Yea, '85 here as well. And now finding out Sega is going to release a NEW Streets of Rage! I enjoyed SoR 4 (even though it was done externally). So I hope Sega does right by the new SoR ^^
@panicman10-js1oi yea, I understand that the team at Sega are not the same people. But neither were the ones for SoR 4, and I feel it was pretty true to the classics (of course, there were some new things). But that is also why I said I "hope" Sega does right by SoR. :) I'm glad you enjoy the game as much as us!
Not only is this freaking hilarious on so many levels, but I can't even begin to imagine the amount of time, organization, planning, location scouting, choreography, costume design, editing and post-editing work that must have gone into this. I am flabbergasted how critical some people are being. Also willing to bet this film had a higher budget then the game itself :p Amazing work!
I am 37 years old I played this game with my friends and siblings in early 90s and for the past 2 years I have been playing SOR1&2 with my 5 year old on my Sega Mega Drive 2 and he loves just like I did then. Even my grand kids would still play it.
Wow, I am impressed. I stumbled into this by accident. And boy did I enjoy every bit of it. But this was 10yrs ago. Where are these creators? Come back guys.
The clever subtle jokes that only someone who had played SoR would know... Trying to attack but picking and re-picking up weapons instead, the whip lady who just crouches and won't stand up... extremely well done :)
A lot of efforts were put into the production of this movie. This is super cool, only the hardcore fans would do this. I really appreciate this movie, at some point I was almost gonna cry. This bring back so much old memory. Again, thank you so much for this master piece.
@Natty Bumppo Streets of Rage 3 is better than people give it credit for, the only reason people hate on it so much is it wasn't as big a leap in quality as SOR2 was over SOR and because it was a lot harder than the previous games, but it is actually a pretty decent game, (the Japanese version is better than the western version though).
@Natty Bumppo It's not even a debate? Because you said so? You're an Xbox gamer anyway, so you already eliminated yourself from the conversation being that you're an idiot.
This is absolutely brilliant! So many little details and well thought out shots, it's really impressive. Why has it taken me nearly a decade to find such a masterpiece?!
Let's see what's going to I hear they are going to do Saitama I hope thos time they go a good job on Japanese anime and this open the way for a properly Street Fighter movie, Street of Rage, and others the only good movies from japan anime or games as I far as I Know are Alita Batle Angel, Ghost in The Shell and Resident Evil.
You did an amazing job. This is the perfect amount of cheese and hilarity, but the film was still faithful and full of detail. You hit it just right, and you should be proud of yourselves for it all. I would love to see more video game re-enactments like this.
Truly epic. 10 out of 10 people, this is amazing. Can't imagine the hours that went into filming and editing this just for the love of a game and soundtrack. How this hasn't even got a million views as of late '24 I just don't understand
Totally awesome! LOL I love the attention to detail.. killing yourself to swap characters, trying to punch while standing on top of an item, and the "stun lock" you can put enemies in by punching slower, that they did here. Brilliant.
Watched this back then when it was uploaded, lately I've just been watching it over and over lately. Its awesome and fun to watch I know you guys don't upload anymore, but I hope you're all doing well. Happy 2022!
This is funny and cheesy as hell, but as a fan of not only the series, but SEGA and video games in general, I loved every minute of it. I really appreciate the attention to detail and nuances. Not only the life bar and timer, but the movement and the final boss being OP as s**t is spot on. This took a LOT of time and effort and it shows. Great job team.

The part where you can't hit the girl with the wip because she's on the floor and Adam kills himself killed me, so much love and fun put into the making of this. Thank you a lot for this!

The people just walking past must have been wondering what the hell was going on when you guys were filming this! But to me it was pure nostalgia, you really hit those points there!
That's right, folks, things like this used to happen all the time in the states. Used to walk home from the local Gamestop and pick up a cooked chicken under a traffic cone. Ah, those were the days.
Even yrs later, this is still one of the best videos I've ever seen. You guys seriously kicked ass and I loved every single minute of it like I did when I first saw it.

I never had problems picking items up, unless there were two weapons on the floor next to each other, there was no way to "attack" while you were standing over the other weapon, you'd just keep swapping weapons. I haven't watched all of this yet but I hope it's in here.
@@gutts1405 I think the problem is, he tried to grap fat guy, but instead was picking up the weapon. If I remember correctly, grab command, and pick up command are the same button.

From the baseball bat glitch at 5:40 to 25:10 the enemy that goes back and forth in the background with the knife, the attention to detail on this video is fantastic. I love the way Blaze walks away after flooring an opponent too! The Streets of Rage games are still great today and this video is both amusing and entertaining. It's a real shame about Blaze's hair. And Axel. He should be blond.
Yeah it's the amazing attention to detail that makes this so great. It's why I laughed so hard during the boss fight when I wondered why they were just standing there, the boss was looking from side to side and it all clicked when I realized they were doing the SoR1 special attack
