      +fhhh NO HOMO but i like everything about him. he has a lovely voice.. the way he just doesn't only concentrate on the specs department and gives us the little details which might be a deal breaker for some and he uses his humour quite well without looking like a fool and it still looks professional.

    Watching this for fun in 2019. Suddenly heard the quote at 0:23. Good old times, when solid smartphones keep getting less expensive. Now it's the other way around.

    Been using the OPT for a few days now and i disagree with a few points in this review. Since the updates, camera has gotten way better. Screen is great, battery life is amazing (4+ hours of SOT everyday), the 810 does not overheat even with heavy usage although it does get warm around the metal plate. Worst part is the long charging time! Otherwise it's a great phone.

    • @michaelasar1012
      @michaelasar1012 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      4 hours SOT is not bad it's good, 5 is really good and 6 is excellent , the one plus one people have been known for getting more than 4 that's why it's not as good considering the predecessor out does it, same with the note 4 to note 5 not a big difference so it doesn't seem as good to people. battery life may improve with an update but maybe not that significantly because the 810 isn't that great for battery life unless it's under clocked or managed very well

    • @Pocketnow
      @Pocketnow  9 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      +Manas S Thanks for the feedback. Disagree on your characterization of 4 hours SoT as "amazing," however. Nine hours SoT is "amazing" battery life: pocketnow.com/2014/06/12/huawei-ascend-mate2-4g-lte-review

    • @7glaedr
      @7glaedr 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Pocketnow I think it's relative. Either way SOT shouldn't be the only thing to measure good battery life. Standby time on here is great as well. Also, disagree with the viewing angles bit as well. Worst parts about the phone are probably a bit laggy software, apps open quicker if you use Google Now Launcher, lag with physical home button when jumping to home and ridiculous charging time. 2 out of those 3 are fixable with an update.

    • @michaelasar1012
      @michaelasar1012 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Manas S yeah what makes or breaks one pluses is always the software, but like they said it is a phone for the person who doesn't mind tinkering, unless you really need the scanner you should try a cm 12.1 rom or try another custom rom on your phone you'll be able to get better battery life on it if you root your phone

    • @7glaedr
      @7glaedr 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** nah, not gonna root it. Think Oxygen will get better with time.

    I own both the OP1and the OP2 and the OP1 is the better phone tbh. Mainly due to the ridiculously customisability, thanks to Cyanogen OS.
    OP1 OP2
    build quality 6.5/10 9/10 loving the metal body
    speakers 7/10 3.5/10 only comes out the right side for the OP2, so doesn't sound good at all
    Camera 7/10 5/10 as Michael said, it wonders too often and its slow to actually capture the moment
    Memory (64GB) 7/10 7/10
    RAM 3GB/4GB 7/10 7/10 OP1 still just as speedy and fluid
    OS - Cyanogen/Oxygen 9/10 5/10 after using the OP1, Oxygen OS just doesn't quite cut it, the customisability level is low compared to the OP1
    Finger Print scanner - 6/10 works like 65% of the time
    Battery Life 8/10 7/10 OP2 charges slightly quicker than the OP1, where the OP1 was at 15%, the OP2 at 7%, the OP2 reached 100% like 1-2mins before the OP1, but loses charge quicker than the OP1. Tho both can last 2 days with moderate use.
    Overall, build quality, the OP2, but overall user experience OP1. OP1 defo retains the 'Flagship Killer' title but not the same the for the OP2. The box opening experience is also better for the OP1 than the OP2

      Having to get an invite just to buy the damn thing really sucks.
      Also, removing NFC when Android Pay is officially out was a stupid choice.

    Standing.....ovation ( that was my Kirk impression)
    The irony of the impressions given on social media, unboxings, comparasion videos and podcasts (not unlike the product leaks and intentional teasing by OnePlus themselves) and the wait for this review (not unlike waiting for an invite) will be critically analyzed and discussed for years to come.
    Well played.
    A performance for the ages!

    The OS has a few problems then, but that's not a big problem.
    You just replace oxygen with a stable version of Cyanogenmod and it's fixed right?
    Or has cyanogenmod a lack of abilities?

    OPT vs Zenfone2 + CM 12.1? Thoughts?
    It seems like the Zenfone2 has more features (NFC, micro SD, fast charging) whereas the OPT has a better camera and build quality (and a bit more CPU power). Is there anything else to look for here?

    Can someone please give me their opinion on this. I'm having a hard time deciding whether to buy this phone or the Motorola Nexus 6. The only thing preventing me from this phone is the screen quality and the wireless charging. I'm a big fan of large screens so the 6inch screen wouldn't be a problem for me.

    Go the OPT for a few weeks now and I gotta say that it is a good phone but not great for this price (compared to other chinese smartphones producers like Xiaomi or Meizu). This is basically due to the OS offering on the device. Poor in-built apps (for eg, no stock gallery) and camera OS is really really slow. As for battery life, it is average, understandable due to having to feed such a big screen and powerful processor but the lack of fast charging is really a let down since that was one of the up and rising feature of the processor. This device has a lot to offer if the OS is optimized fully if not well hope they make a cyanogenmod build quickly.

    Oneplus Two (OPT) ordered and returned on Amazon..Sadly with all the hype..the Flagship killer got killed this time around...I returned back to my Oneplus One (OPO) which still rocks with CM 12.1
    Here are the reasons why I returned it :
    1.Snapdragon 810 does heat up especially the metallic rim which runs around the phone.
    2. No fast charging which means it take twice(2hrs+) the time to charge compared to Oneplus One and the worst part is you need to carry 2 cables if you plan to use a power bank coz u will need one std usb cable to charge ur power bank and the usb type c for ur OnePlus Two.
    3. USB type C is just cosmetic..internally it is still USB 2.0 as there is no difference in the data transfer speed at all.
    4. The device is not as sleek as Oneplus One as it is heavier
    5. Oxygen OS is no comparison to CM 12.1 in terms of refinement and features
    6. OnePlus One gives better battery time than OnePlus Two
    7. Invite system sucks..I got my invite by upgrading one of my Airtel postpaid from 3G to 4G at no extra cost.(Good new is than OnePlus Two will be available w/o invite soon)
    8. Vibration motor and the speaker output is weaker than Oneplus One
    Some +ves are as follows:
    -Super fast processor although it is detuned from 2.3 to 1.8 Ghz for the OPT
    App loads and open up aa tad quicker than OPO
    -4GB DDR4 RAM but compared to OPO it hardly makes any difference
    - Finger print scanner works like magic

    Great review. This would have been the phone for me if it had microSD expansion instead of dual SIM (have zero use for it), NFC, and a remotely sane purchasing process (300K on a waitlist in the millions... have not heard a peep). I went with the $249.99 unlocked Gflex 2 on eBay and I am completely satisfied with it. No thermal issues after upgrading to 5.1.1 and as far as OEM skins go, LG adds some genuinely useful features.
    Hopefully the OnePlus 3 or next year's Nexus 5 really knocks it out of the park. I will pay more to get a feature list that ages comfortably, but there has been no unequivocal slam dunk in the off contract space this year.

    I think the thing that kills the OnePlus 2 for me is the lack of NFC. With Android Pay now starting to roll out (and myself using that on my LG G4 and Apple Pay on my 6), they really missed that. Like you said Michael, bad timing.

      god no. why would you spend 320 on a 1+2 when u can get a 1+3 for 400? 80 bucks and a whole new generation ahead.

      @austinle 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      420 Dont Blaze It, Study in my opinion, the oneplus 2 is right for me because its affordable and I don't need 6gb of ram or whatever. I think the oneplus 2 is better. just my opinion

      Austin Le Yeah, not arguing with that. Both phones are pretty much on par with most other flagships today, was just giving my 2 cents.

    Is it bad that I've had a OnePlus Two for two weeks and haven't opened it yet? Been thinking of selling it but I don't know. I like my current device.

    It is possible to buy it online without the invite, there are a lot of resellers from China. The company that makes OPPO phones is the owner of OnePlus, so just go to their store, and you get fast shipping and a one year warranty. Mine was 380EUR for the 64GB version, and am waiting for it to arrive in a few days ;)

    You'd be better off getting the Oneplus One at this point. $299 (down $50 from launch price) for the 64gb, 3gb ram, and no more invite on that phone.

    I had the Sony z5 but now have a one plus two which I honestly prefer, feels better in hand, fells quicker, is a better full experience to me. the NFC doesn't bother me as I don't mind pulling out my wallet, quick charge is a bit of a bummer but isn't a massive downer for me as the battery is pretty good. overall the one plus two is brilliant, my favourite phone to date, I prefer it to my z5, m9 and Nexus 6. The price is good and the specs are big. I'm looking forward to the one plus 3. good review. thanks.

    If ASUS Zenfone 2 had a good software support and regular OS updates in the pipeline, I would choose it over OnePlus 2. ZF2 has NFC and fast charging but ASUS doesn't release the latest firmware, while OnePlus 2 are solid in both hardware and software but lacks some modern features.

    I own a OnePlus 2 and its a dream phone for the price, Yes the phone heats up, but so do a lot others, The price in India is 25k which is cheaper than all flagships, heck the Nexus 5 is retailing for 21K for 16GB variant, I love stock android and OP2 has done a splendid job keeping minimal bloatware..
    It is a killer phone for price, and flagship killer or not this phone is a price killer for sure!!
    Other flagship prices in India
    1. OnePlus 2 : 25K
    2. LG G4 : 40k
    3. S6 : 40K
    4. iPHONE 6 : ~55K (64 GB)
    So this is a flagship killer in the price point and a heck of phone overall, Plus the camera is amazing and the new manual mode is also amazing!!

    I own one, it's a great handset that is very handsome, and durable.
    If you primarily use your phone for text messaging, voice calling, email etc- it's a perfect piece of hardware.
    Fills a hand nicely- easy to hold on to. The capacitive buttons and ringer hardware key are really a great touch. Great compromise/Android solution for anyone used to operating iOS hardware. HDR photos are very vivid- perfect for quick Instagram uploads.
