Seeing the ODSTs in full HD in that trailer, with their amazing armor, really makes me want another ODST game(just not from 343I). It reminded me a lot of that live action short that they filmed back when Halo 3 released.
My favorite part about this is that they actually show why they're 'barely operational'. That and they show the Unggoy being cowards before, during, and after the battle.
This was one of the selling points for the Multiplayer Map Pack release. It's a bit more difficult to get away with incentives like this in the age of social media.
This short was included on Halo 2's Map pack as a bonus. Apparantly the devs made this as a training exercise to give their animation and cinematic teams some more experiance while they weren't actively developing more singleplayer content.
Well grunts are actually really smart with them learning english as time went on with other covenant species having the occasional member also learning it. The reason why we can understand their languages better as Chief is because Cortana is auto translating the language after using some of their computers in CE but she took time to learn it.
I'm not sure if anyone noticed this but the ODST who was held hostage by the Elite had his armor warped and partially melted by the Plasma Pistol shot.
Comparing the old one to the new one the old one has does slight details added that the new one doesnt like the Jackal falling the whole way down and the grenade exloding giving the grunts more of a reason to be afraid.
This version and the Blur version are equal to me, but honestly, I sure hope they also put this into the H2A Extras alongside the latter. Also, does anyone hear a bit of Captain Jacob Keyes in Marcus Stacker's (the non-ODST Marine who was there from Combat Evolved to even H4) voice?

The Magnum is actually that size in the game though. M6 Magnum is around 27cm in height. The caliber is 12.7x40mm (.500 Magnum), which generates muzzle energy 2x more powerful than a Desert eagle irl.
