I think blue is intermediate because they've played a lot of matched where other people tilt out and give him the win. Self destructing like that for that long is insane
Could also be that he is a good player, but gets mad easily and holds grudges, caring more about their own personal victory than the actual in game victory. After all, he effectively single handedly screwed the win away from CG Plays. Sure, he lost to 3rd, but to a Vengeful player, that's worth it, if it screws the person who screwed him out of a win. If blue didn't do that, Red 100% would have won eventually. Blue decided "If your screwing me, I'm going to make sure you get screwed too"
Yeah you can definitely be vengeful and self destruct to scew some elses win, but it depends when and how you do it because you might just sacrifice the win
Why is the bonus of the business corner so small? It's a 13 region bonus with a 5 point hold for only 8 troops while food court is 2 regions small and has 1 point less to hold yet still gives 1 troop more it's even more significant with the bridge which only has a 3 point hold for 10 troops
Because you can make business center a 3 point hold while holding the bridge. That’s 18+ with a 3 point hold. In late game you can manage to hold clothing center, business corner, Grocers and the bridge with a 3 point hold. That’s a +29 with 3 point hold. All the while being able to break hold music area, Entrance and food court with 3 point hold. Basically you control every bonus other then furniture zone with a 3 point hold. If you manage to pull of that 3 point hold mid game you have a 3 point hold until the end of the game. Food court is just as op… but the bridge has +10. It’s lot easier to get the bridge and business center then the food court, Grocers and music area which would be a +19 with 3 point hold.
The fridge logic of some of these maps is actually pretty amusing. You’re fighting over a mega mall, it looks like, and there are apparently horrible weather conditions localized entirely within particular rooms. It’s like a Steamed Hams meme, but a horrible blizzard instead of Aurora Borealis. And it’s real, rather than a lie Principal Skinner came up with on the spot to cover up a fire.
maybe its just my own personal preference, but you should add the twitch chatters as an overlay to the bottom left corner of your screen or something. I always find it enjoyable to see how chat reacts to certain things happening
Its not on the leader to advance the game, they win in time. Its the responsibility of the weaker players to advance the game, they have to try to force a mistake from the winning player
1:14:00 Would it be possible to abandon top left at some point and regroup in the bottom right? Or is this a losing play? I don't imagine orange would want to face off against 1500 troops with their 750 stack and give blue 1st place, so they might decide to retreat back to top right or leave the right side of the map?
And I shall say I am sorry About the Alliance thing I guess I'm loyal but that's only because the last game I played There is 1 person that literally sacrificing himself So I could win Cause he did not want to break the alliance
Best match i watched so far, sad that blue went tilt at the end. The way you and orange held hands and the moment blue got out of there and blocked you in.., realy nice. if orange did a move after that it would have been even more entertaining 😂
Orange recognised the 2 point hold on half of the board. 3 Capitals and 3 continents bonus, insane. Captain hindesight think you should have just sat back behind orange after you knew how strong blue was.
Good caps and blizzards ,that can keep a bonus pocket more easily are important in the early game. You didn't have those so your position was precarious and blue was able to break all your bonuses. However, later in the game once the trades are large enough bonuses are not significant compared to trades, so it's about card-blocking, sewersides and cap runs. Kills are also important, of course, but it wasn't possible for any of the last 3 players to kill anyone until blue took the terrible cap roll. Orange played the long game for kills and caps. That was a weird map with the blizzards having almost no effect, so orange was smart to make an ally and poach kills and caps. You were never in a great position to hold any good caps, the one you took from blue was in a bad position. Second was fine. This map is highly spawn dependent and orange had the best cap at the start.
1:00 That noob corner goes from a 1 point hold for 1 sector to a 3 point hold for 3 sectors to a 4 point hold for 4 sectors if you wrap around the right side... Edit: 3 point hold for the entire right side...
Could not yet catch a stream, but will try to in the future. I just yet realized I watched a one and a half hour long video and it was 👍 Keep up the amazing work you do😊
i love you cleared green because of their bonus then push out see green and go we don't need to clear green. XD i know it was 12 units and green could only make it a 14 stack. but still that would mean a 14 stack you need to clear later on. or if green has a card bonus he could break you and push you.
@@NoNameAtAll2 Not at all you don't need your capital to survive the way the game works is basically first one to grab every capital wins the game, the reason people prefer to stack troops on there caps opposed to convenient places is that caps have a much higher level of protection then any other spot on the map, so pretty much If you have no cap and a lot of troops winning the game is possible.
If there is a way to find out orange player in real life they should know that they are amazing and even if I haven't seen all the way through the video you deserve the win out of sheer respect
you easily could win, with ignoring orange stack near your second capital. the only capital with guard was the orange original capital and you could slam that stat and easily take the other 2 and win
What is the capital dice bonus? is it a third dice? is it a flat modifier? D8s for defense? I tried to look it up online but the results I'm getting are either unhelpful or contradictory.
Capitals let the defender use up to 3 dice. This means in large battles attacker expects to lose 1.7 troops per defensive troop, instead of the 0.85 in normal rolls, so on average attacking a large capital is twice as costly as if that stack weren’t on a cap.
You got pretty tilted yourself. Blue was tilted too, but I mean, they were probably also just bored of this never-ending match where everyone waits for an eternity to try to get a numbers advantage from card trading (that everyone is getting mostly equally) in a game that's gone on so long that the bonuses barely matter anymore. They had to go after either you or Orange. They chose you. That made you mad because they brought you down with them, which gave Orange the win. If I'm gonna be honest, I'm glad, because I was rooting for Orange from the mid-game on. In the early to mid game, your alliance with them was pretty one-sided. It was less like a mutual agreement, and more like a dog on a leash. They did a lot of the heavy lifting against green while you amassed your forces, and they never held much territory. While Blue sat on most of the bonuses and you sat on the rest, Orange really felt like the underdog, but with the card trades getting to be so big, Orange was catching up. Everybody likes an underdog. Orange played really well, and had the patience and game knowledge to know that if they fought you, they'd lose the game. They had no choice but to make peace with you, and bide for their time. That's why they _didn't_ take that cap near Blue's border. They made _you_ hold it against blue instead. You vs Blue was an inevitability, and it was almost inevitable that it would end in someone self destructing.
Very late comment and I’m not sure what will happen yet but looks like towards the end blue reinforced back where their other stack was and moved everyone forward
Nice vid, you just talk a bit too much about how other people are presumably on tilt. It doesnt really make sense in this game. Both orange and blue are playing for first place and not suiciding on you or anything. I dont want to be that guy but the way you just repeat that blue is on tilt, combined with the misplay and the muting of blue at the end makes me think youre more on tilt. Makes the end of the video less fun to watch for me.

Card blocking someone has a downside - as they can not use their fortify during card trading, they can only use it to mass up a doom stack.
Yeah sometimes Risk has really difficult aesthetics to get your big stack trapped. Really sucks losing that way
