Yeah, but he ages like a dog in the main series. If he continued to age at that speed, and this is like 10 years in the future, there's a pretty good chance that he's dead. He may be alive, but everything seems to point to him being dead.
This episode as an entirety made me so happy with Marceline showing her growth by not pushing Princess Bubblegum away like what happened in the flashback, but going so far as to have her bass destroyed but still determining that PB was more significant than revenge over that. It added to the sweetness factor. Choose goose was a nice little cameo xD
In the episode "Sky Witch", Marceline keeps chasing after Hambo and ditches PB several times. PB didn't think Hambo was worth finding, but she ends up having to look out for Marceline, and trades her most valued possession - Marceline's old tshirt - to get Hambo back. She doesn't tell Marceline what transpired. It was nice to see, in parallel, Marceline NOT going full revenge when her bass smashed, and instead she goes to find PB because that's more important. PB, in contrast to Sky Witch, also reacted with shock when she found out the bass was destroyed because she knows Marcie loves it.
@@tipsy634 I know it's 2 years late but I've never thought of it that way. That's really cool, especially since it ties back to the shirt reveal at the end, leads me to believe it was a very intentional parallel.
I think 5-10 years passed because Finn looks like he's still young. Like in his mid-twenties. And Simon was already 47 in the episode Simon and Marcy. Because he said "You may no longer terrify a 47 year old man and a 7 year old girl!" So in this episode, Simon is around 57-62 (if we don't include his years as Ice King) because Marcy was no longer 7 when Simon left. She was probably 12-13 already, so Simon was probably 52 already when he fully became Ice King. In conclusion, Simon looks like he's in his twenties when he's already 60. 👁️👄👁️

Michaela Dietz (Amethyst’s VA) did Glass Boy, which is probably the closest we can get to Adventure Time and Steven Universe crossover. This was a great!
Okay, I really want the next one to open with Finn and Jake being like, "Isn't it cool that we got matching tattoos of each other?" And Jake was just out of town or something when they went to save Marceline and Bonnie.
Holy shit I wasn't the only one who literally blinked once and missed Glass Boy escaping prison. Also, mother of glob this episode is easily one of the best things this franchise ever produced!
My theory after seeing these first 2 specials is that they will all be at very different time periods and when pieced together will fill all of the missing gaps with finn and jake's story, At the end of BMO we finally got to see how they met BMO, at the end of Obsidian we get to see what finn is like farther in the future (5-10 years), I have a feeling the next special will take place almost immediately after Come along with me, so we will probably see both finn and jake together in the end, and obviously the final episode you can guess based on the synopsis but it will probably take place in between the 3rd special and Obsidian. That or they just have included Finn and Jake in these episodes as a framing device to clue the audience in on the time period of the episode, which is also completely reasonable... ALSO shoutouts to them including bronwyn in this for no particular reason, she was one of my favorite of the pups so its cool shes still skating around...
8:34 i dont think we are that far into the timeline yet, the original show ended in most likely the year 3017, and since this is 10 or 15 years from that i think this takes place in 3027 or 3032

Yup, I agree with you, even though I liked the BMO special, it felt more like it's own compacted mini movie with some references to the original AT and... Well I guess the fact that I don't feel a strong emotional connection to BMO other than him being funny and cute, made the episode kinda uneventful to me, yeah sure it was fun and we got some interesting lore details but in the great scheme of things I think it didn't really left an impact to AT, except maybe that last scene with Finn and Jake, but even then we just got to see them at the very end and they didn't even speak. Obsidian was so much better in my opinion because it had the emotional connection and feels BMO lacked. It feels so great checking up in old characters and seing how they are now and how they evolved, it feels like meeting an old friend after long time, I felt great seing Finn, Simon and even Choose goose again because I got to know them over the years. It's also great to see how Marcy and PB developed their relationship, just seing them as an actual couple, seing how they broke up, finding out the origin of the shirt, all those things that I felt were kinda lacking in the original series (Censorship sucks) those are stuff that I appreciate and that truly made their relationship fuller and richer than It already was, it feels like the episode truly added something y'know?. it's just... Thank you for making me laugh the pain away for a few minutes.
“See you all in the next one” “WHENEVER THAT IS AM I RIGHT?” - Steven Na but thanks for the reaction vid. I loved the episode and couldn’t wait for your thoughts on it.
Jake being alive or not, is kind of a weird thing lmao. The only possible contradiction to this assumption I can think of, is in Come Along With Me with the new intro of Shermy and Beth (the pup princess), when the camera pans over to the pup kingdom, if you look at the wall you can see an opening that is blocked by something yellow, and as the camera pans up to the main door, you can see someone's eye look directly at us. Which hints to me that Jake (or maybe another pup, etc) is stretched along the inner part of the wall as like a form of security. I know this is probably like, a WAY later period of time, when the candy kingdom is totally abandoned n such (you can see it in the background of the intro), and this doesn't really confirm anything besides the fact that this (probably) pup has the same coloration as Jake. But it's still something that's there, and is pretty interesting to think about. Like, perhaps after Finn/Jermaine possibly dying sometime in the future (slowing down the intro at the part where the camera pans past the crumbling statues of Finn and Jake/maybe Jermaine, with the fire guy shooting a cannon, you can see a piece of stone that has FIN and JER written on it with some of the letters obviously getting cut off), Jake could have sacrificed himself to act as the wall of his kingdom since he has so many descendants now, and is his way of taking up responsibility and protecting his loved ones. Maybe. I dunno. But ye, interesting stuff for an interesting show.
Bronwin should be really old considering she was a teen when we saw her, and she was born the same year as KKW, right? edit: thats assuming it is Bronwin and not her kid or something that Finn is training
Well shes kkw's child and through out the course of adventure time we see kkw be born, become a lawyer, and start a family. "Obsidian" could take place YEARS after the finale with most people suggesting around 10 to 15 years into the future meaning technically by this point kkw is most likely dead as he aged pretty rapidly so yeah she should be an adult and should of started a family by this point but instead shes a teen. Im presuming the most likely answer is that jakes alien genetics for aging had skipped a generation and kkw's daughter ages similarly to jake. Itd explain why shes a teen since most people presume this takes place around 10-15 years after the finale so she would be about the age of a teenager. Another thing to take note of is icekings age and finns age, since p.b. and marceline are practically imortal its hard to tell when this takes place based off of just them. But one thing id like to purpose is the fact that ice king is now simon because betty wanted the power to keep him safe no matter what which probably makes him no longer age. The only other evidence of when this episode takes place is by finns voice particually how it sounds much older as if he was a young adult/adult. Most people believe finn is around his mid 20's but if jake died i dont think finn would be so chill hanging out and going on adventures. So id say finn is in his late 20's which gives him time to grief. Lol one thing this does mean is that simon has been singing that song at open mics for literally almost a decade now.

I imagine this taking place anywhere from 5years to 20years after the finale.
I love your reactions lol , you always add the best parts in !
Pretty much unrelated to everything, but as someone who got into tf2 in 2020, I am absolutely loving all the small tf2 references, edits, and sound effects you put in these videos 👌

*-E p i c-*
Hah! Jokes on you! I live in Europe, so it's exactly 11:30 am here! Thank you for posting when I'm alive for once :')
Wow I haven't cry from adventure Time episode in such a long time
Holy shit I didn't even realize Simon looked exactly the same until you mentioned it. He may actually be immortal now. Good catch!
Finn was with Bronwyn in that scene at the end (Bronwyn is Jake`s granddaughter and Kim Kil Wan`s daughter. She was in the episode "Wheels").
Lmao
I would love to see a video compilation of every time Blue says *DEMON!* 😂
I can imagine the title: "Blue Order but it's only Blue saying DEMON for *inserts number* minutes" lol
I regret putting of watching this series for so long, this episode was brilliant, it did everything I wanted.
The melancholy is just through the roof.
@ 20:23 When those glass citizens broke he was SO ready for that to happen xD
Oh shit yes I knew staying up late was a good idea
The pup that came out of the van was Bronwyn. If I'm remembering correctly, she's Jake's granddaughter.
I really hope that Finn and Jake just have matching tattoos, but idk Jake might actually be dead. That would be really sad.
honestly this special was incredible the music. lore drops, and of course your reaction was something i was looking forwards to the minute i finished watching it haha
my gosh this episode is the greatest thing I've ever seen, I felt all emotions that passible to feel I love it
man, this episode was just ohawwow, i cant even believe this is true. the musics, the "future", the relationship between Marcy an PB, its just... perfect. thanks for the video man, I really was waiting to see your reaction over this. thanks everyone for keeping AT alive
thanks for the heart again
While I was expecting for Simon to make an appearance, that Finn cameo was a very pleasant suprise. Also that tattoo makes me sad.
your editing is.. *french kiss*
Lol I love your reactions to Simon just existing
Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyy glad to see consistent uploads again ❤️
5:29 oml that's why you were looking for that vid
Will there be any reactions from you soon?
@@Isabella-tu9fb I get you're excited but if you could not ask so frequently that would be appreciated, next owl house is almost done xd
@@MatthematicalReactions Sorry you're right. I won't ask so much
@@Isabella-tu9fb no worries of course
The editing is on point
From the way Blue Order reacts in this video, I bet that if you put him in the glass kingdom, he'd kill everyone.
My feelings throughout this is a mixed-mash for me because of how i ADORE this special SO SO MUCH!!!!
Just incase you haven't noticed by the end of the video, Marcy's mom had radiation sickness, likely from the fallout of the mushroom war.
I like how no one gives a shit that Finn flashed STP, Simon, Marcy, PB and his Niece lol.
You may never see this, but I will leave this here in case you do
I'm going through a very rare, serious, and very painful sickness that makes it so I can't do anything, I can't get up in the morning, I can't eat by myself, I can't play games with my family. all I have is me, my phone, my mother, and my doctor. But when you upload a new video, I laugh, and for a few minutes, the pain goes away, and I forget that theres a chance that I may die in a few days, so to that, I say thank you. Thank you for making me laugh the pain away for a few minutes.

Na but thanks for the reaction vid.
Steve Wolfhard confirmed this was not the intention, Steve wrote a scenario where Jake instead fills the crater, which imo is far more beautiful
@@tipsy634 lmao that is actually really cool, thanks man
The Taco Bell sound effect fucking killed me.
I can't watch your vid because I still need a way to watch adventure time and I don't want to be spoiled but I bet it's a great vid :D
8:57 hOLY SHIT *that's a real Garfield clip?!*
LMAO YES
10:52 don't think us degenerates would over look such a "Machine"
the dreaded machine
