For all their differences and the pissing match they nearly had, Stark ceded battlefield command to Cap *real* quick. Because Tony recognized Cap's skill as a tactician. Cap knows how to take what he has, and use each piece to its best effect. Notice how quick he determined and handed out assignments? It's why Cap's the Avengers field commander.

That's very true and for someone with Tony's ego, that says alot about him and growth as a character. The fact is for all of Tony's brilliance, Tony recognized he doesn't have military experience and this was a war in NY so a actual military commder in chief was needed.

6:56 When this movie premiered, everyone flinched at this scene. The audio was absolutely perfect. You literally don't expect a nice quiet personality like Bruce (to keep Hulk in check) to just suddenly exert an aggressive move like that.

Just another fun fact: The waitress that gets saved by Steve and then reports it on the news that Captain America saved her life is actress Ashley Johnson. She's been in a few films, but what most fans recognize her the most for is her voice acting as Ellie from The Last of Us games. ;)
There's also a deleted scene where Steve eats at the cafe she works at, sketches the Stark tower and has a brief conversation with her. So when she is successfully saved and sees Steve unmasked during the Battle of New York, that's how she recognized him. Stan Lee also had a cameo in that deleted scene too but they decided to put Stan's cameo during the news montage near the end when they made it a deleted scene.

Based on your interest on government-superhero relations, you’re going to love some of the places this series goes, especially with Cap’s character.
And like some others have said, the next Cap movie (Winter Soldier, which I think is 3 movies away in the MCU order, after Iron Man 3 & Thor 2) is your 10/10. That might be my (and a lot of fans’) favorite in the whole series.

11:51 Since you have watched Band of Brothers Devin, it was definitely written in the story of this movie that the old man who stood up to Loki was a Holocaust survivor. He literally stood up to the God of Mischief and stated he would never be subjugated again by a higher power. He already had to survive that lifestyle in order to get to where he is now. Huge respect to that man and the character he played.

So if you're wondering where the heck Tony got the idea about trying "Shawarma," go back to the scene when Iron Man does the Tale of Jonah maneuver.
After he blows it up from the inside and kinda crash lands, you can see the Shawarma food joint just behind Tony when he gets up and the Chitauri close in again to fight him. That's what he brings up after Hulk roars him awake. XD
And, the post credits of them eating Shawarma silently was not in the original theater cut. It was filmed later and then added into the movie when it released on DVD/bluray. They had to ask the cast to come back to film that scene. Here's how you can tell, Chris Evans has his hand covering his mouth, as Cap is leaning over looking exhausted. In fact, Chris had already started growing a beard for another movie he was casted in. So instead of rendering it in post-production with CGI, he just leaned over and used his hand to cover it from the camera. ;)

Each MCU movie gets better as they go...and the threads of the stories are intertwined and questions are answered in each one.
*Black Widow might be favorite. She's smart and can kill you with a weapon OR her bare hands. Plus, she doesnt have like "super-abilities"(IIRC). But she has been training since she was a child to be an assassin.
And, she's easy on the eyes, as they say.

11:50 ... to realize an old Jewish man, in Germany, not giving in to another dictator.... it's the most humbling line in the movie

    13:44 So here's a fun fact Devin.
If you look carefully or pause when Tony gets struck by lightning, Jarvis reports the power capacity at over 400%. When in fact, the actual power level was jumped to an overcapacity of 475% as displayed and if you look at it backwards in Tony's HUD. Now go to the scene when Tony used the Iron Man suit to jumpstart the propeller on the helicarrier to stop it from falling. His power levels in his HUD now reads 312% capacity.
Which means that when Thor charged his suit, Tony exerted at least 163% of his power to fight Thor. But his suit remained charged and was able to handle that much power until it was ready to be used again. Just goes to show how tanky the Iron Man suits are. ;)

28:18 Please react to the blooper reels of these movies. The outtakes make for some very entertaining moments behind the scenes. Tom Hiddleston having to moan in pain but making himself laugh in the outtakes is one of the funniest things ever.

I get the feeling that Avengers: Infinity War / Endgame will be your 10's. But it's really hard to say. the MCU is very well done and they're still doing great. I am going to be forever excited to see your future reactions to further Avengers Content.
Also, as a little extra fun. for every movie you see Tony in, you should listen to his quips / one-liners / and nicknames. They're awesome. I think Tony called Thor "Point Break" in this movie. Also called Loki "Reindeer Games" after he slammed into him in Germany.

Great reaction video, Devin! This is pretty great going through all the MCU movies again, you are bringing back all that nostalgia from when I first saw these movies. It's great seeing all the Avengers come together in this movie, and know that it works with all these big personalities. Keep up the great content dude!

All the Avengers in this movie were introduced before this film... Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, and Captain America in their own films. Black Widow showed up in Iron Man 2. Hawkeye showed up in Thor.

I would say Winter Soldier is also a 9 for me, along with Iron Man, The Avengers, Civil War, and Ragnarok. 10s I'd give to Infinity War and Endgame.

15:08 Robert Downey Jr is seen eating in this scene. It was not scripted. XD
The actors were told that they weren't allowed to have snacks or food on set because during eating scenes, to keep things continuous during filming, they are told to spit out the food instead of actually eating it. This is a movie filming process I think.
But RDJ hid snacks everywhere on set and no one could stop him from doing so. So Tony eating in this scene was just kept in because RDJ kept bringing snacks to munch on. XD

Something cool to point out, is that Thor's hammer Mjolnir, isnt "heavy". Its just enchanted so only those who are worthy may wield it :) If Black Widow was worthy she could wield it for example
