The difference between Schmo and Ariel. Ariel would get butthurt and cry and get all pissed if Dana went in on him like Dana did Schmo. Schmo just takes it, turns it into an interview and jokes about it.
The stuff Dana says about Ariel is wild and it's cause he never soft balled him any questions. The Schmo needs to jump at an interview like this and to tow the line to keep Dana onside. You're trying to dumb a real complex situation down to Ariel being soft, but in actual fact Dana is a truly horrendous and horrible person if you don't do what he wants. Think of every single person that doesn't agree with Dana, they get thrown under the bus. Dana told the schmo he had a "stupid question", but he told Ariel that his kids will have to watch him cry, called him a piece of shit, called him a slimebag, made his life so difficult at UFC events when he worked for ESPN, stripped his media credentials, literally tried to get him fired from ESPN, Got him off the Mayweather Mcgregor tour on Showtime, drags him through the mud at every opportunity and makes it incredibly personal

I think Dana actually showed great humility(for his standards) by doin a sitdown wit him, you can tell he doesn’t get/like his style yet still respects him enough to answer the questions
Really the Schmo was very respectful here, and I think it was a professional interview. This is how you conduct an interview, and knowing when to stop asking questions and move to the next question, is an important art. Trying to force the issue isn't a good move because then you don't get anymore interviews.
Dana likes the schmo, he wanted no Jorge / Colby unresolved felony drama. on that day. Dana made a deal with Colby concerning Masvidal.
I remember when at the beginning Dana was always like who is this guy at the press conferences and Shmo kept being himself and Dana slowly started liking him. Thanks Shmo for being you bro! And bringing the guard down from the fighters.

Never really seen much of the Schmo but I have to admit one thing: you gotta respect the commitment to the bit. I embarrass myself every day acting like a clown, have a pretty high shame threshold when it comes to being an absolute muppet in public. But I do that for kindergarteners and their parents (teacher here). Doing it to billionaires and jacked up fighters who could knock your head off? Takes balls man. Respect.
