@Troll_Hater_MoodKiller no it wasn’t. The second tier of that era was better than any era. It may be top heavy relatively just cuz they’re all elite, but there was great depth at the position. The centers of today are even better. These guys handle the ball and shoot threes, things those centers didn’t do. But the center isn’t a position that every team has today. The ones we do have are amazing and in two years will be even better. Sengun, Wemby, Holmgren will join Jokic, Embid, Adabyo, Davis,

@Blahblahblehblhah You picked one year (1989) of center stats and thought that was smart to make your point? The dude said centers from the 80s AND 90s were unreal. And they were, when you look at 1980s AND 90s and not foolishly cherry pick .

@Troll_Hater_MoodKiller that’s (no offense) a lazy analysis pushed by media. He doesn’t pass/distribute anywhere near as well as magic in half court and on the break. And he doesn’t score anything like MJ. Lebron has never had a mid range or back to the basket game like MJ. Durants offensive ability resembles MJ more.
Lebron is really his own thing. Little pieces from different players but not simply a cross between magic and MJ.

Nobody's talking about Magic. With a 2 meters height he consistently made 19 points and 12 assists per game on average. An assist is as important statistic as making points. Because assist means a point is made after a shot. And this assisted shot can be a 3 pointer. So, this is equal to 44 points per game (more if we count 3 s) if we compare with Jordans 37 points (47 if assists converted to points) year (which is a record) , Magic was breaking this record nearly every year he played in the NBA. Maybe people will understand the value of assist some day.
