exactly he's a lying scum bag, the whole of labour has been hijacked and the true socialists have been politically assassinated , NHS has been dead for years its not something that's just happened... That being said Kier is also a red Tory at heart he's clueless about the working class, and they have done nothing to reverse the Tories frankly crap policies... He's getting ready to target disabled people next , they are gonna be the next scape goat just like pensioners. The whole lot of them are living in a different rich kids world to the rest of us and especially us lot up north... I voted Labour for years just as my grandparents did but todays Labour are not our Labour party for the first time i voted Green party at this latest election cos they are the only ones who are truly centre left. I was remembering my grandparents this morning. In early 1970's , I was a teenager, they lived in a terraced house without a bathroom, with an outside loo, mains tap water but also a hand pump to draw rain water from a cistern buried in the yard. Having replaced coal with a gas fire they thought they were well off. That was primitive at the time, they had lived in that house since they married in the 1920's. The left and Labour think I should be paying compensation to the third world countries that were part of the British empire because my ancestors exploited them. This idea shows Labour have no idea of who or what the working class are, they are another generation of spoilt rich kids, almost identical to the Tories.

Arguably, Labour and the Tories are the same party just with different leaders and a different colour rosette. This government has done nothing to dissuade me from this view. Basically there agenda is as follows: more money for Israel and Ukraine; austerity and and neoliberalism at home.

They were never the party of the working man, that is only what the news media called them.
Labour destroyed industries in the 1970’s, closed more coal mine than the Tories, putting millions out of work.
They promised the unions pay rises that were unsustainable, so they went on strike, lying to the workers.
Notice this time the unions getting every thing they want.
Then in the 1990’s-2000 they went against the worker again with zero hour contracts, which was the start of food banks, they started going after those on benefits and the sick and ill after opening the borders to let 265,000 in to the uk claiming for themselves and people not even in the uk and have never been in the uk. Sent out a government directive to all councils to house immigrants and foreigners instead of putting British people first. Which is still in place today. Forcing British people into private renting instead of immigrants and foreigners. The influx of immigrants and foreigners kept wage low to the point they still have not caught up today with the cost of living.
Then they sold our gold at a world record low, so low that it has only ever gone up since.
Which then sent the uk into a hard recession, costing millions of working class people their homes. An let’s not forget how labour runs up debt, they did it in the 1970’s, they did it in the 1990-2000 and they are doing it now in 2024.

It is not North and South divide. It is social class. People should realise this! People of working class, especially those on very low incomes are getting just as much a rough deal down here as their northern counterparts. Equally, the rich and wealthy of the North are just as likely to oppress and look down on the people lower down as those in the south. People need to understand that it is a class issue not which part of the country you happen to live in. Just because the Government is based in London, does not mean ALL southerners are getting a better deal than the northerners. I live in London myself, and have been unemployed for several years since my redundancy and not through lack of trying to get work, but because there are not enough jobs to go round here as well as everywhere else. People just don't understand. I am among the very poor in London.

The very first UK prime minister was educated at Eton. In the UK, we've had 20 prime ministers from Eton College and 30% of the prime ministers we've had since 1955 have been 'educated at Eton. Eton's capacity is only 1340 pupils and currently, it costs approximately £50K a term. Therefore, our political system is simply an exclusive club for the privileged who have absolutely no idea or interest in the lives of ordinary people. Ultimately your vote means nothing.

@@MrTangolizardEton doesn't educate its students in subjects that really matter to the people and the world. It's just a social club where everyone there learns how to keep their inherited wealth and forms connections with other wealthy people. The majority of prime ministers who have been to Eton are as thick as tar and are only interested in the job because it comes with the power to grow their own personal wealth and their Eton friends. That's why nothing ever changes regardless of who is PM.
The only way anything will change is if there are consequences for the PMs who lie and cause damage to the nation. I believe there should be an annual review vote for the nation who gets to punish the PM for any lies told and strip him/her of their position and wealth.

Can I just say to the lady that thinks it’s the north south divide, people in the south don’t think we are better than people ‘up north’. We don’t think about it at all! It’s only a thing for people in the north. In just the same way as many Brits think there is a special relationship with the US. There isn’t if you ask any Yank. People from the south of the UK don’t judge others by the region they come from. That is a northern thing. Everyone I meet from Yorkshire is obsessed by where people come from. They actually think people from Yorkshire are better than others! I say to them Peter Sutcliffe! 😜

@@judithmorganjudyteen I totally agree that is a perception Judith. And I have heard many claim Westminster is in its own London bubble. But the true whole picture is complex. The financial services sector, based in London paid over 110 billion pounds in Tax last year. So just one industry in London contributed over 12% of the total GDP for the UK. People in the south east pay the most in income tax, with London second. I am in no way defending any government, but differences in regions are complex and people’s perceptions don’t always reflect that. By the way, I live in Wales, where the people contribute far less than they take out.
