    This is my normal feedback
    I just feel that I have to say 'Thousands of thanks' to you.
    I took the nozzle end of my injectors apart (all six). Cleaned them in
    an ultrasound bath that we have at my work.
    Then I assembled the injectors with help of your torque data.
    Put the injectors back in place.
    And it STARTED!!!
    Again 'BIG THANKS' for taking your time to, help up a little Swedish
    and very worried home-mechanic, and making him happy and easy going
    again.
    Thomas,

    How incredibly complex. Now I know why they are so expensive. Very complicated. Well done.!!

    Very informative. We don't have very many common rail systems on the road here in the USA, aside from large trucks, but they are coming.

    Thanks for your efforts here. Please ignore comments by those who want to stand on the sidelines with their hands on their hips making innane comments about torque wrenches!

    This injector look's almoust the same as the one in my 2.4 JTD 100KW. Now that you told so nicely about those calibrators... Don't think i'll disasamble it and clean it by my self.

    Thanks for the reply, the wrench I’m using is digital, so it doesn’t make a click when you achieve the desired torque and it will recorded the torque when assemble dismantling, we use this data.
    We have a company that test and calibrate all my dti gauges and wrenches every 6 months and that torque wrench passed this February after over 4 years of use.
    After all that I will take on your advice and I should use a breaker bar when I don’t need the data, regards Martin.

    Non of those shims adjust injection timing, that is all done via the ecu. The shims regulate the internal operating pressures of the injector and the pressure at which it will actually inject.

    where would i get tiny ball bearing for the valve seat? i think i lost it all ive got is a tiny cylinder with a hole in 1 end im told it sits on top of atiny ball bearing.
    had to take the injector apart to remove it with a slide hammer :( its for a volvo 2.4D Bosch 30750283 BX-CRI2

    Great Video. Shame about the tiny amount of knobheads that make ill informed comments that only make them look silly to knowledgeable people. I also use a two way torque wrench for a few jobs.

    Do I have to supply 100V to the power jack of injector when removing and testing the common rail injector? Can't 12V?

    Can l change the coil of the injector? because l have a problem after
    replacing ml 270 cdi year 2000 injectors the original was 0445110035 and
    the new ones 0445110201, but the ECU not recognize them. So would it be
    a good idea to exchange just the electronic part of the injectors in
    order to make it work?

    Hi. Thank you very much! I'm surprised your working!! I'm wondering how I remove faltering BOSCH injector(leaking fuel or wetting from injector body own itself) from engine or I should not do it by D.I.Y.. If I could remove injector,may I have to repair my injector?
    I'm very happy if I can receive your reply. Thank you.

    Martin I wondered if you could share your process for Nozzle replacement only? My Navara is suffering from noisy injectors which I want to cure without replacing all 4 if I can.

    @racademy Thousands of hits to this video and it has been watched by lots of diesel specialists over 2 years and this is the first negative comment I have had. This video was about strip & rebuild and not a full re-con witch need new parts like a nozzle fitting and calibrating like the air gap. I would like to know the reason for your comment ?

    • @jahasmitasmitas3338

      Bullshit that makes people believe they cant rebuild injectors and makes them buy new expensive ones.

  • @snapdragogon69
    @snapdragogon69 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Incorrect. They are also used for undoing certain fastenings or removing theaded parts to ensure that the failure moment of the assembly is not exceeded. An example is when removing ceramic glow plugs.

    Most torque wrenches work both ways, but the clues in the name 'torque wrench' they're meant for tightening things to a specific torque, and nothing else. At one point in the video when he's loosening something you can hear click, and he carries on forcing it to undo the nut, just that one thing alone would've put it way out of cal making it pretty much useless. If you wanna undo something tight use a breaker bar....

  • @littleport2003
    @littleport2003 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    He un-did stuff with a torque wrench, just about the best way to fuck up an expensive tool. I'm with @racademy wouldn't let that guy near any of my stuff!

  • @petermartin7154
    @petermartin7154 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    in response to Matt Hallam ,how the hell does passing the click destroy a torque wrench?Does every time it clicks wreck it?I've used torque wrenches in this manner for over 30 years and never had one go far out of spec after years of use.The only thing that happens after the click is that the head hits the side if the tube.Go get your facts right and stop slagging a decent bloke trying to help people.
