This was actually very delightful to watch, very informative. Got one of these for a single bill, I think it is well worth it. Solid subscription from me.
I own Jr2 and it's a blast. I adjusted the action a bit with an allan key and it's the best guitar ever for the get togethers and even personal playing, great sound and exact intonation
Man, between the Taylor GS Minis, the Martin 000jr, the baby Taylor, the PRS Parlor guitar, and now the Yamaha Jr., I'm drowning in all the options I have.
Taylor gs mini very the best, overthise for having had a baby with a pitch shorter than the GS, a horrible sound, I did not test the Yamaha but for the price to be preferred to the baby
@levequechristophe8464 totally agree - I have the fg junior for practicing and hiking, but it really feels like a toy... that gs mini sounds fantastic
@@kurty95 then a JR sized guitar would be perfect for you. Volume difference for sure, but its a great sized guitar and so much fun to play. I always gravitate towards it.
Good demonstration but someone buying a smaller guitar wants to hear how well it stays in tune on the higher frets. One of the major problems with smaller guitars is not going out of tune for bar chords.
Removed that person’s useless comment. Sorry about that, and sorry for not responding. We haven’t run into tuning issues before with the JR guitars. What gauge strings are you using?

This is the kind of person I want to be friends with. Funny, talented, and knows what he's saying. I enjoyed watching your review. Keep it up!
Thanks for watching! 🙏

Restring with Elixir strings and these guitars sound amazing! Kudos to Yamaha!
@@levequechristophe8464so the Taylor is better

This guitar is just so good for the price, I dont consider it a kids guitar lmao, I bought it who cares, IM AN ADULT
It comes with a case as well. I just bought it out of the blue playing one at the guitar center and I liked how it felt and I like how it sounded

Was gonna go for the Jim Dandy but these are more folky. I dig,
Ah yes, my conceal carry guitar
im an adult but prefer compact size acoustic guitars. do you think its ok for me to use junior sizes?
Absolutely! They’re great guitars for all players!
I've not long bought a JR1
Any recommendations on string upgrade to further upgrade the sound quality.
Thanks in advance.
What strings are you currently playing?
@@tarpley-music
The standard/stock strings that came on it.
THANK YOU
thx great info and demo
Its the best "sitting on the couch" guitar. I have nicer guitars, but I tend to grab this one first when just watching tv or hanging out.
Is there a big sound difference with regular sized guitars ? I’m thinking of buying junior sized, cause I find regular sized uncomfortable to hold

@@matthewradcliff5335 thank you :)
I may get the Number 5 pick the FA 15 or the Jr cause I have Yamahas and fender and squire
Not sure what YOU call standard but my parlour guitar has 25 1/2 inch from nut to bridge.
Are the necks on these the same width and length as standard
Is this a 440 standard tuning?
Yes

These are 3/4 size? I'd hate to see the 1/2 size in that case, they look tiny. I thought a 21-1/4 scale length was a 1/2 size.
These guitars are 3/4 size.
What are the bridge pins and nut made of
The pins, saddle, and nut are made of a resin (plastic) called, Urea.
My JR2 just won't stay in tune. Have you ever run into that with these? Thanks
@@rinzan28 happy to entertain you. Thanks.

@@tarpley-music thanks. D'Addario Phosphor Bronze 12s. That's just what I had at the house. They stay in tune great on my Wechter D-8118.
Supposed to be a demo comparison of JR1 & JR2 - think you forgot to play the JR2
They sound exactly the same.
Which one you recommend? Jr1 or axpt2?
Im a 5 ft adult. I think this is the one lol
