Just remember guys regardless of where you choose to buy. You can have your local ad do a pressure test anytime you will be taking your watch to water on a vacation. I do this with every watch get, even if it was just serviced a few years ago. Furthermore, if you develop a relationship with the jeweler they usually don’t even charge to check it.
One of my biggest pet peeves is taking my watch to be serviced and seeing a little spec of dust inside the face. Drives me mad.

Don't show customers all your incompetence. You don't touch a movement with your bare hands. And you don't smear 3 kilos of silicone grease on the caseback gasket. There are special silicone grease boxes for that. The stuff presses nicely into the movement when you close it.

Several years ago I put an expensive watch to get a new battery, after two years I took the watch to an old German friend watch maker when he opend the watch to put in another battery the iner workings had been replaced by a cheap crap, you do a great job and look after the people that come to see you so thank you for looking after your customers.

I know repair watches on the side ( short of some equipment) but we manage to do what's needed

Hey I just recently acquired my first Rolex! It’s a submariner from 2011 but hasn’t had any maintenance since the first owner bought it. I’d love to have it polished and tuned up. Rolex was telling me it would be about 1-2 months before I receive it back if I send it to them I was wondering if you guys could accept a mail in and get it done a little faster
I would REALLY, REALLY appreciate a reply! My husband had his Rolex stolen recently and 3 weeks later, the EXACT same year and make was on Facebook Marketplace. The watch was stolen on August 6th and the date on the picture was the 8th (2 days is when the wind up runs out). We were SO certain it was his watch but the serial numbers were not a match to our certificate. Is it easy to swap the interior bezel like that?

Vintage Rolex owner here. They might pass the test but watches over 20 years old can get micro pitting between the case and the backing etc. not a good idea even with a newly serviced watch to go diving, swimming etc. rain and washing your hands are prob cool tho.
