Have you tried Black letters and numbers on white background for the fenix? So inverting the display to a brighter one? I have the instinct 2x but saving for the 47mm mid sized Fenix 7 pro, the instinct is good but the size bothers me a bit such a big case the have ether make the screen even bigger or the outer diameter of the case smaller. I like the modern casual look of the fenix fits in every life situation, the instinct looks either bit childish or too military outdoor if you wearing it every day also to office in a city etc
Yes I tried inverting display, I thought at first it was better but felt same. I agree Instint is a bit military esq. I actually also wish that made instinct in the fenix chasis. Or I guess make a fenix with instinct internals.
They went with a green LED on the tactical version instead of red because it's aimed at military and tactical law enforcement. They need a green light as it works with their night vision googles (which red doesn't do)
Thank you for the review. I currently own the instinct 2x tactical. Amazing solar charging and ease of use, however I am considering the Enduro 2, mostly for the metal case back and battery. Do you find that the instinct plastic case back causes any irritation? Otherwise I do like the instinct over the G Shocks.
Thanks for your helpful videos. I have the Instinct 2 and I like it a lot, but not impressed with its backlight and gray finish. The Instinct 2x Tactical appears to solve both issues. Comes in black (to hide plastic cheapness) and has a much better backlight. So I might end up picking one up! I also have Fenix 7 Pro arriving soon. I do have the weight concern as well, but am not totally sold on the fabric straps yet as they look a bit too casual to me. If I find a nicer looking one I’ll try it but definitely not the $299 ones that Garmin sells!
Instinct 2x is way better has way better benefits its designed to be a military watch so you're missing the point on what the Instinct is for. Still great review my opinion Instinct is way better looking and definitely prefer that military type watch.
I've never owned one beyond 2yrs but there are plenty of folks in forums using Fenix 3 still. Battery can last well over 5yrs but life will degrade. I have replaced fenix5 battery but it requires some soldering.
@@lefterismic3978 I used to have a Fenix 3 (second hand bought and already two year old) for maybe 1,5 more years, then I had an Instinct solar for like 4 years and had no issues with the battery. Now I have several Garmin watches, one of them is a Tactix Delta, which is 3 years old and also in a perfect battery form. What I am saying - don't worry, about the battery. Maybe it won't last as long, as a G-Shock Solar, but it will still last long enough and I assume at least 10 years (my brother ist still using his Fenix 3 HR with minor battery issues). It isn't impossible to change the li-ion, but the water resistance is gone after that and you could damage the whole unit. It's like a smartphone - it's possible, but mostly not recommended.
The instinct has a green because it’s the Tactical Version. All other 2X models has a red led.

Yea that makes sense. I guess going to bathroom at night isn't tactical enough for garmin.

I"ve never encountered any irritation issues from the garmin watches. I have gotten some irritation from the sensor if wearing to tight.

You could put a strap on the 2X as well. That’s what I did.
How many years Garmin’s battery can last and change of battery is it possible?

@@RandoRaf Thanks for the insights!

What is your wrist size?
Just wondering where you got the strap on your Fenix?
