I'm so thankful I didn't see that portion of the Opening, thanks be to God! How could they just blasphemed The One who is our Creator? May God enlighten those participants in that despicable act & am sure God will forgive them but they need to wait for Judgment Day! Thank you, Father, for helping me remember that Jesus told us to pray for our enemies. I was outraged about the blasphemy of the Last Supper. Then I remembered that the rain falls on the just and the unjust. They need our prayers for they know not what they do. You are a powerful preacher!

Fr. Mike, after 75+ years on this planet, I can say that when I saw the blasphemy at the beautiful Olympics, my heart was broken. Thank you for telling us to say “yes!” Yes to faith, yes to charity, yes to hope and yes to Jesus. As twisted as this act is, we can not go to anger because then they (whomever they/them may be) WIN. Fr. Mike, I am so grateful that you are not afraid to talk about world events and our faith in your sermons. I've heard you say things that will stay with me forever, giving me encouragement to go on. The evil we are seeing is tiresome, but just like the light of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart which was the only building in Paris to remain illuminated during the blackout, we have moments of joy and confirmation that keep us going. In faith.
Can you imagine them mocking Islam or any other religion like that? Never! They're really cowards in that regard. They mock Christ and His followers because , as Bishop Barron says, " they know who their enemy is." I pray for them and for the many who don't know Jesus. I pray for their conversion.

I am French and I am sickened by how shocking some moments of the ceremony were. There was no public consultation on the content of the ceremony. All that rain on Paris for the opening ceremony was God’s tears on the whole spectacle! A bad omen. And I agree that the organisers would have never dared mocking Islam the way they do Christianity. Very coward and very sad!

The monsignor barked at my 14 year old daughter while she knelt to receive the Holy Eucharist because her AMEN was to soft. I told my upset daughter to pray for him. We need to pray for everyone 🙏

Why would PF have any outrage about this? He's approving of it. He allowed drag queens to dance and strut their privates in front of children at the Vatican!
