I ran a small business for 10 years and it sure was worth it, you learn a lot about people. Most people are great but be aware there are bad ones around. Always be honest and you will get true respect.
I admit I usually find Martin Lewis too irritating to watch. But credit where credit is due, this is an enjoyable and inspirational lecture. Great words.
This was really worth the watch. I graduated from uni last year and have got the job I'm happy with for now, but it's really helpful to see videos like this about what the future could bring and what to do next. Thanks Martin.
I'm glad he was honest about luck. I've never heard anyone say that to young people's faces - Not that I'm saying Martin would lie, BUT, neither school, college, nor university told me that my qualifications might NOT land me in the job I hoped for.
I'm 21, I'm unemployed, I'm creating a website by Wix to help give others in return for signing up and for your advice, no matter what you have said, it will always lift me up and give me the possibility to do something new.
Great to hear some kind of message of responsibility. It's so rare to hear that. I don't begrudge anyone being successful, but I don't understand the extent of the miserly and mean-spirited amongst us. The broadly popular "hands off my taxes and get off my land" utterance you hear so often these days makes me feel very sad. ...The system gave us healthcare, education, transport, trade, opportunity and security.. We need to support it. Because individuality can only get us so far. Broad co-operation is much more powerful when trying to achieve meaningful and positive change. Some of the most inspiring people I find are millionaires (- Mr. Lewis / Dale Vince) ...But some are also just plain vile.
Please don't believe all ther is to life is money my mother constantly cept telling me to by bricks and mortar and I left school at 8 yes 8 and went making money and even got to owning 24 properties and I'm naw 60 years old living in a tent life isent about money it's just paper with ink your wealth is your health not money in the bank live your life be healthy happy and lucky
I can knock a glass out of the cupboard and catch it before it hits the worktop. It's apparently amazing to watch. How can i use that talent in life????
Yes sorry about that. It wasn't something we'd envisaged so many would watch. We'll try and at least get a transcript on the blog page in the next few days... blog.moneysavingexpert.com/2017/08/08/martin-lewis-four-things-need-successful/?_ga=2.177040805.1428334304.1501569716-2086549783.1469836117
Skeletons at the closet ? What about the accusations of the unauthorised business promotion of his company while working at other company i thing of.com was the name. You are all kissing his arse because you are Brits. He is as well.
All your lessons are all over the place...make your mind up! What's lesson 3 again? There's nothing more cringe than a middle aged man trying to be down with the kids
Why do ppl listen to this self proclaimed expert lol. His latest tips on saving energy are absolutely laughable. Is he a fully qualified gas safe heating engineer? Has he any qualifications in energy efficiency no! So how can he have an opinion of merit? Well I am a fully qualified heating engineer and I do have qualifications in energy efficiency and u can tell you right now every home is different because every heating system is in a different state if health. Not to mention the fact that there are multiple brands of water heaters all with different specifications! Only a fully qualified heating engineer that has visited your home could possibly have any idea on how you can heat your home as efficiently as possible!!
This man is just full of sense, wisdom and honesty. I have shown this lecture toboth of my teenage children.
Did your children take the information in? Or roll their eyes?
Rolling of the eyes I'm betting

Insightful, honest, humble, literally beautiful!
"Don't be afraid to change paths." *walks off the screen*
Pity our politicians are not as transparent, should give him a people’s knighthood not a royal one. Very honest and clever man

Chris B: No the system didn't give us all that. We're charged taxes, taxes upon taxes if you work it out, so nothing is free in UK, face the reality!
Why has this only had 368 likes (as of 27/1/18)!? Inspirational and I'm going to make my kids watch it when they're old enough.
Martin is a "Legend" ❤
Excellent insight. Nothing I would disagree with.
What a fantastic talk.
Excellent Martin, forwarded to my son that just started Uni.
I can see this blowing up over the next few days

If I didn't have bad luck I would not have any luck at all.
He has a point.
Not a lot of people out there with talent.... EVERYONE has a talent of some sort.
I can knock a glass out of the cupboard and catch it before it hits the worktop. It's apparently amazing to watch.
How can i use that talent in life????
YOu are doing!!

I agree with all, except I believe we can create our luck,.
Sure.. but not all of it. Some things will still be courtesy of the unknown.
Maybe can’t create luck but you can certainly work on it so will help if only to think in a positive manner
Such a shame there are subtitles.
Basically everything that Jordan Peterson has been saying as Well
Try to get a passive income so you can just collect the money without the stress of working.
Is David Brent up next
💯 🎯
Of course, it should have read, "Such a shame there are no subtitles."

Very good well rounded advice. Straight to the point.
