  • “When you return to your Self, this is called awakening, liberation, freedom. Having known your Self you know everything. In the awakening, the whole universe is discovered to be within yourself. All universes are within you, and you are the universe. This is ultimate understanding.”
    A seeker after truth for his whole life, Sri Poonjaji, affectionately called Papaji, met his Master, Ramana, in 1942. Papaji left his body on September 6, 1997.

    "You arrive here alone. You will die here alone. Follow no one." So true. Your "friend" leaves? Let them leave. Do not follow. Life comes to you. Don't go after Life. You don't need to.

    He's correct in saying it requires no effort to be what one is, but it certainly requires effort to shed what one is not. That's because the whole society, our parents, education propagate illusions about what we are. They become such strong habitual tendencies that often we don't even recognize them as habits. And it ain't easy to let go of such habits...

      It's not effort. It is instant when you see it . Krishamutri also said that the things which you have gathered that are not you have to be removed with one single stroke,on realization, instantly. When you make effort to shed you create another "me" which must shed stuff. It's a loop .

    • @yacovmitchenko1490
      @yacovmitchenko1490 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@redpower24You can respect Krishnamurti - but true respect also entails letting go of Krishnamurti and what you've read or heard, and actually observing what happens. The fact is that some effort is initially required, so that what happens later appears effortless. One can observe a similar phenomenon with good artists. In the beginning there's effort involved in developing and honing one's craft. After some diligent application, and given requisite talent, one tends to produce quality work - as though without effort, as though naturally, and with increasing frequency. Or the ballet dancer, if you like, becomes the dance, the ego being dropped with the audience being awestruck by the beauty of the dance. I'd say both the play of effort and effortlessness is actually what takes place in life. Krishnamurti himself had to undergo austerities early on. I'm sure much of it was quite demanding and required tremendous energy. So don't be so caught up in what Krishnamurti said and observe what actually happens in life; don't repeat what you've heard or read, but observe life.

    • @yacovmitchenko1490
      @yacovmitchenko1490 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@redpower24 Another rather common misunderstanding is to suppose that the "ego" runs counter to, or is incompatible with, seeing or realization. What begins as ego-prompted effort (in many cases) can undergo a subtle, radical transformation. Maybe part of the problem stems from the inadequacies of language to convey the gist of this point. It's the intellect that sets up the dichotomy between "ego" and realization; these are just concepts, inventions of the mind. There's one process - involving frequently the purification of obscuring factors or negative habits, maybe seeing through them. But in the beginning it's never easy, and as I've suggested in the other comments, we have long-standing habits. So seeing, while not impossible in the beginning, is still the exception in such cases rather than the norm.

    honesty I think he is the best one ive seen who is sitting up front with this I don't know way they always do something that makes them seem special or something like what he is sitting in front of but I seriously hear that he is actually not being a teacher he is saying you are the teacher he is the student but he doesn't dress up some mysterious voice and way of making it seem like it's something that it's not because he is telling you the truth that before you were born and became life you came from being alone and nothing and when we die we have to go back to shed body mind memories so time and space don't exist because you are projecting everything you experience with your eyes and then when we sleep we are the same thing in the dream world because we are projecting the experience and in dreams it's totally weird and we don't wake up when we are going through it because we are totally there and don't attach anything to anything going on. I seriously liked when he said no one has said this because they are marketing their status by wording everything so attractive like mooji or whatever and that old one Oshie or something like that but my point is they have methods and basically teaching you and they might start it from the most pure place and only want to help but they always let themselves become guru or teacher and people who are obviously so totally lost to spend so much money to basically worship them like they are something special more than us when it's supposed to be teaching their is only one not me and you... but they always don't do it but this guy is doing it right away for me because he said he is the student when you come to him because he doesn't exist because there is no other.. honestly I think he is the most honest one because he is telling you that the goal is loosing everything you know period. basically don't exist and you will see he is being real and not making a enlightened and very totally mystical way all the spiritual people who are teaching yoga and meditation but they are becoming a person who is basically just ripping people off but this guy tells you forget don't ask for knowledge because that's the thing we are still adding to our ego and we are not even real because we are just teaching they are the answers and they are teaching you but they don't teach you they confuse and this guy is clearing it up.. shed everything you are and have been and time and space don't exist and therefore you are alone and this is the goal of meditation to me not learning.. its unlearning but more of them are teaching not taking away and he is taking away

    Might be a bit “woo woo” to say, but I have had an experience of “quietness” while on magic mushrooms.
    I had an overwhelmingly potent dose, and was going through pretty much insanity. My memories were entirely obliterated. I had a moment where I thought, what do I know? What CAN I understand?
    And the only thing I knew, was that I knew nothing. And suddenly, the world stilled. I saw everything from a lense of perfect clarity. I realized that any thoughts detracted from this experience.
    I went up to my friends who were sober, and tried my best to communicate my new understanding.
    At first I tried just talking about it, but I realized that my words were just another thought in theirs.
    I ended up just stating their names to get their attention, and threw my arms out, gesturing at the environment. They thought I was crazy.
    This talk helped me remember much of the insight that I had gained on that fateful day. Now I only hope to achieve the same thing again.

      This doesn't sound woo-woo at all, Weston. It sounds like you've been offered an experience of y/our true nature. Many people report blessings like this with plant medicines. I imagine it touched your heart deeply. Now you can nourish this sacred experience with a meditation practice, and learning from the masters, such as Papaji, Mooji, Byron Katie, and countless others. Blessings on your journey home.

    this is the ultimate direct method for those who have experienced much of samsara & are yearning so intensely. Without intense yearning somehow does not happen because there are karmas to fulfill & desires to be burnt, experiences to acquire. I love Papaji deeply & met Ganga Mira in Bali - she was Papaji’s female twin flame

    Ram dass said something about how in the end it’s exactly what you thought it wasn’t, it’s very mundane, it’s so simple. Within it woohoo spirituality and science are one and the same, neither touches it, no concept. And wow, been meditating a lot recently, really being honest with myself and doing the work to come into myself, and have sort of reached this state, for very small moments, but just now, I became awareness and my mind was goin nuts and terrified about wtf was happening and started thinking about losing my mind, about work tomorrow, and I let myself attach to it, fear brought me back down, but it was just nothing, yet everything, so simple, had the thought of, do I cry now or what? My body and idea of self just had no idea of what to do, was expecting that moment to be a firework and a great release, and I’d cry ecstatic tears, like going through a tournament building it all up then winning the World Cup or something, but no it was right there, a complete empty everythingness. I could not let go and let myself die though, so here I am writing this because my mind just got blown and is now trying to make sense, which is fine, I know that I am, and what is, is most fine. Fuck u papaji, and love u too, duality has no grip on reality. But also, love you and Thankyou
