Just realized i misplayed slightly @ the 28:24 mark. After i literally talked about the pebble rule in yugioh about how you cannot over pay for a ritual summon by using more tributes than required i ritual summon slayer using not only revenants but also core and a striges which was an illegal play as using revenants and striges alone wouldve already met the requirements to properly summon slayer i cannot use core as well. This can be remedied by summoning houndhorde instead of revenants as houndhorde is a level 3 and 3+1+2 makes 6 or just forgoe using core assuming you want the reventans effect. My apologies for the misplay.
With the amount of disrespect this deck gets from other yugitubers, I must say, this was an outstanding demonstration of Vendread! Been playing the deck religiously on MD and it's nice to see someone give an honest yet decent description that comes from knowledge and experience. Also hard agree with the issue of no starters, I've harped on this for so long and it's nice see someone call that out too and bring awareness to others. Loved this and the deck profile, and it's breathtaking to see a yugitubers focus less on meta stuff without being on some annoying hype (team samurai). Keep up the good work fam!
Thank you so much for the kind words! I work really hard to bring unique content to the channel! I try to venture out and cover things most people won't. I was very disappointed with a lot of the vendread content I was seeing, so I decided to make my own.
Thanks to the new set SUDA, we finally got our Vendread starter (Dark Necromancer) and a nice foolish for Zombies (Curse of the Pyramid Turtle). This helped me understand the decks combos better so when I can play out hands and know what to do. Good job on this can't wait for you to revisit Vendreads in the future.
@u.a.perfectace7786 oh yes I saw the support and I literally almost cried when I read the cards lmao we finally have a zombie starter that actually helps us access our engine and isn't just a generic foolish like uni or gozuki.
@@OblivionDragma sounds like a pile forsure. Ashened is cool and has alot of extension but there's no real payoff for playing them imo at least yet anyway. They definitely need more cards. Black hole dragon is cool but kind of gimmicky. And zombies are obviously good but you may be able to find a better shell than ashened to use them with.
The deck is pretty nonlinear, but I feel like these lines are overreliant on bringing out slayer, which is pretty weak imo. I think you should integrate battlelord into your strategy as he gtrayly increases tye combo ceiling and can turn off handtraps early on. Consistency is an issue, but you can end on masq, appo, lord, with followup. Cards like executor and anima are too unreliable imo. The diviner combo is cool, but I prefer gozuki as he is more fluid and can banish spiridao or mazera to extend. Going for beatrice is nice, and at least two scar so you dont banish anything inportant for his revice effect. Overall, I like the thought process in valuing consistency, but I dont think ending on slayer is necessary.
While new combos are nice, I really want more actual Vendread Cards. We still need a proper Boss Monster as while Executor is pretty tough, he's still lacking in some areas, mainly his attack points are still low enough to where he can be run over by something stronger and even with power bolster by things like Core, Anima and Revenant he's a far cry from the ultimate Vendread card.
Yea the archetype as a whole needs alot of help still but I did what I could with what we had. You'll be hard pressed to find better combos elsewhere. Alot of other vendread videos just really aren't that helpful.
@@Nickscruiser I'm just wondering if Vendreads will get more support or if Kononami is already done with them cause that would suck. I mean with all the RE monsters, so many creatures they could make. Plants, Insects, Reptiles, Sharks, not to mention Wesker and others, so much left.
@thefanwithoutaface8105 I could see vendread getting more support in the future but probably not for some time. To be fair we haven't seen f.a. support in even longer and they came out at the same time vendread did.
vendread be like 2 card combo with 2 cards on the board, meanwhile fire kings be like 0,5 or 1 card full combo with multiple omni negates and big shit on the field ._.
