I have a lot of mutables modules , braids , warps , clouds , peak and it’s all brilliant and above the rest in terms of quality, versatility and creativity , I’m just sad mutable has stopped
3:16 Aah man! Pure ear candy. What a lush Juno-esque sound😊🎶. Is it possible to route audio through te filter? Actually i'm waiting for a good (stand alone) filter from Behringer, that would be great!
It looks amazing. I'll get one for sure. However, I wish it would be polyphonic. I know we can chain it to get the polyphony but... I wanted this a tiny desktop beast that takes up no space instead of having to chain it. 🙃
Just think in terms of height instead of width. Stack em' and then you have insane control that you wouldn't have with a smaller all-in-one with the same footprint
Monofreak. I'll keep my microfreak, it's got paraphony, unison, sample playback, granular, user uploaded wavetables, a vocoder, better arp/sequencer, and extra oscillator types like bass/sawx that you can't find in plaits/brains, and an insanely powerful mod matrix. I'm disappointed at some of the missed opportunities i see in the grinds input selection for it's semi modular section. That's not to say this is bad. I'm almost tempted to get it for the filter. I say this is a very fantastic synth and it would be crazy to expect it to do everything a microfreak can for only 200 bucks. A very very nice synth for the money.
@@Jason75913 I doubt too, I think that all the audio chain is mono, but the two Plaits outs are available in the outs sections of this Grind, so it can be possible to go stereo directly from the Plaits, so I think that the main Plaits out is what goes to the audio chain (VCF-VCA) and if you want to use the other Plaits out, you can mix externally using the out 2, but without VCF and VCA. Hahahah, rally I don't know, just a very nerd speculation.
You get only one note to play at a time unless you switch to the chord oscillator. No manual chords. If you want something you can play polyphonically, you need a Deepmind or Pro-800 at this time, as far as Behringer. They will have JP8000, Jupiter8, and Polysix clones later, to add to their list of polysynths.
@@Jason75913 i had a feeling (oooohoooooo). Shame. This format is the only thing i support and ive really been hoping for a minifreak in a compact rackmount form. Already have a pro800. Big fan. Wish theyd release a deepmind 6 in this smaller format.

It's definitely a step in the right direction, I think. Looks fun to use and sounds it too. More digital wild styles. The analog synth market is saturated and played out
I genuinely don't think I have been more excited for a new synth. I love everything about it.
This is the perfect synth. LOVE it. You guys are just killing it. You make the synth world fun and exciting.
and accessible
It looks great! I love the digital way in synths! :)
So that's basically Mutable Instruments Plaits with analog filter and sequencer from Crave. Not bad idea, i like this product line..
Same here ! The Crave and Edge are very nice synths. And this one seems to go further and offer a wide sound palette. But what about the Spice ?
@@eldontyrellcorpthe Spice got announced around the time the Edge got released, so fingers crossed the same is about to happen here.

I was going to pre-order it, but I clicked the notify when in stock button and will hopefully be hearing from them soon
Why does the rain engine sound more like a JP8000 than the actual supersaw engine?
Yeah 😅

Not only Behringer making awesome stuff, their review game is top notch. You get to know the hardware inside out and in details.
Does anybody know if it's possible to route external audio through the GRIND like the EDGE or CRAVE?

The Modal SKULPT is a good option for polyphony on a budget. Every time I sit down with mine, I find new functions that I didn't know were possible.
