Hi Charlie just wanted to say how much I appreciate your knowledge on brick laying and how much the pick and dip method has helped me with my home project, thanks so much Paul 👍👍👍
They are for structural support, you embed them in the brickwork and use them to join the inner and outer leaves of a cavity wall together so that both leaves unite like a single entity. Building regulations usually require them to be used every few bricks or so. They're very important.
WHAT!!! IN THE HELL!! waaaaay to early for Christmas shite!!!! LoL toss the tree up week before Christmas good to go just playing..lmao looks great though
Mate what id love to see is Charlie, Changy,Traditional Brickie and Tricky Bricky on the same plot for a special event hahahahaha Testosterone overload 😂
For those who is willing to learn bricklaying if you havent started it yet im telling you all run away from this job , its not only what you see in the videos 😂 Specially labouring for brickies is hard asf , Im a bricklayer and i hate it
Bricklaying has provided well for me and my family. It's a lot of hard work yea but a lot of fun also. Nothing like walking out of ur house at 5am and already 80 degrees.
Not a brickie or even remotely interested in bricklaying....yet here I am addicted to learning bricklaying from Mr collision 😂 even knowing when to put profiles up...Faaaackkkkkkin hell what's happening, best TH-cam channel out there, and the shit you give Amy is just funny as... relationship goals x
@@rickylafleur7378 ace innit...showed my missus tonight his head camera laying bricks, and all she could say is "you're f*ckin sad" ha... on one hand I have to agree but to be really really fair, he is a proper dude good at his job and you have to applaud that....and it's relaxing to watch as well😬
Another great video I'm considering a career change at this point as I'm getting addicted to watching you lay bricks and blocks. As for Amy 100% a keeper looks after you 👌👌
Even if you're kidding about the career change I'd stay put where you are. It's tight everywhere now where I live, sites shutting down as they're not selling houses
Don't bother pal. Whatever anyone else tells you it's not so "wonderful". To get to a high skill level takes many years of earning relatively nothing. You're looking at CC and thinking every bricklayer is as good....they're not. He's probably in the top maybe 2% of skilled men? As a retiring 1 of those top 2%, take some good advice, if you want to live meagrely for 6ish years, in harsh weather conditions, whilst learning, and not achieve that high skill level, then do. And even if you do, what's the extra bit of income gonna do for you? Newer car? 1 more holiday? Comes at a long term cost too. Repetitive strain injuries.....FACT! Whatever b#ll#x anyone else fills you're mind with. High volume bricklaying = RSI further down the line. Hope this helps you make you're mind up
Thats what these wind posts are for Charlie.😂 load of crap they are mate .Hard trying to work and stay positive at mo the weather does get to you especially here in Cardiff the wettest city in the uk trust me to live here .London for example gets half the rain to here so a bricklayer is not just governed by the weather but by geography aswell mate 👍
If i wasnt so fkn old id consider becoming a bricky lol. One thing...at 11.35,laying straight on top of membrane?!? How tf is that industry standard? Anyway, mainly wanted to say Thom your a fkn legend, keep at it & learning from one of the best,Tyler....keep trying mate, you'll get there lolz And Amy...you girl are the best.
Amy's definitely a keeper Charlie, she so good to come home to after a winter's day battling with the weather. 👍🏻👍🏻

Advice to prospective young bricklayers. DONT build "big corners" without lining them in to another plumb point, using a line.

Just a quick one..never layed a brick in my life..but cutting the brick in two with the trowel not damage it???
Good trowels are temper edged. Meaning they are hardened.
Poxy wall ties I would definitely cop an unfortunate one with them bad girls😳
Hey up Charlie, is that technique where you just twice prime the perp with the excess from the trowel still classed as pic n dip? Love the vids mate
No mate
I came here to troll, but fuck me this guy is a MASTER ❤
How come you never put a bed of mortar down on the DPC when you laid the red bricks
