- What's up Guys .I know that I an a few days late with this movie. Hopefully you in attendance to my live stream to see why. This movie was Sooo damn fun to watch. I really enjoyed this Captain America, it was wayy better than the first one. You will see in my reaction how much I enjoyed this movie.

The earliest movies were pretty risky, especially after the first two Hulk movies. Marvel had also sold off the rights to all their best known characters and had to take a loan gambling everything to get Iron Man made. Then they had to make back to back successful comic book movies of different characters to get to Avengers for a team up. None of that had ever been done before. After Avengers made all the money they were able to take bigger risks and most of them have paid off.
Worse for the early movies, the final say was Ike Perlmutter. He saw the MCU as a way to sell toys and had a pretty limited idea about what toys would sell. His last big move was having Iron Man 3 rewritten because in the original script the main villain was Maya Hansen and he thought Aldrich Killian toys would sell better. Didn't care about making a good movie, just cared about maximizing toy sales.
Glad I caught this a minute after you released it. This movie is just too darn good; still to this day one of (if not) the best movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

This movie still holds up as one of the best MCU films to date. Fun Fact: The passage on Nick Fury's headstone at the end "Path of the Rightous Man - Ezekial 25;17" is a throwback to Sam Jackson's character in Pulp Fiction, who recites the same passage.
Never mind that the real verse is only a fraction of what he "quoted."

Cap’s fighting and skills in this movie build him up as an elite Avenger who can take on anyone. Literally. His speed is legit!
Especially this version of the character, in the comics he is peak human and in the MCU the mf is superhuman, all his physical abilities are upgraded. In the MCU he is faster, WAY stronger & more durable. He was amazing in the comics but here they upgraded him even more and Chris Evan performance was amazing. I remember when he got casted and people were talking trash and saying that he couldn’t pull it off. He did it just like Hugh Jackman, Heath Ledger, Joaquin Phoenix and soon Robert Pattinson, they all proved every hater wrong.
@@reynaldolorenzo8409 IDK. All they really did in the MCU was make him _officially_ superhuman like Ultimate Cap... instead of ranking him peak of human potential like 616.
Still think classic (616) Cap has better feats; running 60mph, healing a point blank gun shot to the head in 12 minutes, seeing bullets move, etc. - the MCU feats are just more consistent, and he probably has better raw strength (like Ultimate Cap)....But 616 also fought Thor, lifted a fall out shelter after taking a grenade to the face, cut a tank in half, so on. 🤷♂️
Overall I feel like either of those comic versions would actually body his MCU depiction, but I can say that about every character. You get away with a lot more when it’s not live action.
I think Caps fighting is so effective during this movie and onward, because he’s been training with Natasha. She would have been teaching and sparing with him if they were partnered up.

In my opinion still one of the best MCU movies out there, so freaking awesome, love the government conspiracy elements. It was here that the MCU officially started getting overall darker. Been looking forward to your reaction to this. Sad these aren't getting the views. Just keep trucking forward, soldier! Still waiting for Lord of War starring Nicholas Cage, from 2005, one of his absolute best, a really good movie. Keep bringing the heat Mr G!

Same! This was my favorite MCU movie, until Ragnarok came out. It's just such a fun movie. But as far as serious marvel movies, this is top tier.
So the Bucky thing. When he was captured back in the first movie he was given a hydra serum, a knock off of Steve’s. Similar but just a few degrees short of the perfected version. At that point he was a super soldier. Heightened reflexes, heightened senses, healing factor. Since he survived the infusion Hydra went to the next step which was erasing his mind. That’s why when Steve found him, he had a bit of trouble, only saying his name and serial number and not recognizing Steve for a second. When he fell, he’d lost part of his arm. Then he was found and taken to Hydra where they gave him the metal arm. (my theory is they tried different metal arms and kept cutting off more and more flesh with every failure.) In this movie Natasha said the Winter Soldier had been active for fifty years. It’s been seventy years since he fell. Which means he’s possibly been fighting back, resisting them then being “conditioned” (tortured) for those first twenty years.
Now the erasing of memories with the chair has to do with his serum. He’s got accelerated healing like Steve. Which means the damage they do with however many joules of electricity they shoot into his brain gradually starts to heal itself causing him to remember. Which is why they constantly erase him. At least that’s my thinking.
Keep the MCU movies coming in here. I’ll watch them ASAP and so do a lot of other people. Skipping them in here will only confuse things. But you do you and see how things go.

This is one of the greatest MCU movies, the cap trilogy is definitely the best. Hope you decide to keep uploading the MCU reactions to TH-cam, I've really been enjoying your reactions. They are the reason I found your channel and subscribed.
Just an observation regarding these MCU reactions: A lot of the earlier films are lower tier movies. To me, this movie really turned a corner for the MCU and set a new standard that even to this day may or may not have been reached with newer films. However, to me, that means that the best of the MCU has really just begun and people are going to be more interested to see your reactions. Also, as you get closer to being caught up with the new shows and movies that are coming out, people will tune in more because it's still fresh in our minds. For example, after every episode of Wandavision, I would watch a lot of my favorite TH-camrs reactions to the latest episode. However, I'm less likely to watch those now because they aren't fresh on my mind anymore. I hope that makes sense and encourages you to continue putting these on TH-cam. I truly, truly, truly appreciate you brother.

The one true movie that's show who Captain America and what he stands for.
Captain America is such a cool character and brilliantly played by Chris Evans! I love the different twists and turns he goes through in the mcu, him being a guy who was all about following orders to eventually being the guy who decided that following orders isn't always a good thing and then being a fugitive on the run from the government, great character and great reaction Devin!
This is definitely one of the top tier Marvel movies and your bad ass reactions make it even better. Please just keep plugging away cuz we all LOVE em. Keep em coming big dawg

This movie is where Cap really shines. I remember thinking he was outshined by the other Avengers in the first Avengers. And since he is technically the leader of the Avengers, he needed this movie to revamp his character and really show how badass he really is. Been a Cap fan ever since they released this movie.
After finishing up some work, this video is one amazing treat. And an MCU reaction? Even better!

Winter Soldier is my favorite MCU movie, with the elevator fight scene being my favorite part.
That elevator scene is bad-ass. "It kinda feels personal."
This remains my favorite MCU movie. From taking a real thing, 'Operation Paperclip', and using that as the backstory for how Hydra infiltrated everything, to completely changing Cap's character going forward.
Plus, we got to see Captain America vs Captain Canada.
We are getting deep now, it is a wild and amazing ride from here on out for the rest of the movies! Cant wait to see your reaction to it all.
Here's a pretty crazy fun fact about the Winter Soldier's theme in the soundtrack. The creepy high-pitched noise that plays during his appearances in those brief moments is actually Bucky's screams from the first movie when he falls off the train when Steve failed to save him.
They took Sebastian Stan's screams, retuned and modified them to give the Winter Soldier his theme song.
Loved this movie in cinema, went 3 times. Loving your MCU journey aswell
The first Captain America was Steve utilizing the shield for more defensive purposes. Here we really get to see him showcase more offensive combat. And I also love that as a man out of time, he took the time to try and learn what he missed over the decades and also trained and studied a lot of martial arts forms to become a modern fighter.
Winter Soldier! Finally!! Been waiting for this one! So much fun watching these with you!
BTW the guy that fights Cap on the ship is a former UFC fighter who is considered as 1 of the GOAT'S

Also the recent low watch numbers were probably to blame on The Dark World being arguably the least popular movie in the franchise (and Iron Man 3 being divisive). I bet a lot of people who aren’t fans of those two kinda tuned out after his Avengers reaction until he got to Winter Soldier.
There’s just some Marvel movies people are inevitably going to be more or less interested in reactions to. It’s less a reflection of Devin than where he is in the franchise.
Like I imagine, if he continues with MCU on TH-cam, among near future ones, Age of Ultron & Ant Man will do worse than Guardians Vol 1 or Cap: Civil War.
I really enjoy the entire MCU filmography but if I have to stack rank them this film sits firmly as my favorite. Besides just being a fantastic MCU film, this movie sets up so much of what is to come in the rest of the franchise. And Sam Wilson is one of my favorites. A fantastic introduction to one of Marvel's best. So much more to come from what begins here.

Captain America embodies what morality is better than anyone in the MCU franchise and why I love his character. No one ever could replace Chris Evans as Steve Rogers. He plays him perfectly. 'I am with you to the end of the line'. Best part of that movie imo.

This IMO is the 2nd best MCU film. 'Infinity War' takes the number one spot.

Easily my most rewatched MCU film and the one with the style closest to my favorite genre. I loved it and still do to this day. Fire film that should be in everyone's top 3-4 MCU films of all time along with Civil War for sure. Fire reaction Devin keep up the grind.

The US recruiting German scientists in the aftermath of the war was a real thing. Black Widow even references the real “Operation Paperclip” tittle.
Even if someone's not into the MCU, Captain America WS is still just a great action movie.
