My daughter and I love our Storypod. My daughter is 1 year old but has had the Storypod since she was 6 months. She loves tapping the crafties and then playing with them while listening. We have also recorded our own audio. I have bought some trivia cards for when she is older.
I love our storypod as long as my 6 year old :) She listens to it every night before going to bed. As a Kindergartener, the trivia cards are a great educational tool along with the read a long books. Highly recommend
I had compared the Storypod to the toniebox before buying the Storypod and so glad I went with the Storypod. My kids love their Storypod, especially at bedtime or nap time when it's time to start settling down. I love that the Storypod has content to grow with my child and that they are always coming out with something new for the Storypod. Great review highlighting those things. But you should have mentioned more about the great benefits of the app. Such as checking battery life, turning off the Storypod without having to go into your child's room, turing on their nightlight feature of the Storypod, and so forth. Anyway, if anyone watching this is still on the fence, get the Storypod and you won't be disappointed.
They do have a pretty good app with bunch of features! I just haven’t really dived too much into it to know all the in and outs of the app. I mainly use it for the recording and checking to make sure the contents are downloaded.
Great review and very in-depth. I’ve been looking for a Christmas gift for my two year old as he LOVES books and bed time stories. I like the fact that I can leave the story pod in the room with him to listen and interact with if he needs help re-settling without needing my assistance.
You highlighted some of my favorite features. I love that the crafties can be removed and the content still plays uninterrupted. Also really appreciate that stories will continue where they left off, that feature often saves me from many toddler meltdowns. The icraftie was one of the big selling features for me. So wonderful that family afar can record sprouts and personal greetings to it.
I have a suggestion for the charging port. I used to have the same problem of wear and tear with my android. I ordered a magnetic charging cord and I never had to mess with the port again. You simply leave the end in the device and charge by connecting the cord through the magnet. I’m not sure how well i explained that 😂
Oooooh that's a great idea! I've always seen those magnetic charger add ons that mimic Apple's Magsafe for the laptops, but never tried one. I'll have to give it a try as that's probably one of my biggest concern is the port going bad.
Yes Kevin! My daughter has a Tonie, and I am curious if having both is overkill or there are benefits to having both. Always look forward to your feedback!
I can see it as a nice way to play songs and stories for the children. I’m no daycare expert so you probably know the children better. Only thing I can think of that would be “bad” is if too many children want to play with it at the same time.
Is this waterproof or drool proof? I have a special needs child who drools a lot and often shorts out all the electronics toys I buy her. Wish I could provide input to manufacturers! I am considering purchasing this item. Thank you!
Yes, you can re-record! Ideally you would place them on a book only once. I’ve personally had the experience of removing the sticker and re-sticking it onto another book and it’s held up well but I wouldn’t recommend doing that a lot of times.
@@kevin-lu As long as you can change out content I think I’ll stick the stickers on laminated 3x5 cards and label them reading practice so he can record himself reading and hear his mistakes.
I would say it depends more on the age of your child. For younger children and simplicity of use Toniebox is better like for my daughter who easily understood how to turn it on and use when she was 18 months. Storypod offers a wider range of listen materials that are not only the plushies. The books and trivia cards are great for older children like 4 and up.
Thank you. My son is turning 2 in October but I went ahead with the storypod because I think it will grow with him and therefore provide a better value. Thank you for your help with this. Great video.
I bought it and the subscription about 10 months ago. Customer service was rude and dismissive. 😢 It had to be replaced and then stopped working again a week ago. I have no recourse. A lot of content bought by me and the little boys family wasted. I feel terrible as I bought it. I RECOMMEND IT. I REGRET IT

We love our story pod and use it daily! I would highly recommend to get one for your child.

No interruptions is huge especially with two young children. Sooo much less frustration.
Thank you! My daughter just got one, and this was a great video to let me know everything it does.
Have you added content to your collection? Do you find your kids like the Yoto better or the storypod better? My kids are about the same age as yours

Can you pls do a comparison with the Yoto and toniebox?
YES PLEASE! Is story box or Toni box better? Looking to buy one for my 3yr old
I’ll make a video later comparing all three audio players. It’ll be tough to make a clear winner as e each have their own strengths and weaknesses.
@@kevin-lu It would be amazing to hear the strengths and weaknesses of each.
Yes Kevin! My daughter has a Tonie, and I am curious if having both is overkill or there are benefits to having both. Always look forward to your feedback!
He definitely did do one already of the yoto vs tonie
I adore our story pod
I think it’s because of the plushies but my daughter is especially drawn to the Storypod.
wow that a pretty cool legit gadget! man so high tech!
How do we play the story pod song on purpose?! My daughters, well all of us love that song! Lol
How long does it take to charge for the first time?
Do you think this was be beneficial for an in home daycare?
I can see it as a nice way to play songs and stories for the children. I’m no daycare expert so you probably know the children better. Only thing I can think of that would be “bad” is if too many children want to play with it at the same time.

Unfortunately this is not waterproof. The sides are soft cloth material so that would soak up all the water. Plus the charging port has no covers.
With the story book stickers which you record yourself, can you re-record them if needed? I guess a sticker is one use as it won't come off the book?
Yes, you can re-record! Ideally you would place them on a book only once. I’ve personally had the experience of removing the sticker and re-sticking it onto another book and it’s held up well but I wouldn’t recommend doing that a lot of times.
@@sophiadeluz thank you!!
Those stickers you mention. Are they removeable? Can you swap the content on it when your child outgrows a book?
They’re fairly sticky, so I don’t think they’re removable. Would’ve been really nice if they were removable!
@@kevin-lu As long as you can change out content I think I’ll stick the stickers on laminated 3x5 cards and label them reading practice so he can record himself reading and hear his mistakes.
@lisarenberg7269 You can change out the content and rerecord over them.
Are you going to do storypod v tonies? I’m so torn
It is on my to make video list!
@kevin-lu my daughter is turning 1, any insight on which to get or if I should wait
It’s a tough one, but young age I think the Toniebox is easier to use with less buttons for distraction.
Do you prefer storypod or tonie?
I would say it depends more on the age of your child. Ah, only available in the US unfortunately!

It’s a tonie box but with stuffed animals
You don't have to use stuffed animals. They have other options
The idea is similar but they have different contents as well as the interactive buttons that Toniebox doesn’t have.
