Having now played with every Rubicon Liberation Front (RLF) AC preset, I feel I can now rank them best to worst: 1. SHINOBI (Played on Patch 1.01) 2. CANDLE RING (1.04) 3. TSUBASA (1.03) 4. ASTGHIK (1.04) 5. STEEL HAZE ORTUS (1.04) 6. BURN PICKAXE (1.01) 7. YUE YU (1.03) Even after the different patches, I don't think I would change this list. And while the top five are "playable", I only recommend the top three for general PvE usage.
Me personally, I felt something isn't right with this mech the moment I loaded him. So I changed the FCS to Talbot, Terminal armour for Assault, and the PO2 booster to Alula (why the hell did they put on that slower booster?). Another solid choice btw is grid walker cause of its aerial mobility.
Rusty really should've just swallowed some of that (rusted) pride and kept the Alulas. Or had the decency to use that one Furlong booster for ~390 boost speed.
The alulas have terrible vertical thrust, and that other furlong booster has both terrible QB and vertical thrust Steel Haze Ortus is meant to be fast in both the air and the ground, so the boosters he did choose were the best option for it
Personally, I play this mech with the original STEEL HAZE loadout: rifle, pistol, plasma missiles, laser slicer and assault armour along with the boosters and fcs. It makes a massive difference in PVE and can tear through bosses and ACs and it is also works for SOME of the longer missions, not all though. I admit to struggling with the C-Spider and the drive blocks mission, mainly because of the new BALTEUS energy weapons wrecked me and the Spider's health and defences are just obscene. I enjoy this mech myself, love how it looks, but this load out is all wrong for it. As you say, only Rusty can really make it work.
Dunno! The honeymoon period for ACVI is over for me (although I count it among my favourite games of all time), and my original goal of doing a video on every preset has been accomplished + extra. Plus, other games are simply consuming my time (and Shadow of the Erdtree is consuming my mind...). If I find the passion to start up ACVI videos again, I'll probably redo some of the older presets first (as some of them have changed considerably since 1.01/02) or perhaps the alternate sets for Snail and Iguazu. Never say never, but for now I'm keeping ACVI on the backburner.

Interesting how Walter was more of a challenge to Ortus Haze than to Nachtreiher Haze (in your videos that is)
It's most likely because the original STEEL HAZE is way, WAY stronger than STEEL HAZE ORTUS, for the reasons I list in the description.
I dont know, ortus feels pretty strong.
WALTER: RUSTY?! WHY ARE YOU ALIVE? I HAVE BEEN KILL YOU ALREADY!
Dude, when are you gonna make video again??

@@glip715 well, why don't you make an AC cosplay videos. Cosplaying as ace from AC FOR ANSWER OR ANOTHER GREAT AC FROM OLDER GEN
I must suck cus all I got with this AC was my ass kicked.
12:57 did you kick that one mt into the other one?
I think the second one was just in range of the kick's hitbox, I'm not sure it's possible to punt an enemy into another.
@@glip715 it looked sick tho
