@@ettorebugatti9354well, he is like a Yoel Romero (as seen in his fight against Yoel). He is an absolute monster, but lacks that little something to become champion. If he didnt get a point taken away in that fight against Vettori for example, he would have won that fight with a torn biceps. Took 1 year off of Vettori's life 😂 he is a good replacement for Yoel Romero, although Romero is a different beast with his 45 years of age

Every time Paulo Costa loses, his stock rises significantly, yet it never once rose from a win. Crazy stuff with this guy.

Man it's really such a shame that Paulo hasn't fought more. It's a young man's sport and he's fought 1 time per year the past 5 years. He's in his prime at 32 and all of the downtime is something you can't get back. Just a few more years and he's on his way out of his prime and in territory that we rarely see guys compete at the top of the sport. I feel like it's important to stay active and do as much as you can, while you can.

I'm writing a script for a movie right now just for fun and Paulo is one of the characters in it. It also stars Jackie Chan and Dave Baustista. Paulo I wish I could send you the script when I am complete so you can just read it for fun one day. It is an action/drama movie about an ancient Ninjutsu clan.
Paulo has grown on me man. I used to hate listening to this dude and genuinely didnt like him leading up to the izzy fight and then all the weight miss stuff with marvin but since then he has turned into one of my favorite fighters to watch, listen to and follow on social media. He does much better as the funny, trolly meme guy rather then the tough douchebag sunglass wearing hardass. Him learning english has done him well.

I say let Paulo fight in the summer. Maybe against Jared if Jared beats Marvin. If UFC is insistent on saving Khamzat for October, then they can still make that fight with Costa. Khamzat still gets a fight against a true middleweight. But keeping Khamzat on the sidelines for a whole year is crazy!
