the best part about all of this (if you're a lore lover) is that genshin's lore goes so much deeper than this. a lot of stuff is expanded upon in world quests and in random books found around teyvat.
The whole Narzissenkreuz Institute storyline could just be an anime/game of its own with how deep it goes, and thats considering the fact that its just a side quest
20:21 To our understanding, Paimon feels like she owes us for saving her life, but it becomes increasingly clear over time that she is emotionally dependent on the Traveler because they are all she has left, possibly not even family or memories to fall back on. We also can tell that Paimon is from Celestia in some capacity, considering that her clothes matches some of the architecture we find there, i.e. the sleeves matching the plumes atop the pillars of Celestia that you see in the beginning. It's very likely that Paimon was forced to deal with an entire pantheon of gods either turning their backs on her or completely forgetting her existence.
Isn't she confirmed that she's from Teyvet because she forgot who Greator Lord Rukkhadevata was? (genuine question bc im not much of a lore reader lol)
@@mivxuq Yes, but keep in mind that Celestia supposedly has several gods beyond the archons and only 4 descenders have appeared throughout history. To our knowledge, the Heavenly Principles are the first and only one among the gods, so it implies that Celestia was either made by her after her arrival here, or it existed before she showed up and Paimon was simply overthrown and cast aside. On the topic of Descenders though, I have reason to believe that the 2nd might very well be Alice. She’s shown though one of the Collective Miscellany to know details that have been erased from Irmansul. It was either Nahida’s or Wanderer’s.
24:36 In the fight against Ei, she disables your elemental powers, leaving you near fucked against her. She is also several times faster than anything we've fought so far, and you lose via cutscene from losing a single character, rather than losing the whole team.
the best part is that the whole story is completely scattered throughout the game, a normal book in the library has more info about this world than we know of it by playing the game. Every item, character, food etc has a story to tell you
Venti actually helped alot during the archon quest. And venti prefers to be the 'absentee god' bc of mondsadt's past of being under tyrants; he doesn't want to rule over mondstadt and rathers the people take care of themselves. He does involve himself when it seems mondstadt isn't able to handle the problem themselves though. Zhongli has been the archon of liyue for 3,700 years when it was first established, as well as past civilisations for even longer such as the past guili assembly and people of mount tianheng. And he has been doing a *lot* of work behind the scenes when he was archon. After he retired ie faked his death, the workload of the Qixing increased multiple-fold. You suprisingly got the reason why Zhongli is bad with money rn, unlike most of the fandom. Loved the video though, your commentary is so entertaining and i couldn't stop laughing at moments. If you are interested, you should def look more into the lore of genshin. The world building goes sooo far, and the archon quests are just the tip of the iceberg (as a lot of ppl here has already said).
what you've seen right now is just the tip of the iceberg. Genshin story is DARK asf. Genshin lore gets deeper and bigger and wider and it's so much that people can come up with multiple theories. The stories during in game is very sad and beautiful and the things happening around was very nice
There's a very niche hidden quest in Genshin so far which I think is a wasted potential (or maybe not, maybe they're cooking something with it) and it concerns the supposed escapee from the Sumeru hospital who was slowly losing it as he tries to escape. He turned from asking the gods for help into full-on hating them. The achievement for finishing that quest is titled referencing cthulu myth. The set up was pyschologically scary (you're traversing a tunnel) and the ending was a camera pan of King Deshret's mausoleum. Not really sure if this was tackled again back in Sumeru. For me, that was the greatest environment-only story telling.
Basicly we're going from anarchist germany(Mondstadt) to capitalist china(Liyue) to isolationist japan(Inazuma) to dream-internet india(Sumaru) to rules-lawyer france(Fontaine)
I find it crazy they didnt go in depth for the caribert quest. I mean, there's so much important stuff, but all they said was "its the sibling's memories from the past." They didn't even mention the Loom of Fate or the Sinner
The vision taking is pretty interesting because while we have 3 negative examples of people suffering from having their vision taken we also have examples of people being unaffected It started the theory that visions can have negative effects and people who use them may end up obsessed with their goals and go through withdrawal without them One of the people who lost his vision was living in a village waiting years for a person he loved to come back, after he lost his vision he forgets about her and he wants to leave the village, when he gets his vision back he still wants to leave but also look for her, losing his vision got him to realise he was wasting his life The other is a samurai that burried all his guilt and it all came flooding out when he lost his vision, because of it he got to make up with a fellow student he defeated
Maybe you should react to every version trailer, they show a lot of things about the history of the game, the characters and some mechanics. And the music is just chef's kiss
I think you should also watch all the archon quest cutscenes. Off the top of my head the best ones are signora’s death, shenhe/yunjin opera, jade chamber fights - especially the 2nd one, nahida vs scaramouche, dance of sabzeruz, nahida purifying the tree, pretty much all of Fontaine’s cutscenes! Also patch trailers are a great way to get the story in pacing similar to playing the game through. Glad you seem to be interested in the game! There’s a TON of hidden lore and the combat is excellent :)
i find the fact that each archon has their own unique personal flaw such a good move by hoyo, they're not these "perfect god beings" that we're used to seeing and expecting, they all have a major flaw.
Actually, Venti could be far more powerful than it seems to be. He hides pretty much everything he knows from the traveler. It is speculated that he knew his gnosis will be stolen and he kinda "gave it" to Signora. He is such and interesting character that is overlooked very often.
@@ardnvfx3554real. I wished these players don't play genshin bcus genshin Is a story based game, if they can't read it's not a game for them. They should've just played games they are used to or is personally their type instead of complaining that there is "too much dialogue" and so many things every update. While criticism is valid and I have so many things to say about genshin, it is by no means a horrible game. It is good, but with flaws. @@rainl4750 tbf some of the dialogue *is* really stretched out too much. And some people like other aspects of the game like collecting characters and what not which is valid. @@squidhatonaglobe4030by "the dialogue is really stretched" you mean paimon saying stuff over and over? Well you see, paimon repeats herself many times because she is aware that genshin players suck at reading & comprehension. She hopes that by repeating maybe they will remember something
@@Andre-0207 not just paimon, but the way other characters drag on and on and on. Like that one artist fontain npc u gotta take pictures for ur commission. There is a theory that Venti actually allowed his gnosis to be stolen as an excuse to get rid of it. The other archons after all had a reason to let go of theirs, but Venti didn't. 😅

Honestly, given how willing every archon has been so far to throw away their gnosis at the earliest opportunity, you get the feeling the Tsaritsa massively overprepared for this, and could have just asked instead of going the "I'll build a whole evil organisation to make convoluted plots to steal them" route.
I always love watching your Genshin Impact reactions Patterrz, genshin lore is one thing but GENSHIN THEORIES is just insane and I can't recommend all of Weis Genshin theories enough!!! Hes hilarious and you'll love it lol
21:29 The Geo Archon and Anemo Archon (bard boy) have ruled as their nations' gods for over 6000 years. Zhongli earned his retirement 🤣 (Edit: I know Venti doesn't technically "rule" his people, but he's still an archon. I was only counting the ones who've been Archon ever since the Archon War.)
Well, technically Ei is as old as Makoto but only became an archon after her sister's dead, so we dunno who's older between Ei and Venti, even tho Venti's been an archon for longer
Ahhh i just can't wait for you to go over Fontaine! It legit has my favourite story out of all of them, the best written archon and characters overall to be honest ( Furina and Neuvillette are just...perfectly written, and all the others are really intriguing! )
A few things were not explained the best they could, like for one Stormtrrror just attacked when you arrived, the way she said it (wording) made it sound like he did so often. Also the fatui have 1 more gnoses than she says because the leader of them is the cryo archon, also skipped a few things in Inazuma like when we met Sara before and the meeting with Gorou happened on their camp which we found through saving Teppei when we first meet that we found in between Yashiori and Tatarasuna, the camp itself was situated on Yashiori.
A minor thing to note about the vid is that Minsleif attempts to pronounce proper names more authentic to their language of origin compared to how you'd actually hear it in the English dub, which is more loosely approximated. I'm guessing she does this because of how people in the fandom sometimes get annoyed with how the English dub (and by extension, other players) mispronounce proper names and other terms from foreign languages; like how Fischl (and Oz's) German is mispronounced, or how the English dub pronounces "Tighnari." If I'm not mistaken the dubs (this includes other languages like Japanese) make these changes to make it easier for players to pronounce. One of the recent examples of this in the Japanese dub is how "Wriothesley" is read as リオセスリ (Riosesuri), which is very different from the actual English pronunciations E.g. - She pronounces "Mondstadt" with a German accent, "Mond-shtat"; while the dub reads it as "Mawnd-stat" in an American accent - Pronouncing "Tighnari" with an Arabic ghayn sound, "Tagh-na-ri"; the dub says "Tie-nari" (like I mentioned before, there was a bit of a kerfuffle in the fandom about pronouncing this specific name). - Pronouncing "Dehya" as "Di-hya"; dub says "Dee-ya" with a silent H - Pronouncing "Fontaine" with a French accent, "Fon-ten"; dub uses the Anglicised "Fon-tayn" etc Her pronunciation isn't perfect for all of them (and neither is the dub's), e.g. "Rukkhadevata" in Pali is pronounced "ruk-kHa-DE-va-TAA" (the "kha" might be approximated as "ka" in some languages like Sinhala) while her and the dub approximate it as "RU-ka-de-VA-ta". But getting it a bit wrong isn't something to get up in arms about lol. Canonically there is a common tongue spoken in Teyvat, so you could imagine the characters would probably get pronunciations wrong too (I remember Paimon complains about how difficult it is to pronounce the Aranara's language) And regarding the Gnosis count at the end of each chapter in the vid, it's the number of Gnoses acquired by the Fatui from foreign Archons. Since the Fatui works for Snezhnaya's Cryo Archon, the Tsaritsa, they would already be in possession of her Cryo Gnosis. So by the end of the Sumeru storyline the Fatui would have 5/7 Gnoses in total instead of just 4
I don't think she did it just because people would get mad, lol. I think partly was because it's just respectful to at least TRY to pronounce it the way it's intended to be pronounced.
youre probably one of the best reactors regarding genshinstuff that ive seen? i feel a lot of reactors seem to have issues keeping up with some of the details (i started getting lost myself ay the summary around late sumeru-fontaine) but you do a good job of processing all the info that aside, id certainly like reactions in regards to: "that damn alchemist" gold from the earlier half of the video, our friend who created evil dragons, and also presumably unicorns(??) and human homunculi. We learn a bit about this outside the main story but its relegated to time gated event quests and world quests. Also any lore in regards to Scaramouche/Wanderer but thats because hes my favourite character. His backstory is personally quite interesting to me-- as is the backstory of all the fatui harbingers, actually. Tartaglia, Il Dottore, Signora, etc.
This is a really nice development from the last Genshin reaction I've watched from you. I've seen that you are more curious after the trailer and demos, so I really appreciate how you're throwing your own guesses. You're quickly understanding the key points of the game, impressive! And yeah no those Fatui Harbingers are getting every Gnosis handed on a silver platter, and no one is stopping them. Maybe there's a good reason👀
Even though, in main story solely Fatui look like bad guys, and you may want to stop them from collecting all the Gnosis, but when you look at the whole picture as in almost everything that we know about Celestia and what they did with some of the nations in Teyvat, you'll start asking yourself "Are they (Fatui) really the bad guys here?". Developers did really great job with greying almost everything. There is almost no absolute evil that you encounter, all the stories that we saw throughout our journey and things that were done may look like evil from one perspective and done for good from the other. Even out all of the Harbingers that we've met in the game so far I can only name one truly evil and it is Dottore. From what I understand, he is too greedy when it comes to knowledge and will do ANYTHING to get it. Next will be what considered as spoilers about harbingers, so yeah: Tartaglia is a family guy. The most important thing for him is his family. Even though he is a battle maniac, he does not go and kill every living thing on his path, he is thirsting to fight those who is as strong as he is, or stronger. In one of the events he casually befriends one of the characters in Inazuma, chating with her, what gifts he should buy for his siblings as souvenirs. His quest is even all about family, particularly, his brother, who somehow managed to get to Liyue, to see his big brother. He even invites us to visit his home to eat borsch and do winter fishing on ice (I dunno how to name this correctly). He generally thinks of us as a friend and a sparing buddy. Scara is basically an abandoned child (and here we see one of the many grey things: the one who left him alone, thinks that she did it with good intentions, to let him be free and be and do what he wants, while Scara saw that freedom as if she did not want him anymore and threw him away like a useless thing), who later was manipulated and twisted by Dottore in what we saw in the main story. Signora lost her family, lover and many friends in the great calamity and she was devasted and consumed by hated towards the gods. In her wish of killing all the monsters by herself she literally turned her own body into flames, thus earning the name Crimson Witch. But those flames were consuming her from the inside, and she would be dead if one the first Fatui harbingers did not find her. Later Tsaritsa (cryo archon and the head of the Fatui) gave her cryo delusion, which calmed down the flames and saved her life, and Signora joined the Farui. Apart form Venti (which i think she has personal deslike towards, because she was from mondstadt and partially balmes anemo archon for the deaths of her loved ones) she did not attemp to fight Zhongli or Raiden to get the Gnosis, instead she negotiated with them (or wanted to with Raiden if not for MC, lol) Lastly, Arlecchino is the most mysterious at the moment. Apart from the assassination attempt of hydro archon in the main story (I know it sounds like a big deal, but looking at everything that happend in fontein, it was nothing, lol), we dont have any reason to consider her an enemy at the moment, and even more, we were, in some essence, allies this time with Fatui and were working togethere almost through all the fontein arc. All in all, she was genuinely concerned about fontein's fate, with the profecy becoming true, and wanted to safe her home and especially her kids from the orphanage (or at least i want to believe that she truly cares about her nation and kids from orphanage, because if it turns out, that all this was only a tool for her for different goals (including getting the hydro gnosis) I will instantly lose interest in her as a character, because cold and calculative villian with nother dear to them is kind of a cliche and boring trope at this point). Of course, there is a fact, that all the children raised in the orphanage run by Arle are trained to become fatui soldiers, but we saw so many fatui members who were just people doing their jobs in regular ways, like the guy who got moved from the Mond to Sumeru in dailies, who have relatively normal lives despite being in Fatui ranks. Where would be those kids without orphanage? Starving on the streets, or dead?
The story or the game in one sentence is a twin trying to find there sibiling, then that entire plot point goes away to solve people problems and play minigames, genshins story in a nutshell
not really, the traveller stopped caring about searching for the sibling ages ago after meeting them, now the goal of the traveller is just to explore every nation and find out what the sibling meant by the true nature of this world..
We already know that she is the princess of the abyss and that she won't let us meet her till we are at the end of our journey... So now the traveler just goes around trying to get as much information Abt the world and possibly his sister in all the regions so the sister will aknoledge us having finished the journey and wanting to meet us... Finding her is not the main goal anymore cause even if... She will just leave and we know that
If you really did play the game you'd know we aren't searching for our sibling anymore cause we met them lol. We're trying to go through all the regions to find the "truth" of this world as our sibling said
Great job! I like reaction videos where they pause a lot to talk about what they're seeing. Reaction content gets painted as lazy, but the way this person does it he seems very engaged. Keep up the good work!
So, to explain with Venti, his character values maintaining his cover in Monstadt pretty highly, even wearing a fake vision so that people don't suspect anything. Going by his lore, he most likely could've stopped the Fatui from taking his gnosis, but he would've outed himself doing so. Also with Zhongli, his motivation for resigning wasn't so much for himself, but rather because he wanted to pass the nation on to humans, he believed that the time had come for the citizens of Liyue to decide the path of their own nation, without divine influence.
If you notice, almost all of the legends that you hear about in this game happen nearly 500 years ago. This lines up with the time when our sibling goes on their journey. When Dvalin fought Durin and was poisoned. When Baal died and Ei took over for her. When Rukkhadevata died and Kusanali was born. When Egeria died and Focalors became the hydro archon. Obviously when Khaenri'ah was destroyed by the heavenly principles, and when they then fell silent. All of this and more happening 500 years ago. How long did the traveler sleep in starfell valley? 500 years longer than our sibling.
Title makes me think of that one video that lasts for Lord-knows-how-long, covering ALL Archon Quests up to Sumeru or something. Like, a no commentary gameplay, probably over 50 hours, I think?
If anything you should react to all the Sumeru archon quest cutscenes and story. It’s definitely worth experiencing that one at the very least, especially the dream part and how they defeat the wanderer.
Oh god I really wish you could enjoy the full depth of Albedo and Scaramouche’s story. Too bad those involve limited-time side stories that new players can’t access, tho I believe summaries still exist on TH-cam
Well Scara’s full story is explained in depth in the Inversion of Genesis archon quest and also it’s explained a lot in the Sumeru storyline…sadly Albedo’s story is locked behind the limited events
At this point it actually seems like the fatui are good. 1. Everything we know about the heavinly principle, their opponent is terrible (they caused a curse on humanity, banished outsiders into the world and destroy everyone who questions their methods) 2. All archons gave their vision willingly (it was forced from venti, but judging by the power of archons its unlikely that he got completly overwhelmed by one simple attack. So he most likely let them take it) 3. The god of the fatui is known as the god of love. Considering every other good was know to stay true to their principles its unluckly that the god of love just collects gnosis and whants to kill the heavinly principles for power.
This video really reminds me how much info actually isn't talked about in the main archon quest. We went through the whole story and not a single mention about the sovereigns or the primodial one Even side stories like enkonomiya... An entire region with its own manipulated children sacrificed to the fake sun story.
Nitpicking - after Monstad she wrote that Fatui have one of seven Gnosis - ffs they have two one from Anemo and their own from Cryo of I am missing something? xD (and I play that game)
@trashweaboo3408 that's actually a great observation! Maybe that's why Tsaritsa is trying to gather the other six -- to compensate for the one she lost
inazuma archon quest was amazing people hate it just because they haven't ever experienced things like that in a dangerous country, I get it tho it annoys me some use to put down inazuma era just because they don't vibe with the experience. for me it was impactful and amazingly well delivered
31:21 they almost always attack first and are a problem for the non vision having civilians. Encroaching on cities attacking merchants and there goods, not to mention there a plenty of human enemies anyway. 33:48 it slurps your dreams, as they technically hold information. 34:36 that is not a thing, yet. They mention the loop thing after this point probable. But she just locked there physically. As it is her powering the “internet” she has free access to those slurped dreams (her demo, with all that crazy stuff) and can talk to people or even control them through the terminal. It’s a device people put on their ear btw. 35:42 scales not stone, but kinda
I cannot express how happy I am to see him watch this after seeing him react to the character demos where the chat was almost completely wrong about the lore. I am very happy. Thank you Minsleif and thank you Patterz.
You definitely gotta strap yourself in for the 4.0 stuff, as it has been a rollercoaster of a story to follow. 13:17 The Harbingers are the upper echelon of the Fatui, think of them as the upper management second to the Tsaritsa. 13:59 Visual flare and symbolism. Also she definitely earned that position. 14:25 Work attire drip baby. 14:46 Glaive 15:01 Call back to the character teaser, and what else he did with the thing. 27:20 I mean, she is a soldier through in through, just following orders. So it wouldn’t be until the truth of the unfaithful dealings would she change her stance. 27:54 One word: Trauma. 32:05 Let’s just say it was more than that, given that this video was before 4.0 stuff was launched or when people haven’t gotten too deep into it yet.
@@CarterVanek-uv3owHow was it anticlimatic? The fight with the Narwal was kinda lame, but that wasnt the point of the arc. Also it has a good ending, with every open story string falling into place.
@@Lily-cd6gu But atleast story wise it was still better than Phantiliya, simply because it was hinted at a few times, Phantiliya just straight came out of nowhere like: "Yeah i have that cool body and will fight you for no reason at all just because i was bored"
27:58 the logic behind ei's thinking here was humans already have short life spans compared to other species in teyvat and cant afford to bare any extra losses, and that no one will die on account of having their vision taken while those who have died (like teppei) did so in pursuit of their goals. Ei's idea of eternity is complete and total stasis where nothing changes and nothing is loss, which sounds like a nice thing but in one of miko's voicelines she talks about eternity "I personally think the idea of things staying the same forever is quite beautiful. but thats simply not the way the world works" and "eternity means never letting go of what you already have, but it also means giving up on all other possibilities" the second line is a very accurate description of ei Her own suffering and losses caused her to not want to lose anything again and not want her people to experience it. Her trailer actually hints at her pursuit of eternity and another reason why she pursues it when she says "only through eternity are you closest to the heavenly principles"
One thing that I’d edit from this well-done video is that when Minsleif says “the Fatui has -/7 gnoses” at the end of each country, add 1 to that count because the cryo archon has her own gnosis. As of the end of Fontaine’s AQ, the Fatui have 6/7 gnoses including the cryo archon’s.
You understood it so well! If I just watched this video but didn't play the game I would surely be confused by many tings since there are a lot of strange names for things to remember lol
Zhongli is bad with money since he's always just conjuered money as needed, however since he was planning to give it up, he was practicing (very badly) at being a normal guy. the other thing to keep in mind, Mora is not JUST money. It's used as money, but it's actually crystalized divine power that can bend the fabric of reality when used as a catalyst if you have enough of it. It merely looks like coin because he first became interested in humans, Morax noticed they looked happy exchanging small metal disks with each other, and created Mora in that image to gift to the people he was befriending to reward them for goods and services (and very nearly destroyed their societies in the process, and had to establish Liyue as part of his goal to clean up and bring order to the mess he'd made). And over time, especially after the establishment and rise of Liyue as an economic power, Mora gradually spread around the world and replaced pretty much every other form of currency for general trade. One thing though has always bugged me about the timeline and the gnosis allegedly being needed to make Mora is that he made Mora before the establishment of Liyue, over 1000 years before there even was a Geo Archon to begin with, since Liyue had already existed 3700 years ago, and the archon war didn't start until 2700 years ago, and there were no archon prior to that as Celestia offering up the 7 Authorities was what kicked off the Archon War. So either he can make small amounts of Mora without the Gnosis and having the Gnosis allowed him to drastically scale up the production (but chooses not to, now that he decided to live as a human), or he already possessed the Geo Authority before the archon war and surrendered it to Celestia, before winning it back during the War.
And this was only like a quarter of the lore and story you experience in the game. Besides the archon quest you just reacted to, there’s also character story quest which focuses on a certain character, world quest where you learn about the world and open up new areas to explore along the way, hangout quest where you just hangout with other characters and the only one with multiple endings you can get and time limited event quest which is only available for a certain amount of time so those ones you have no choice but to react to if you decide to play it.

We also can tell that Paimon is from Celestia in some capacity, considering that her clothes matches some of the architecture we find there, i.e. the sleeves matching the plumes atop the pillars of Celestia that you see in the beginning. It's very likely that Paimon was once a god who was overthrown by the Sustainer of the Heavenly Principles, driven to a far weaker form like we see with Xiangling's partner, Guoba (a former cooking god).
But in the end, he did escaped from both the tunnels, and his nightmares. (Check the carvings at the end of the tunnel)
Which quest is this?
@@caitlinmp4679 It's more of a hidden exploration quest than a world quest, but the start of it is located at the hospital in Dar al-Shifa.
Basicly we're going from anarchist germany(Mondstadt) to capitalist china(Liyue) to isolationist japan(Inazuma) to dream-internet india(Sumaru) to rules-lawyer france(Fontaine)
Apparently natlan is demi-dragon tribalism Meso-America
Mondstadt isn't anarchist, the favonian knights are a higher institution people defer to
As soon as he saw ayaka he had no hesitation to say "Princess forehead." 💀
I find it crazy they didnt go in depth for the caribert quest. I mean, there's so much important stuff, but all they said was "its the sibling's memories from the past." They didn't even mention the Loom of Fate or the Sinner
The vision taking is pretty interesting because while we have 3 negative examples of people suffering from having their vision taken we also have examples of people being unaffected
It started the theory that visions can have negative effects and people who use them may end up obsessed with their goals and go through withdrawal without them
One of the people who lost his vision was living in a village waiting years for a person he loved to come back, after he lost his vision he forgets about her and he wants to leave the village, when he gets his vision back he still wants to leave but also look for her, losing his vision got him to realise he was wasting his life
The other is a samurai that burried all his guilt and it all came flooding out when he lost his vision, because of it he got to make up with a fellow student he defeated
Maybe you should react to every version trailer, they show a lot of things about the history of the game, the characters and some mechanics. And the music is just chef's kiss
This is a great idea! It’s a compound way to get the story and the music is sooo good
I think you should also watch all the archon quest cutscenes.
He should react to all character story quests after this! He would learn so much about all the characters.
That would take forever tho
Why react, why just not play?
@ariedits3816 Yeah, he would probably have to do it in parts.
@daniii7544 I'd love to see him play it as well tbh
story quests are crap tf you mean lol

i find the fact that each archon has their own unique personal flaw such a good move by hoyo, they're not these "perfect god beings" that we're used to seeing and expecting, they all have a major flaw.
Actually, Venti could be far more powerful than it seems to be. He hides pretty much everything he knows from the traveler. It is speculated that he knew his gnosis will be stolen and he kinda "gave it" to Signora. He is such and interesting character that is overlooked very often.

There is a theory that Venti actually allowed his gnosis to be stolen as an excuse to get rid of it. The other archons after all had a reason to let go of theirs, but Venti didn't. 😅

Anemo Archon has only ruled 2000+ years
@@patrickstyle24816yeah he's the 2nd oldest but way younger than zhongli

21:21 havent even played that game and u understood that so well, patterz is smart indeed
You havent even scratched the surface of the real lore of genshin
A minor thing to note about the vid is that Minsleif attempts to pronounce proper names more authentic to their language of origin compared to how you'd actually hear it in the English dub, which is more loosely approximated. I'm guessing she does this because of how people in the fandom sometimes get annoyed with how the English dub (and by extension, other players) mispronounce proper names and other terms from foreign languages; like how Fischl (and Oz's) German is mispronounced, or how the English dub pronounces "Tighnari."
If I'm not mistaken the dubs (this includes other languages like Japanese) make these changes to make it easier for players to pronounce. One of the recent examples of this in the Japanese dub is how "Wriothesley" is read as リオセスリ (Riosesuri), which is very different from the actual English pronunciations
E.g.
- She pronounces "Mondstadt" with a German accent, "Mond-shtat"; while the dub reads it as "Mawnd-stat" in an American accent
- Pronouncing "Tighnari" with an Arabic ghayn sound, "Tagh-na-ri"; the dub says "Tie-nari" (like I mentioned before, there was a bit of a kerfuffle in the fandom about pronouncing this specific name).
- Pronouncing "Dehya" as "Di-hya"; dub says "Dee-ya" with a silent H
- Pronouncing "Fontaine" with a French accent, "Fon-ten"; dub uses the Anglicised "Fon-tayn"
etc
Her pronunciation isn't perfect for all of them (and neither is the dub's), e.g. Canonically there is a common tongue spoken in Teyvat, so you could imagine the characters would probably get pronunciations wrong too (I remember Paimon complains about how difficult it is to pronounce the Aranara's language)
And regarding the Gnosis count at the end of each chapter in the vid, it's the number of Gnoses acquired by the Fatui from foreign Archons. Since the Fatui works for Snezhnaya's Cryo Archon, the Tsaritsa, they would already be in possession of her Cryo Gnosis. So by the end of the Sumeru storyline the Fatui would have 5/7 Gnoses in total instead of just 4
There's a reason the game has a disclaimer.
Idk why ppl care so much about pronociation.

I don't think she did it just because people would get mad, lol. I think partly was because it's just respectful to at least TRY to pronounce it the way it's intended to be pronounced.

youre probably one of the best reactors regarding genshinstuff that ive seen? i feel a lot of reactors seem to have issues keeping up with some of the details (i started getting lost myself ay the summary around late sumeru-fontaine) but you do a good job of processing all the info
that aside, id certainly like reactions in regards to: "that damn alchemist" gold from the earlier half of the video, our friend who created evil dragons, and also presumably unicorns(??) and human homunculi.
Wait. If the Fatui are lead by the Ice Archon, shouldn’t they already have one of the Gnosis in their possession at the start of the game?
Exactly
Next will be what considered as spoilers about harbingers, so yeah:
Tartaglia is a family guy.
Apart form Venti (which i think she has personal deslike towards, because she was from mondstadt and partially balmes anemo archon for the deaths of her loved ones) she did not attemp to fight Zhongli or Raiden to get the Gnosis, instead she negotiated with them (or wanted to with Raiden if not for MC, lol)
Lastly, Arlecchino is the most mysterious at the moment.
Yup, basically it
Yes and no, we try to find why our sister joins the dark side
not really, the traveller stopped caring about searching for the sibling ages ago after meeting them, now the goal of the traveller is just to explore every nation and find out what the sibling meant by the true nature of this world..
We're trying to go through all the regions to find the "truth" of this world as our sibling said
"he resigned and didn't have a plan? what is he, david cameron?" i fucking lmao'd

You learned the characters, you learned the lore...
now all thats left is the game itself, Patterz.
The crazy part about this is it cuts out the Archon war, Enknomiya, Aranara, Rheindottier (gold), and sumeru dessert lore (Jeht story quest).
Title makes me think of that one video that lasts for Lord-knows-how-long, covering ALL Archon Quests up to Sumeru or something.
Like, a no commentary gameplay, probably over 50 hours, I think?
After completing the archon quest fountaine act 5 I understand that losing gnosis is not a bad thing, quite the opposite

We all have memes on the archons but venti and zhongli have been ruling their nations for 2700+ years ,
"The dragon was mean and then he was nice" - Sun Tzu
At this point it actually seems like the fatui are good.
1. Everything we know about the heavinly principle, their opponent is terrible (they caused a curse on humanity, banished outsiders into the world and destroy everyone who questions their methods)
2. All archons gave their vision willingly (it was forced from venti, but judging by the power of archons its unlikely that he got completly overwhelmed by one simple attack. So he most likely let them take it)
3. The god of the fatui is known as the god of love. Considering every other good was know to stay true to their principles its unluckly that the god of love just collects gnosis and whants to kill the heavinly principles for power.
The Fatui's methods are pretty evil though.
This video really reminds me how much info actually isn't talked about in the main archon quest.
We went through the whole story and not a single mention about the sovereigns or the primodial one
Even side stories like enkonomiya... An entire region with its own manipulated children sacrificed to the fake sun story.
Nitpicking - after Monstad she wrote that Fatui have one of seven Gnosis - ffs they have two one from Anemo and their own from Cryo of I am missing something? xD (and I play that game)
I agree I don't know why she was ignoring the cryo gnosis either unless she knows something we don't and the Fatui lost the cryo gnosis
There's a chance they actually don't have it considering in the fatui trailer they only showed 2 of the gnoses on the chess board
@trashweaboo3408 that's actually a great observation! Maybe that's why Tsaritsa is trying to gather the other six -- to compensate for the one she lost

27:58 the logic behind ei's thinking here was humans already have short life spans compared to other species in teyvat and cant afford to bare any extra losses, and that no one will die on account of having their vision taken while those who have died (like teppei) did so in pursuit of their goals. Ei's idea of eternity is complete and total stasis where nothing changes and nothing is loss, which sounds like a nice thing but in one of miko's voicelines she talks about eternity "I personally think the idea of things staying the same forever is quite beautiful. but thats simply not the way the world works" and "eternity means never letting go of what you already have, but it also means giving up on all other possibilities" the second line is a very accurate description of ei
Her own suffering and losses caused her to not want to lose anything again and not want her people to experience it. Her trailer actually hints at her pursuit of eternity and another reason why she pursues it when she says "only through eternity are you closest to the heavenly principles"
didn't expect anything watching this video but it's surprisingly fun especially bcs i'm really into genshin's lore
I am so excited! Please do more!
So either he can make small amounts of Mora without the Gnosis and having the Gnosis allowed him to drastically scale up the production (but chooses not to, now that he decided to live as a human), or he already possessed the Geo Authority before the archon war and surrendered it to Celestia, before winning it back during the War.
you now have a better understanding of the lore than the average genshin player lmao
Hilarious ad timing at 10:12 for me. "harbors enmity towards endora, a fellow Oceanid whom she believes "AT BK, HAVE IT YOUR WAY!" LOL.
With this background it would be cool to see you react to the version trailers, they give little glimpses into the story of each patch!
You did such a good job understanding whats going on !
Asking for react consent is pog
Saying Zhongli is really good with money is the funniest thing I've ever heard 😂😂
Not all hilichurls were human. They are another race in Tevat. It's just that victims of the cataclysm were turned into hilichurls
Legit my only problem with Genshin is that it takes so much space, seriously 30 GB for a mobile game is insane, gorgeous game tho
just from the thumbnail i can already tell where you went wrong... you tried to LEARN
27:31 Raiden Shogun's deadly strike, called Musou no Hitotachi (means: "No regard for human life" strike) yeah...
