@@FirstIdrinkCoffee Quite elegant dude! You’ve got to be making thousands of dollars to afford such a watch. Hope you don’t mind, what do you do for work?
I’m a pastry chef however, I recently just got into the financial markets and who would have thought it would be a game changer for me! With 30k invested into Stocks and the Non Farm Payroll I’ve earned about $270k profit in barely four months.
This is the content I like watching. Trax doing all that cursing, fake drama, your stupid, hating on other jewelers, is corny. This dude should do more videos. Informative and he carried himself well through the video.
Gotcha best advice I’ve herd, buy an entry level wear it a year or 2 bring it back with money on top & keep upgrading, I know I will till I get my presidential
got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on amzwatch 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.
New age self proclaimed watch experts just started calling the 2 tone that, I have had my 18k two tone datejust since about 1993 that I bought for $2500 second hand thats consider vintage now. Datejust where so popular back then and where considered the banker/ Dress watch for business professionals. Recent independent appraisal for insurance says its $6890 replacement cost now .
I don’t quite understand why you say a polished band (@3:30) sags more than an unpolished band. I think you meant to say that a sagging band is an indicator of a band with a lot of use, where the link’s holes have been worn out by the rubbing of the pins.
I just bought a 1991 Rolex datejust 36mm two tone yellow gold with diamond dial and bezel the dial is aftermarket aswell as the crystal face, I purchased it from Jared pre-owned for 12,500 it had a third party authenticity card no rolex certification but i took it to a former rolex dealer to get a second opinion and he knew immediately that it was real with two aftermarket parts
On a side note I'm amazed at how this brand has captured the imagination of the general public for decades. I even heard that Rolex won't legally go after the factories that make counterfeit versions because they think it's good publicity promoting their watches even if they're fake because it keeps the name of Rolex in the public square.
Aren't the box and papers only valuable with the corresponding watch to have a more authentic one? What do you do with the papers if the customer doesn't purchase it with the watch?
Thanks guys this was super informative and the other video was about the watches. You really make someone confident and spending money this level, especially at the entry level. It’s funny everybody looks a little rough in the shop, but the more trustworthy and a guy in a suit.
It's not the measure of the face of the watch. It's the measurement from one side of the case to other, usually from the 2 o'clock to the 8 o'clock position.
This is the content I like watching. Trax doing all that cursing, fake drama, your stupid, hating on other jewelers, is corny. This dude should do more videos. Informative and he carried himself well ...
Slight error in your information concerning bracelet stretch. Polishing has virtually no effect on bracelet stretch, what’s more important is how the watch had been worn, if Worn loose, the head moves more and as a result puts more stress on the pins in the bracelet which then causes stretch.
Hey appreciate the comment man and support these factors you mention are 💯 true , I mainly use the factor of polishing because many of these watches tend to be over polished. They’re passed through so many hands that the amount of times the watch is polished can reach up to 7-8x. Polishing a watch once will have a slight affect with the combination of factors you listed. Polishing a watch 7-8x (which many watch dealers tend to do) will have a major factor in terms of the stretch of the bracelet. Metal between the links gets shaven down which means a bigger gap between the links. This comes from the years of experience of selling and polishing watches at Trax ourselves and handling hundreds of thousands of watches over the years from different dealers as well.
TBH Thank You for making a video like this! Gave me some information, that I didn't even know! Thank you again! Please make more videos like these! Don't get me wrong, love watching Nico, but, his caffeine driven antics literally just shift from the og subject at hand! He's more like a TH-camr nowadays. Somebody calm is always welcome.
If everything goes to plan this December, I will be driving in from New Jersey to your store to buy the datejust 36mm two tone champagne dial no holes sapphire crystal on a jubilee hopefully for 6k-6500$. I’ve been in love with this watch as far back as I could remember Thank you so much for this video. It was exactly what I was looking for and incredibly helpful. I really hope to do business with you guys this December.
Thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge......definitely makes a person comfortable with spending money......I like the fact he has something for everyone no matter your budget and he takes the time to explain things and price points and the little differences
I would love to jump on my first Rolex. I have an omega seamaster 300 professional chronometer which I love but I always wanted a submariner black with date. Got some saving to do.
Great presentation! I've thought about buying a Rolex many times in my life. And, I'm 61 years old at the moment. I have a lot of watches and I like them. But, I can't justify spending so much money for a watch when all it does is tell the time! 😊
Hey man appreciate the support and your comment ! I was more so separating the different values that individual items such as the original box and papers add on to the watch but won’t affect the liquidity of the watch itself for someone who has a Rolex that’s trying to sell or trade them in.
Very nice job of explaining the proper size and the cost of wat he's especially first time purchase ! Great job will be looking forward to your next video !

2-Tone. Datejust. Fluted. Jubilee. 100% classic. Will look great seventy years from now. Wouldn’t buy a used one for $100. Too many fakes. Also I think I’m the only person that likes the black dial or even the silver over the champagne/gold dials.
why do people think a 36mm is only for women and kids ( comment in this section ) it is only in the last 15 years that the "normal" watch size is is up 39-43mm for some men, I just don't get this there is not a huge difference between a 40mm and a 36mm, I think women watches are 32mm and down, anything 33mm-39mm is/can be a unisex and 40mm-45mm are men's IMHO.
These two tones are old junk that are about to need servicing etc ,crystal will scratch as well ,save up and buy aomething decent ,trax buys these for £2000 and sells for 5
