Thanks for the video.❤The plant becomes root bound in winters isn't it better to remove some roots in spring season.I did this to amaryllis lily n they are doing well.
You are most welcome! Sure, it's always a good idea to separate them if we can and we have more space. But, I wanted lots of flowers in a single pot..he he..n so didn't divide them :-) Glad to know about your Amaryllis, great work!
Sure, you can plant...but problem is, only the matured bulbs bloom. Even if you get a sapling (which of course has a small bulb attached with it), it's going to take many days to be matured. That is why, it would be difficult to get the bloom in the next year. They are just like Lilies. The mother bulb produces new bulbs. Eventually, those baby bulbs get matured in time and they bloom. I hope, I have answered your question. Thank you and if you still have any questions, please let me know.
Hello sir I too have this plant and leaves are growing well but why the flowers are not coming. I’ve planted it in June month nd it’s 2 months now?? What would be the reason ??
When the bulbs are not matured enough, they produce leaves. Matured bulbs always produce bloom first and then only leaves. If you keep caring for them (not much, just timely water and applying fertilizer once a month would be enough), then bulbs should get matured by the next year and you should get the blooms. Please note - in winter, leaves may dray out and it's normal. That time, cut down on watering and fertilizer. They would start to grow themselves as soon as Spring arrives. All the best!
