@@rs.p for sure. One question I do have, is do you apply a wash on aircraft at all? And if so how do you like to do it? For me washes on armour are considered part of the oil process because I use oil washes, but they weren’t mentioned in the video so I’m not sure how they’d fit into the whole weathering process for aircraft.
Yes, and you're confusing a general wash with what is a effectively called a pinwash-- the precise application of the wash in the panel lines. You're trained to think it has to flow throughout via capillary action...that's just one variation. Watch how I apply my washes with control and precision.
It's not that I don't use them, the opposite, I use them constantly (they're one of the most powerful tools we have)--however, I use them wholly differently and via specific purpose and layers throughout.
