Wasn’t really expecting much from this show since most anime adaptations of video games never live up to the source material, but so far I really think that they’re doing a great job with this. It just sucks that the constant delays and the horrific CGI is stopping this show from becoming nearly perfect. Anyways, I really enjoyed the style of this video + the edits! Hopefully I’m still alive before A2 makes more of an appearance in the anime. Also gonna need to see more 2B ass.
It's really hard to convey the time commitment that games take into any sort of film. Which to people who played the games, makes it feel like the show glossing over everything. I started on this script back in May, I thought they'd at least have a few episodes out by now, I just hope it doesn't get canned :/
I think it was a realy good recap capturing the essence of nier in 12 episodes. Though the cgi was noticable i can say that for cg it looked pretty good. In the future when more tools will be availabe this will change and cg wont irritate people anymore. At least thats what i hope
The cg is a bit clunky but otherwise serviceable. Everything else is great. The anime tells an altered version of the original story, now that the second half is finally out. Initially I didnt want a rehash of existing story and wanted some of the side stories in the novellas to be animated, but the anime did a good job expanding on and innovating new elements of the og plot imo. Edit: swimsuit jackass was kinda dumb lol but whatever
This was a pretty great video all things considering. Just seen Part 2s first episode and it was great. I’m going to watch one more of your video before I decide to subscribe. +1 for including sseth
Have not watched the show all the way through, just the first episode. But its a weird reminder to see bad cg in Anime now when a few have done it so well recently. Chainsaw Man and Trigun: Stampede have both shown just how good CG can be when done well.
I'd probably wait till the final episode comes out just so you can actually get a full experience. Ep8 literally ends on a cliffhanger so its current state is mildly infuriating
The show has potential but that’s about it. The show could do so much with the games themes and even flesh out some of the side quests but they barely have time to tell the story of the game. It’s disappointing to say the least

I never bought nier become i don't have a pc with gpu (only played with 720p/lower) but i always keep eye on nier price. 😂 They put a 50% sale just when the anime was delayed. Also in one of anime tweet they posted Jackass swimsuit and said, " To see more biy your copy " total funny. The game barely has Jackass and swimsuit is just anime stuff. The game Ending E can not be completed without online support ( they also planned for the piracy ). But, NieR is good and amazing. I hope to buy it and i think many people too. It's a masterpiece even if it's annoying stuffs. Thanks you for video. You must have edit worked a lot.
? Replicant outsold the original by like 3-4 times now? And automata keeps selling like half a million copies a year and is one of squares best selling games ever…the games aren’t the issue, it’s wtfever is happening at Aniplex and the anime industry

IMO There's only one anime adaptation that doing better than the game itself it's Tales of Zestria

It feels like they're using anime to encourage people to buy nier and try it.
