Easily one of the best guitar compositions to come out of the 80s, maybe even all time. Each individual section could be a song on its own. Every part brings it 10/10, the bridge especially. Imagine being so creative that you can expend this much of it on one song.
Superb guitar work! I've never realized the complexity of it as a whole. Jake E. Lee was touched by the gods when he coined this one. A true classic among classics.
He must have been. I actually had the same thoughts and the more I listen to the track, the more I think that must have been the case. It's just too good! Amazing. 🎸
That little quick part at 2:17 is one of the smoothest runs over that type of lick I have ever heard. Is fast, but precise and groovy as hell. Awesome solo, awesome execution.
It would be nice to hear somebody play this plugged straight into an amp without any backing track or other enhancement. I would be intrigued to hear how it really would sound.
When I was a kid, and this album came out, a friend invited me over to listen to it. That moment, and this album, this Song, changed my lifes path forever. Jake E Lee deserved much better recognition over the years, he was his own type of shedder, with feeling and tone beyond most of the other players at the time. Thanks for the play thru, really brought back some great memories.
People were comparing him to randy which I thought was unfair as hell. Jake wasnt randy but he could still play his ass off with really good riffs and his soloing was incredible.
No kidding, im so sick of the bullshit "hit the like button and subscribe" crap . This guy just does his thing and downs a redbull and goes on to making the next video.
Jake e Lee is damn good. Funny thing tho Ozzy gets these guitarist and they seem to write or come up with their best stuff while with him. Randy Rhoads was with quiet riot for years before joining ozzy and had nothing major, joins Ozzy and has 2 classic albums full of great stuff and classic songs
@@anthonyashley26 some one has to write the guitar parts and doubt it's the drummer, singer or bassist who don't play. Just odd, same with Jake e Lee. He was really good with Ozzy jad some really cool stuff, left Ozzy and not much
100% - So few 'Play-along with tabs' channels out there - These types of videos have helped me with sooooo many songs! Dont know about you, but I play for fun on my basement - Not real ambitions for anything beyond that - So being able to watch someone play a tab and see/hear them do it has helped so much!
When I was 13 I'd been playing guitar for only about 6 months, and it took a further year for me master this song's rhythm part and be able play it start to finish. This song literally built my chops.
Good you play it exactly like Jake E Lee does. The chords stabs in the intro are perfect AND you hold the F# during the verse like he does! This here is THE best cover/tutorial of Bark at the Moon short of Jake E Lee himself doing a playthrough and with screen tabs
This is gonna be sick. I love Ozzy but can never figure out how to play his songs...that is until now. These videos provide entertainment, knowledge, and also just plain fun. Thanks for these lessons and keep up the work \m/
Now this is a true tutorial. I’ve been looking to get better at guitar and wanted to tackle a song that is way beyond my ability and was one of my favorite Ozzy songs. Jake E Lee never got the recognition he deserved. I have a long road but I will learn to play this song and this video will get me there. Great video!
I played this song in a cover band after years of not playing and oh boy was i fatigued at the end. Next three tunes were little to no soloing. Love Jake.
this is one of the songs that most guitarist that know how to play, rip on the other guitarists that "teach you the wrong way"... this is the right way to play it.... careful, there are some out there that are teaching you wrong..... "but it sounds like it"........ not this case, great job!!
THIS is the song that hooked me on to heavy metal when I was 13! It's only right that since I left the bass and took up guitar recently, I finally get around to learning it
Big props to you man! After revealing the Silver Play Button you make a video and upload it after unlike the other TH-camr after receiving the button they stop uploading for atleast 1 week. You're the best man! 150K subscribers let's go!!!
Jake E Lee is one of my top 5 favorite guitarists. This song Is absolutely amazing. There are parts of the 1st solo that remind me of Buck Darma. The riffing and Solos rock from start to finish.
Jake's playing is very crazy with his finger movements and touch on the frets. It's a style that only he can do. That playing style transforms into a very artistic guitar performance. He is an amazing super guitarist in his own right
STUNNING job on one of the best metal solos of all time. The whole using the guitar and dressing like the artist - genius! You make this fun and take away the intimidation factor of something that's over the head of the viewer to start with. The no BS, no goofy intro all the typical Youtoob garbage - THANK YOU!
Yeah that’s excellent. He also included a couple other tab adjustments that Jake himself pointed out on videos - 1. Bar 13 inversions when Ozzy is singing are different than the ones in the intro, and 2. Jake doesn’t string skip during the outro lead figures, just a monster stretch. I learned this song from Japanese tab years ago, and it’s cool that Jake has corrected a few things. Way to bring us the freshest versions, Guitar Tabs! ⚡️🤘⚡️
I nominate this song as one of those songs that doesn't sound too difficult (except for the solo and outro), yet actually is A B**CH to play. This song is legit trickier than many "shred" songs (most shred just boils down to metronome playing and muscle memory). Jake E. Lee is something else, man. Also, you nailed all of it, INCLUDING those stretches. Admit it, you're Jake, hence why all your videos showcase godlike guitar playing :P. Just kidding, haha. Best channel ever!
This song is like the 'final boss' level for a guitarist, lol. This is my fav 'Ozzy' song for sure. If you can get through this that is probably about 5 years worth of guitar lessons in one song. Still crushes to this day! Excellent performance Sir! @@Mr.Tabs.Guitar.Lessons
Jake's white "Charvel" was really a Fender Strat. His roommate worked for Charvel, and he offered to paint it for him. When Jake got it back there was also a Charvel sticker on the headstock, but it is still a Strat, so no tone missing.
DAMN SON! As good as I have ever seen on this here interwebsite thing lol. You are legit. Jake would be quite impressed. Both solos can not be done better.
I've been just improvising this solo for the longest time, but now that this video exists, I'm going to learn it the way it should be. Stellar work man, thanks!
You can literally build up your chops from learning this one song alone in its entirety. No whammy bar either from Jake. It's a lot harder to play than it looks. Good job.
I'm 5 years into playing, 2 years ago I learned this song front to back (it took me 4-5 months) and I am constantly playing parts from the riffs, solo, and other random fills and incorporating them into my practice routines. I 100% agree this is one of the best songs to learn all around technique!
I remember spending hour upon hour next to my album player going over and over this song trying to figure out how to play it. Back then there were no tabs or books or videos to show how to play it. I was 13 and had been playing for four years. Needless to say it was way above my skill level but I could fake it half ass decent. And it still rocks to this day. Oh and my playing eventually improved lol
Wow! Very nice bro. I've seen alot of guitarist play this song but usually never come close to the way Jake plays it but you totally nailed it. There's even some little parts in there that I've been playing incorrectly all these years. So now I'm going to re-learn them. So thank you for a great translation. 🤘🤘🤘🤘
