@@BoatsandEngines mucking about building nitro/petrol powered RC racing boats (only single cylinder engines). I make the glassfibre plugs/moulds so am always interested to see your much bigger boat projects (and the cars too)...
Yes the fuel pump is bad I have seen them go bad and dump fuel into the block also. You can bypass it and run a electrical pump with a pressure regulator and a return line to the tank. I did this on a 350 engine that had a carburetor and you could balance a nickel on it, it ran so smoothly
