Go behind the scenes of last year's summer blockbuster movie, Grand Turismo. Hear from director Neill Blomkamp as he takes us through his inspirations, filmmaking process and his passion for the iconic Nissan GT-R.
The GT Academy was a program Nissan ran with Sony between 2008 and 2016 with participants all around the world, including wide online participation. The academy aimed to increase interest in and accessibility to motorsports, to discover the hidden talent of virtual racers, and to provide an opportunity for them to put their abilities on the tarmac. The GT Academy produced 22 winners who graduated from gamers to racers.

The day I started playing real racing 3 and falling in love with this car and till date no car has come close to this car the feel, the design.i made no mistake I chose this car over everything and Nissan never disappointed with there decision and still love this car and the VR38DETT engine just sad that this car will soon be discontinued in 2026 and we won't be seeing any more new R35s still dreaming that I will be owning this one day the Nismo edition of the car in Olive colour.
Just sad that it lacks an H-pattern manual for non-track drivers.

Why was there no real footage of the prototype crash in the movie? Without it, it almost felt like the coach was just lying to Jann.
Search on youtube ' Jann Nissan GTR race crash ' you'll find the actual crash scene of his real actual crash at Nurburg.

The persistence of Nissan's lackluster efforts in developing a better car for 16 years remains unchanged. While the GT-R was impressive in its time, it's reminiscent of the PS3 era, reflecting a stagnant progression. The underwhelming sales performance of the GT-R serves as a testament to the disappointment felt by car enthusiasts. Nissan is just out of tricks to push sales and releasing this behind the scenes after the movie has been out for a year lol.

The fact that the "realistic" movie uses the wrong LeMans layout because it was recorded on Hungaro Ring and then names the Hungaro Ring as Slovakia Ring in the BTS while being partnered with Nissan who should have checked the whole thing because they actually drive at LeMans... I don't get the movies hype. The Nürburgring crash was incorrectly timed and used for a story that in reality happened before that crash... Yes, it's probably a great movie if you're a fan of F&F or so - but it's a punch in the face of everyone actually caring about motorsports in real life.
Please study about race car before you make a movie about it...gt3 racing against gt4??

Nissans are terrible for corrosion, Nissan don't honour the 12 year anti corrosion warranty that comes with the car. My Nissan Gtr has 35k miles on it and it's covered in corrosion. It needs a full respray. The customer service is terrible. The worst I've ever experienced. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
