's a well deserved rant to be had.
If it was once a day, it would be fine, but once a week is just way too slow. The newest business yet its probably the worst in the game due to how slow it is - also, that computer is definitely running windows 98
Solution: One of these missions resets daily. Wait 3 days? All missions reset. Also, add a daily one resetting bonus, where if you only do one a day, you get extra money.

Such a BS truly. What they should've done is to make mini robberies available every time, but have one "elite" robbery, where you actually can leave the car to yourself or sell it for more. This would've been very fair, think of it as prize ride, but as a mini robbery.
5 is still not enough. A couple hours or a daily rotation, sure, but not a damn week. I get that they’re trying to limit it this much so that people don’t fill out all their garages with mega discounted vehicles, but this ain’t it. They should instead limit the amount of vehicles we’ll be able to turn into PV instead of the missions themselves.
Dog ass update. I did all 3 robberies in 2 hours and I'm not coming back next week to do any others. So idk how this is helping s player retention if it just pushes players like me back away from the game.
Cooldowns should not exist on any missions and only exist for the sole purpose of selling shark cards. They never make sense from a players perspective.
Yusuf did mention in the cut scene that we could chose to keep them so I do have hopes of that being introduced later on along side the new plates they offer that are in the game files

The content and missions is good, indeed using the arena war inside plus being able to get out of your car inside the arena couldn't do that before. hope to see more of that, better missions and content than the last few dlcs so far. just that the time to payout ratio sucks should either payout like 50% more or take about 1/2 as long
I think the reason for only one time each is because once you can keep the car from the robberies you will be able to sell the one you already own. So if you own a Wevil or Neo or Hellfire or whatever. You can keep the one you stole and sell off the one you had already. Same as Podium vehicles or LS meet challenges vehicles. You can sell off the cars you own after winning them.
I do mind the fact that we don't get told what objectives we have to hit to get extra money from the robberies and besides that i am upset that they limit the missions to 3 per week that sucks.
Controversial opinion but this is a genius dlc Getting money slowly so you dont get bored of gta online and you could use that money to save for vehicles, guns and other things.
If the target vehicles and earnings would lower and you could repeat the same missions, then I would feel more inclined to agree but holding them back each week is a bit of a pisstake. Sure, if you do them with the time trials and tow truck missions, that's potentially 1.5 to 2mil a week for passive players, but that's still unfair on active players.
My theory is that R* did this "balance" because they don't want to be like early cayo perico,where players would only grind that business and only that.

Businesses can now be done in invite only, and you have air freight ground missions and sell missions that can be done solo.

If you have a second character, then you can replay them twice per week instead of once per week.

Main thing I disagree with is payouts, less so the robberies (though they should still definitely be higher), but didn’t we have a whole update adding better payouts to all races? Why do drift races in max lobbies pay out so poorly? Meanwhile I do hope the business gets better, I really like this update.

Man. Since the Cayo Perico nerf I got burnt out with Gta. Man I'm glad, forgot how they treated us who played their game. Lvl 600 btw and 200 on another account I haven't since year 2. Hope GTA 6 is better
Decisions like this are why I’m skeptical of GTA 6’s online success. I think Rockstar will drastically change 6’s online in not a good way doing things like this. Sure they’ve been rebalancing things in the last few updates but not all content being released on the release date, drip feeding game changing cars and game modes just isn’t a good formula. Let’s not get started on the hype for RDR2 online for it to only fall flat on its face

Finally someone’s talking about this. Everyone’s praising this update but you literally can’t even make back the money you spent until next week. It’s ridiculous. The auto shop is worth it because you can not only redo the contracts but the contracts will quickly repay you for what you spent on the shop. Same with the agency. This is one of the single worst updates gta online has ever had. They literally just took things from single player, ramped up the prices and sold it to us.
Where you saw this praise to new DLC? Last sentence can describe last year additions

I just bought the salvage yard twice with my 2nd characte and i get 6 roberries a week. I only get about 2 or 3 hours a day to play. So I can steal a car a day and do other activities and these car robberies will last me all week
Nerfing the cooldown is probably the next "BIG" quality of life update in the next DLC knowing Rockstar.

On the new missions; the police station one was definitely the worst and least interesting. The arena war would have been good if not for how annoying that drone part was. But the mission on the container ship I found really fun. Genuinely enjoyed playing that

I think Rockstar needs to stop with the bullshit cooldown times. Cayo Perico is already worthless to do as a heist and you can make barely more from Cayo than the chop shop business if you run solo now. Not to mention the steep fucking pricing of the chop shop business for 1.9-2.6 million (without any upgrades. With upgrades this can get as high as 5+ million) when you can't even make back a million for completing all three vehicle missions.
Nah what this needs is Rockstar to completely strip the cooldown off the chop shop. Rockstar games seems to have forgotten once again that this is a video game.

I hope you're all ready for this to be dialed up to 11 in GTA 6. Soon to enter a new R* title with time gated content, battle passes, an item shop, and any method to nickel and dime people. GTA V was one of the few surviving games from a bygone era, back when games were still games and not seasonal schlops of garbage to pad out the retention rate for investors.
Fight back or get used to it now. It's gonna be much worse later. The topic in this video may "not be it" because GTA V players are all used to playing a game with old practices. But it IS it in terms of the 2023 gaming trends, and R* is just copying the trends other devs are making standard.

This type of cooldown with no option to replay the mission would only make sense to me if the heists were easily-bly soloable and had a total payout of 3 - 10m

I did the cargo ship robbery and once i went into the scrap yard to deliver the Weevil, the game glitched and teleported me outside, i wasn't able to use any vehicles cuz i would get kicked out, and as a result of me "not finishing" the mission, i can't even redo the robbery neither i can sell the car.
can't do any other robbery missions because of this "glitch", tried talking to rockstar and even they can't fix it, big L.
When the Salvage Autos trailer came out the, _"Chop Shop Missions"_ was _mentioned_ to be weekly.
It was a huge reg flag for me.
Now, our reoccurring fears of R* pulling more BS moves like this has been reimagined. Remade. And, regurgitated.

Solution: One of these missions resets daily. Wait 3 days? All missions reset. Also, add a daily one resetting bonus, where if you only do one a day, you get extra money.

Such a BS truly. What they should've done is to make mini robberies available every time, but have one "elite" robbery, where you actually can leave the car to yourself or sell it for more. This would've been very fair, think of it as prize ride, but as a mini robbery.

I get that they’re trying to limit it this much so that people don’t fill out all their garages with mega discounted vehicles, but this ain’t it. They should instead limit the amount of vehicles we’ll be able to turn into PV instead of the missions themselves.

I think a 48 hour cooldown for these missions would make since but waiting a full week to redo these missions is very ridiculous in my opinion.

Cooldowns should not exist on any missions and only exist for the sole purpose of selling shark cards. They never make sense from a players perspective.
And you can't even drive the tow truck outside of missions
Yusuf did mention in the cut scene that we could chose to keep them so I do have hopes of that being introduced later on along side the new plates they offer that are in the game files

The content and missions is good, indeed using the arena war inside plus being able to get out of your car inside the arena couldn't do that before. hope to see more of that, better missions and content than the last few dlcs so far. just that the time to payout ratio sucks should either payout like 50% more or take about 1/2 as long

I think the reason for only one time each is because once you can keep the car from the robberies you will be able to sell the one you already own. So if you own a Wevil or Neo or Hellfire or whatever. You can keep the one you stole and sell off the one you had already. Same as Podium vehicles or LS meet challenges vehicles. You can sell off the cars you own after winning them.

Controversial opinion but this is a genius dlc
Getting money slowly so you dont get bored of gta online and you could use that money to save for vehicles, guns and other things.
If the target vehicles and earnings would lower and you could repeat the same missions, then I would feel more inclined to agree but holding them back each week is a bit of a pisstake. Sure, if you do them with the time trials and tow truck missions, that's potentially 1.5 to 2mil a week for passive players, but that's still unfair on active players.
As if making the whole business and the heists unprofitable wasn't enough...

weekly is crap, making the payout higher to at least 700K would make sense tbh!
My theory is that R* did this "balance" because they don't want to be like early cayo perico,where players would only grind that business and only that.
At the current payouts even if they were replayable it wouldn’t be the best money method I don’t think
This is why I haven't bought the Chop Shop yet. I will probably wait for it to be on sale.
