There's more to this. One of the broadcasters laughing at Bucknor was Bob Brenly, who couldn't stand Bucknor when he managed due to his horrendous strike zone. Brenly was once tossed from a game while protecting Curt Schilling from getting ejected in the first inning after a Bucknor Special. After that fiery argument, Brenly threw a ball bucket on the field before heading to the clubhouse. Brenly has had to restrain himself on every broadcast involving Bucknor since.

The average fastball continues to increase while the overall batting average continue to decrease. Pitchers don’t need ANY extra help!

More pitchers and catchers should have a plan, when things start happening like this...ok...I'm going to throw some high heat, "a wild pitch" that you just happen "to not be able to catch" right at the ump. Give him a little message.

As an umpire, I dont like how emotionally invested these umps are getting with the ejections. You can read the guys lips, Youre gone! Get the fuck outta here. Thats very telling when an ump is cursing and arguing back. And when that happens, an ump should be taken out as well. His bias and incompetence is costing wins and losses. Ultimately, its unprofessional and a bad look for the league to continue to tolerate the bad calls and behavior of an ump, who is suppose to be the leader and example for the other refs.

I mean these guys are supposed to be refs, but once you call them umpires they get an ego and think they are as important as the players of the game.
