Do you want change from all whites cause I'm not predjudas at all and all the civil war statues comming down I don't understand it I lost two great great unclesin civil war they northern yanks but never have I heard a black mention how whites died for there freedom never once they blame everything on whites blacks are predjudas people themselves
@@mikegreenawalt4726 you just said you’re not prejudiced and then called that guy prejudiced with no evidence… I think you might not understand what prejudice is. The reason a lot of people want stautues taken down is because it’s like the equivalent of statues honoring nazis in Germany (which don’t exist because most Germans know that’s a dumb thing to do when it comes to commemorating a war and lives lost, you don’t commemorate the side that lost/the people calling for less human rights for all). I get why some people want to keep them. Fine, put them in a museum and put context with them and their dubious history. What’s more, most civil war era statues were NOT built immediately following the war but built during the Jim Crow era (much later) to reinforce racist ideals and try to quell the push for more human rights for all. Also Robert E. Lee (arguably one of the more commonly known confederate names) was very against erecting memorials. In a 1866 letter, Lee wrote, "As regards the erection of such a monument as is contemplated, my conviction is, that however grateful it would be to the feelings of the South, the attempt ... would have the effect of ... continuing, if not adding to, the difficulties under which the Southern people labour." And also "I think it wiser not to keep open the sores of war but to follow the examples of those nations who endeavored to obliterate the marks of civil strife, to commit to oblivion the feelings engendered," he wrote in a letter declining an invitation to discuss a memorial being erected. I hope this small novel I’ve written sheds light onto your inquiry about statues. As for the greater issue of “who is more prejudiced” I think you might be looking at this from a competitive standpoint instead of a healing standpoint and listening to those who say they’ve endured decades and centuries of inequality and being treated as sub human (not those who are upset they’re not getting as much of the “pie” they usually do the last decade or so) and ask what we can do to help heal pain and trauma endured for so long and come together to help one another and lift one another up. It’s not about who’s suffered more (that’s honestly not even a question, it’s obvious) it’s about not letting anyone suffer injustices anymore, to the best of our abilities as a society. Now I’ll take my soapbox with me and be on my way, good day.
@@yllom9667 I didn't word it right not all blacks did I mean and in Germany they still have ovens that they cremated jews in the give tours so people don't forget we should never forget civil war and that we had slaves and one time we fought to end it so it never happens again what about my relatives who did in civil war I'm tired hearing blacks going on all the time

I remember watching the whole Elmo vs. Rocco thing on Sesame Street with my kid; this was brilliantly performed! Elmo really acted that way on Sesame Street back then!

@@Airahar not from me, it's not. Melissa was never a cast member, as far as I know. She's one of my favorite guests, but sometimes you go a long while in SNL casts between members with many impressions in their bag. Chloe seems to be in the same tier as Phil Hartman, she's got well over a half dozen I think I've seen so far. McCarthy is a recurring guest (and legend in her own right).
@@cynsini9211 You’re talking about Melissa McCarthy, but I’m assuming that they meant Melissa Villaseñor, who is a spot-on impressionist. I don't think anyone in recent history has gotten so many different voices down so perfectly. For instance, her Kristen Wiig is eerily accurate. Impressions are her main talent, and she's pretty hard to beat. I think Chloé has may have more original characters that are memorable though.
@@TryMyMartini I do love Melissa Villasenor, and she's criminally underused. I'd be happy to see her in at least some capacity in every single sketch.

TH-cam to the rescue! I fast forwarded through each sketch of this SNL episode until halfway through I gave up any promise of even a snort of laughter & searched for the weekend skit on here. As usual they did not disappoint 🤗

thats incorrect. he burys the homeless in his smoke house BEFORE he grounds them into sausage. he then sells the meat to local orphanages so they get food poisoning
