What I've always liked about the Juri duels is that they go out of their way to show how far out of her depth Utena actually is. Even as she does improve a bit as the duels go on, she's still no better against Juri by the rematch. In fact, the rematch almost becomes a textbox example of giving dangerous weapons to the inexperienced.
In a duel without miracles and without the Rose Bride, Utena would always lose to Juri. She’s the best duelist on the Student Council. One of my favorite characters and so tragically powerful.

I can say that this is one of the BEST internal fights (if not the BEST ... I don't remember other better than this) of the emotions of a character for wanting to fight against destiny, it is a marvelous plot and script... which unfortunately is no longer found in anime these days, and all without saying nothing, just quick images of the inner thoughts and internal conflict.... simple, powerful, beautiful...

Utena's "magic" was only seen ONCE during this time, in the 2nd duel with Saijonji, with Miki isn't shown directly so STOP LYING, you didn't think that and stop using emojis, looks weird. BYEEE

I always thought it was Anthy who used the sword against her to prove her that miracles exists- her magic and the prince are miracles themselves and she's dueling for a miracle to erase miracles? Doubt Jury was going to win this one.

... not... trying to take away from the epic battle and the feel of the scene, but... are we not gonna talk about how the rose fell AFTER the Sword of Dios embedded itself into the floor, yet seconds later the rose is laying pierced by the blade?
Being that a rose is easy to stab through, and the blade is heavier than the rose, the sword would fall to the ground faster, the rose would catch the drag from the wind and, with less friction on the blade, be pushed to the very top of the blade near the hilt. This would track since we don't see the hilt until after the rose falls down the rest of the blade, after it's stopped moving.

Cockiness is their fault... Skill is one thing but without awareness of their surroundings. They could have dispatched her multiple times over.
