The first trailer you watched actually tells us little bit about every main quest story line chapter acts. Right now we're at act 4 (Masquerade of the guilty) so everything that is going to happen in act 5 and 6 (and 7(?)) is still a mystery. Also, the voice who narrates this trailer belongs to character named Dainsleif (the blonde dude dressed in blue at the end of the trailer) who has very important role in the story. If you ever decide to play the game, you will understand what I mean ;D

Genshin has a co-op mode where you can play with up to 4 people. You can't play story in co-op mode, but you can explore the map together and fight bosses! This unlocks at 16AR (adventure rank), which is easy to achieve ^^

Genshin for sure is a slow burn but the world is big and entertaning to explore with fun combat and characters, but for sure there is allot of reading outside the main content to get into lore truly.
As a starter to genshin lore. There are 7 nations each ruled by their respective god which also rules over the 7 elements of the game. Every major update explores a new nation 1.0 has Mondstadt, the nation of Anemo (wind) and Liyue the nation of Geo (earth). 2.0 is Inazuma the nation of Electro (lightning), 3.0 is Sumeru the nation of Dendro (trees), and 4.0 is Fontaine the nation of Hydro (water). In the future 5.0 will be Natlan the nation of Pyro (fire), and 6.0 will be Shnezhnaya the nation of Cryo (ice). Each nation is also themed after a real world culture. Mondstadt is medieval Germany, Liyue is Ancient China, Inazuma is Feudal Japan, Sumeru is divided into 2 parts the rainforest is Indian inspired, while the desert is middle eastern inspired, Fontaine is post-industrial revolution France. Even though we don't have Natlan and Shnezhnaya yet, the teasers and trailers seem to indicate that they'll be based on pre-colonial Mayan for Natlan and Soviet era Russia for Shnezhnaya.
Awesome reaction! It does get overwhelming seeing all these trailers tbh but that's only because you're trying to process all these stories they've accumulated the past 3 years. Don't get discouraged by it though! Some of the ones you've watched are part of the main story of the main character, meanwhile some are time-limited events that gives a breather in between those stories and gives you lots of rewards you need in game. Genshin is story driven, but not every character appears in the main story, that's why they also create smaller events for us to see those other characters. And speaking of characters, I highly recommend the Character demo reactions (arranged from oldest to newest, so you can see how much they've improved over the years)! And one of the best things with the character demos is that you get to hear music specifically tailored to them! I hope you enjoy their music! I'd usually recommend you to react first to the character demos > character teasers > genshin version trailers because knowing the characters at a base level would help you understand why they're in the trailer in the first place.

Im only like 2 minutes in so I don't know if you figure it out later but both sets are siblings. There are no "real" canon couples [implied for a few but nothing canon] Edit: okay you figured it out nvm. Also should add you play as a team of four characters of your choosing[if you are good at gambling and have them that is]each character has their own way of fighting but they are all one of the seven elements which all have different reactions with each other. I will say it can be a bit overwhelming when you very first start but it calms down quite a bit once you've gotten past the prologue. Would love to see you stream it♡♡
Every x.0 version results in a new nation being released, having regions within them released in separate version. Mondstadt and Liyue in 1.0, Inazuma in 2.0, Sumeru in 3.0, and Fontaine in 4.0. Archon quests are released for the first couple versions of a nation. These 4.0+ trailers have been absolute BANGERS, Final Feast included
About gameplay, the game is well balanced so far, the festering desire sword (no longer able to obtain) as old as it is, is still very good and recently a new character is her best in slot next to the signature. They have buffed only once a character and the element around him and just recently we got the first power creep that is actually explained and accepted because from a player/lore/in-game story it would not make sense if he was "normal" power. Different from many games is that the 4* characters are worth it, specially the OG ones to the point that to make shine some 5* you need the 4*.
Regarding the updates that appear in Liyue (that is, the nation based on China), they're annual events to celebrate the Lantern Rite festival! This is essentially their way of celebrating the lunar new year in Genshin impact, and they recur every February :) Hence all the red, gold, lanterns, and festive atmosphere. So, not part of the archon quests (aka the main storyline), but definitely the most popular event in Genshin Impact. Yes!! The OSTS in Genshin are gorgeous. Even if you decide not to play the game, I highly recommend listening or reacting to the music. I'll stop myself from answering all the questions, cuz would be quite overwhelming, DB! Maybe just one fact: the sword you're interested in 9:30 & 11:30 is still very strong till this day (due to its flexibility when equiped to any supporting role sword users that want DPS-ish damage), which is suprisingly not a usual thing in this game. However, free "time-gated event weapons" exist time to time in Genshin and Fastering D is one of them GOOD NEWS: it's not someone's Signature Weapon (there was one specific time-gated event weapon that is a signature to a single character and useless to others, but it never happens again so you're good).
@@DruzersBase No that's the point, you can't. Festering Desire was only available to people who played its debut event. This is the case for a lot of weapons, including the fish claymore you saw.
Things that from the older versions are actually cracked. For example that sword you liked, Festering Desire? Utterly broken on some of the latest characters (Furina). Genshin's power creep is thankfully barely there and the content is fairly well balanced if sometimes a bit easy for PC/Console players because people on Phones have to be able to complete it. I'd welcome an optional harder difficulty that doesn't alter rewards but gives a more challenging combat experience.

About what you said in 16:43, I'm sure i may not be 100% right on this since I'm still fairly new to Genshin myself (i started back in July of 2023), but I believe the big deal with the lanterns and Lantern Rite is because every year there is a Lantern Rite festival, with it occuring around the time of Chinese New Year. There are also 5 weapon types: Sword, Claymore ( basically a greatsword but some claymores look like a club or battle axe), Polearm so spears, Bows, and Catalyst which are basically mage types (in game selectable catalyst will appear as a spellbook or talisman object) and deal only elemental damage but don't necessarily have to be a mage they some catalyst user like Heizou (martial artist) and Wriothesley (boxer) are shown in close combat where some catalyst users channel their elemental powers through an object like Charlotte's camera

Enjoyed watching your reaction and comments are all valid espcially your thoughts about the side events (mini games). Those are part of limited events that reward players with materials for building and summoning characters, so those are essential for players who dont spend on the game. Also for day 1 players including me, who do not have much left to explore in the current map, those mini games are kind of a filler while we wait for new versions.

16:40 - It USED TO BE a spoiler. It's the finale cutscene from the end of the first Lantern Rite event; the content can't be played any more so the only way to see the cutscene is through that video. It doesn't _actually_ spoil anything. I don't know why they *still* have the warning in the title... Without the context from the game/lore, nothing in this playlist is a direct spoiler. Everything in the playlist that _isn't_ a version trailer is just story setup. The summer updates (1.6 and x.8 after that) are just fun events (though there is more to them if you're observant ;)) in the last patch before the next major area drops in the next update (x.0). Festivals happen once a year as a guarantee with Lantern Rite (versions 1.3, 2.4, 3.4 & 4.4), though sometimes there's others in addition as well (Windblume Festival being the most common seconds one). The card game is permenent content. The camera _can_ be used, but it came in a later version (4.2).
All That Glitters 2/3 is the release date... Feb 3. It was the Chinese New Years. The first two videos are from pre-release and the first one is a preview of the entire overall story. It showed us characters that are currently available as playable characters, up until Natlan, since Natlan is not released yet. We're only at Fontaine so far. All music is available for free on Spotify and TH-cam. 17:15 - It blew up because it was a firework 😂 28:25 - While there is a TON of content in Genshin, especially for new players, a lot of what you see in the trailers is actually old events that you can't play anymore. But a new player isn't going to find themselves bored unless Genshin's gameplay/story is legit not for them. 28:58 - "How long is this game?" The game isn't even finished yet. Every 40 days there's a new update with new content, but only specific update patches include story that progresses the plot or expands the map. 37:18 - It's okay. No one does. As for you playing Genshin, I recommend both streaming and video. Stream for a few hours for those who like that, then make a smaller edited video cutting out the fat (grinding, exploring, ect...) Some players like the slow stuff, others prefer just seeing your reaction to the story.

If you wish to know. When it comes to Event Weapons, Events and Rewards which come with a version of the game they are limited to that version/update of the game and gone when the next one version comes. Characters and Weapons are cycled throughout future versions, Hoyoverse (the company that made Genshin) try to make the return of characters fit the story of the current version. New characters and weapons don't come in every update. For the things that remain the same are the story, quests and characters you meet throughout your play. But keep in mind playable characters only show up during a story or event and gone when completed. Hope you enjoy Genshin Impact. It can be played F2P but to get characters and weapons will cost premium in game currency which very tiny amounts are given each day when you play Daily Quests. So save up and good luck.

If you are going to play, I've always preferred videos over livestreams for this game. I like being able to see someone's actual first impressions and when you have a chat telling you stuff all the time your own opinions tend to get muddled. That's just my opinion of course, play the game how you like! Edit: Also you're absolutely correct that the music in the game is incredible, and not just to the common ear either. There are countless professional musician youtubers that have done analyses on this game's music, some people even joke that Hoyoverse is a music company that "just happens to make games on the side" (though that does kind of discredit how incredible the other aspects of their games are too, but it's still funny to joke about) Edit 2: You asked how long the game is, well it's nowhere near done, but to catch up currently it should take about 70 hours of just the main story, this is about 20% of what the game has to offer though, and that's also not accounting for the time spent leveling up in order to get to those stories. @@DruzersBase Have fun traveling around the world of Teyvat! One thing I forgot to mention is that, much like you noticed in the trailers, the game itself improves steadily over time. That isn’t to say the older stuff is bad of course, just that if you ever find a part of the game a little unsatisfactory, more likely than not it gets fixed later on. The developers put all of their effort into improving what they’re currently making, it’s a live service game after all, but that does mean that some small bugs in the early game haven’t been patched out. The most notable one being in the prologue quests there’s a random chance that the wrong dialogue is played (depending on if you choose the female MC or male it’ll misgender you) but its a small price to pay for the incredible updates that have been coming out recently

I can never seem to keep my comments short but i suppose this may be useful. Some version updates are indeed focused entirely on temporary content so mainly events. As for permanent content the updates add some quests regularly & some more randomly. Archon Quests (Main story) is continued generally in versions x.0-x.2. So for example the most recent main story continuations happened in versions 4.0-4.2. With the main story continuing the open world also always expands and we get new world quests which involve helping NPCs and/or exploration of the new map, more lore about the world etc. Map expansions can happen in any update after x.2 as well for example version 4.4 gave us another world expansion. Interlude Quests are added randomly after a version x.2. They are part of the main story, but can focus more on a single place or character. Traveler Quests are also added randomly after a version x.2. They are also part of the main story and always involve a certain mysterious character & lore relating to that person & some past events. Character Story Quests are added each time a new 5* character is added to the game and they focus on that new character. Certain characters have Story Quests that can be considered part of the main story line due to their importance. Character Hangout Events are added for 4* but usually a few updates after said 4* is added to the game. Overall theres probably hundreds of hours worth of content in quests alone. I know the main story alone is like 45h of gameplay. === 11:30 Festering Desire is actually still a good sword, sadly it was only available during version 1.2 and can no longer be obtained. Thats how it is with limited event weapons. Newer characters/weapons arent necessarily better than older ones. Generally if a character/weapon is considered bad, theyve always been bad, no matter if theyre new or old. Though i dare say any character can be good with enough investment. 25:20 The Serenitea Pot is like uhh.. the building aspect of Sims but way less freedom with building. You can also purchase actually useful materials from the Teapot Spirit. 37:18 No need to understand artifacts. They dont really even matter a ton in game until you hit Adventure Rank 45. 1:15:00 The map is massive and just keeps on expanding. 1:25:30 Every update brings with it multiple smaller events, but bigger festival events are usually expected in updates x.3-x.8. Lantern Rite for example is an annual event that basically celebrates the Chinese New Year. The past few years it has always landed on a x.4 version. Theres usually a big summer event before we enter a new nation in the story, those events generally land on x.8 versions. Generally i think theres at least one big festival event per nation each year, though the main focus will be on events in the nation were currently in, in the story. cba to timestamp this one but yes there are cameras & a card game in game.
Skiping events info is good because they are already gone, but you just skip too fast. Sometimes you are not even waiting for trailer part to end. Several times there are some smaller parts in the end or even trailer didn't end yet but you are already skiping to another one. Dissapointed in that with you =/ But except this it was nice reaction =)

The first trailer you watched actually tells us little bit about every main quest story line chapter acts. Right now we're at act 4 (Masquerade of the guilty) so everything that is going to happen in act 5 and 6 (and 7(?)) is still a mystery. Also, the voice who narrates this trailer belongs to character named Dainsleif (the blonde dude dressed in blue at the end of the trailer) who has very important role in the story. If you ever decide to play the game, you will understand what I mean ;D

Genshin has a co-op mode where you can play with up to 4 people. You can't play story in co-op mode, but you can explore the map together and fight bosses! This unlocks at 16AR (adventure rank), which is easy to achieve ^^

Genshin for sure is a slow burn but the world is big and entertaning to explore with fun combat and characters, but for sure there is allot of reading outside the main content to get into lore truly.
As a starter to genshin lore. There are 7 nations each ruled by their respective god which also rules over the 7 elements of the game. Every major update explores a new nation 1.0 has Mondstadt, the nation of Anemo (wind) and Liyue the nation of Geo (earth). 2.0 is Inazuma the nation of Electro (lightning), 3.0 is Sumeru the nation of Dendro (trees), and 4.0 is Fontaine the nation of Hydro (water). In the future 5.0 will be Natlan the nation of Pyro (fire), and 6.0 will be Shnezhnaya the nation of Cryo (ice).
Each nation is also themed after a real world culture. Mondstadt is medieval Germany, Liyue is Ancient China, Inazuma is Feudal Japan, Sumeru is divided into 2 parts the rainforest is Indian inspired, while the desert is middle eastern inspired, Fontaine is post-industrial revolution France. Even though we don't have Natlan and Shnezhnaya yet, the teasers and trailers seem to indicate that they'll be based on pre-colonial Mayan for Natlan and Soviet era Russia for Shnezhnaya.

Awesome reaction! It does get overwhelming seeing all these trailers tbh but that's only because you're trying to process all these stories they've accumulated the past 3 years. Don't get discouraged by it though! Some of the ones you've watched are part of the main story of the main character, meanwhile some are time-limited events that gives a breather in between those stories and gives you lots of rewards you need in game. Genshin is story driven, but not every character appears in the main story, that's why they also create smaller events for us to see those other characters.
And speaking of characters, I highly recommend the Character demo reactions (arranged from oldest to newest, so you can see how much they've improved over the years)! And one of the best things with the character demos is that you get to hear music specifically tailored to them! I hope you enjoy their music!
I'd usually recommend you to react first to the character demos > character teasers > genshin version trailers because knowing the characters at a base level would help you understand why they're in the trailer in the first place.

In actuality, the Character TEASERS are supposed to be an additional story given to a character DEMO. So it's like Xiao has a character demo, and then a character teaser about him. And only 5star characters have character teasers. If you don't see a character with a little story, that means they're most likely a 4star character.

Im only like 2 minutes in so I don't know if you figure it out later but both sets are siblings. There are no "real" canon couples [implied for a few but nothing canon]

Also should add you play as a team of four characters of your choosing[if you are good at gambling and have them that is]each character has their own way of fighting but they are all one of the seven elements which all have different reactions with each other.
I will say it can be a bit overwhelming when you very first start but it calms down quite a bit once you've gotten past the prologue. Would love to see you stream it♡♡

Every x.0 version results in a new nation being released, having regions within them released in separate version. Mondstadt and Liyue in 1.0, Inazuma in 2.0, Sumeru in 3.0, and Fontaine in 4.0. About gameplay, the game is well balanced so far, the festering desire sword (no longer able to obtain) as old as it is, is still very good and recently a new character is her best in slot next to the signature. They have buffed only once a character and the element around him and just recently we got the first power creep that is actually explained and accepted because from a player/lore/in-game story it would not make sense if he was "normal" power.
Different from many games is that the 4* characters are worth it, specially the OG ones to the point that to make shine some 5* you need the 4*.

Regarding the updates that appear in Liyue (that is, the nation based on China), they're annual events to celebrate the Lantern Rite festival! This is essentially their way of celebrating the lunar new year in Genshin impact, and they recur every February :) Hence all the red, gold, lanterns, and festive atmosphere. So, not part of the archon quests (aka the main storyline), but definitely the most popular event in Genshin Impact.

Some of these weapons are still quite viable in endgame, the problem is, is that they are no longer obtainable as they were limited to version 1.2. This sword is actually one of the newest archons best in slot f2p weapon. A 5 star character we have doesn’t have a signature weapon and their best in slot, is one that was obtainable In 2.3 I think ( we are in version 4.4 and btw each version lasts 40 days. There is no version 1.9, 2.9, 3.9, and on, it goes from 1.8 to 2.0, or 2.8 to 3.0 )

I'll stop myself from answering all the questions, cuz would be quite overwhelming, DB! Maybe just one fact: the sword you're interested in 9:30 & 11:30 is still very strong till this day (due to its flexibility when equiped to any supporting role sword users that want DPS-ish damage), which is suprisingly not a usual thing in this game. However, free "time-gated event weapons" exist time to time in Genshin and Fastering D is one of them GOOD NEWS: it's not someone's Signature Weapon (there was one specific time-gated event weapon that is a signature to a single character and useless to others, but it never happens again so you're good).

Things that from the older versions are actually cracked. For example that sword you liked, Festering Desire? Utterly broken on some of the latest characters (Furina). Genshin's power creep is thankfully barely there and the content is fairly well balanced if sometimes a bit easy for PC/Console players because people on Phones have to be able to complete it.
I'd welcome an optional harder difficulty that doesn't alter rewards but gives a more challenging combat experience.

Genshin has 7 elements Anemo (wind), Geo (stone), Electro (lightning), Dendro (plants), Hydro (water), Pyro (fire), and Cryo (ice). There are also 5 weapon types: Sword, Claymore ( basically a greatsword but some claymores look like a club or battle axe), Polearm so spears, Bows, and Catalyst which are basically mage types (in game selectable catalyst will appear as a spellbook or talisman object) and deal only elemental damage but don't necessarily have to be a mage they some catalyst user like Heizou (martial artist) and Wriothesley (boxer) are shown in close combat where some catalyst users channel their elemental powers through an object like Charlotte's camera

Those are part of limited events that reward players with materials for building and summoning characters, so those are essential for players who dont spend on the game. Also for day 1 players including me, who do not have much left to explore in the current map, those mini games are kind of a filler while we wait for new versions.

Festivals happen once a year as a guarantee with Lantern Rite (versions 1.3, 2.4, 3.4 & 4.4), though sometimes there's others in addition as well (Windblume Festival being the most common seconds one).
The card game is permenent content. The camera _can_ be used, but it came in a later version (4.2).

Playing Genshin is a looong journey but it's worth it. This game has me hooked since two years.
All That Glitters 2/3 is the release date... Feb 3. It was the Chinese New Years. The first two videos are from pre-release and the first one is a preview of the entire overall story. It showed us characters that are currently available as playable characters, up until Natlan, since Natlan is not released yet. We're only at Fontaine so far. Also, the two blonds are siblings, twins to be exact, and the whole game is basically you trying to find the sibling (whether you are looking for Aether or Lumine depends on which one you choose to play as) same as the two shown for Fontaine, they are twins, even if the girl has cat ears while the brother doesn't... its kind of explained?

If you wish to know. When it comes to Event Weapons, Events and Rewards which come with a version of the game they are limited to that version/update of the game and gone when the next one version comes. Characters and Weapons are cycled throughout future versions, Hoyoverse (the company that made Genshin) try to make the return of characters fit the story of the current version. New characters and weapons don't come in every update.
For the things that remain the same are the story, quests and characters you meet throughout your play. But keep in mind playable characters only show up during a story or event and gone when completed.
Hope you enjoy Genshin Impact. It can be played F2P but to get characters and weapons will cost premium in game currency which very tiny amounts are given each day when you play Daily Quests. So save up and good luck.

If you are going to play, I've always preferred videos over livestreams for this game. I like being able to see someone's actual first impressions and when you have a chat telling you stuff all the time your own opinions tend to get muddled. That's just my opinion of course, play the game how you like!
Edit: Also you're absolutely correct that the music in the game is incredible, and not just to the common ear either. There are countless professional musician youtubers that have done analyses on this game's music, some people even joke that Hoyoverse is a music company that "just happens to make games on the side" (though that does kind of discredit how incredible the other aspects of their games are too, but it's still funny to joke about)
Edit 2: You asked how long the game is, well it's nowhere near done, but to catch up currently it should take about 70 hours of just the main story, this is about 20% of what the game has to offer though, and that's also not accounting for the time spent leveling up in order to get to those stories. So yeah. Very big game! It's also an open world game if you hadn't realized, so there's plenty of stuff to do
Edit 3: Sorry for making this so long lmao, you asked if the game will be too much for a new player, a portion of the stuff in these trailers are limited time events, so that certainly helps in that regard, but for the rest of it, the game isn't meant to be rushed. Sure there's a lot of content, but it's spaced out rather well so as long as you take it at a pace you're comfortable with it'll be fine

@@DruzersBase Have fun traveling around the world of Teyvat! One thing I forgot to mention is that, much like you noticed in the trailers, the game itself improves steadily over time. That isn’t to say the older stuff is bad of course, just that if you ever find a part of the game a little unsatisfactory, more likely than not it gets fixed later on. The developers put all of their effort into improving what they’re currently making, it’s a live service game after all, but that does mean that some small bugs in the early game haven’t been patched out. The most notable one being in the prologue quests there’s a random chance that the wrong dialogue is played (depending on if you choose the female MC or male it’ll misgender you) but its a small price to pay for the incredible updates that have been coming out recently
My sugestion is, only for main story using video format, and the other like exploring the world, doing world quest, story quest in livestream

I can never seem to keep my comments short but i suppose this may be useful.
Some version updates are indeed focused entirely on temporary content so mainly events.
As for permanent content the updates add some quests regularly & some more randomly.
Archon Quests (Main story) is continued generally in versions x.0-x.2. So for example the most recent main story continuations happened in versions 4.0-4.2.
With the main story continuing the open world also always expands and we get new world quests which involve helping NPCs and/or exploration of the new map, more lore about the world etc. Map expansions can happen in any update after x.2 as well for example version 4.4 gave us another world expansion.
Interlude Quests are added randomly after a version x.2. They are part of the main story, but can focus more on a single place or character.
Traveler Quests are also added randomly after a version x.2. They are also part of the main story and always involve a certain mysterious character & lore relating to that person & some past events.
Character Story Quests are added each time a new 5* character is added to the game and they focus on that new character. Certain characters have Story Quests that can be considered part of the main story line due to their importance. Character Hangout Events are added for 4* but usually a few updates after said 4* is added to the game.
Overall theres probably hundreds of hours worth of content in quests alone. I know the main story alone is like 45h of gameplay.

11:30 Festering Desire is actually still a good sword, sadly it was only available during version 1.2 and can no longer be obtained. Thats how it is with limited event weapons. Newer characters/weapons arent necessarily better than older ones. Generally if a character/weapon is considered bad, theyve always been bad, no matter if theyre new or old. Though i dare say any character can be good with enough investment.

Generally i think theres at least one big festival event per nation each year, though the main focus will be on events in the nation were currently in, in the story.

Skiping events info is good because they are already gone, but you just skip too fast. Sometimes you are not even waiting for trailer part to end. Several times there are some smaller parts in the end or even trailer didn't end yet but you are already skiping to another one.
