I let my Children's python female maternally incubate her eggs and 90% of the babies ate straight away, first meal, and the babies were stronger than the artificial incubated ones.
Its just a theory, but I think the babies will be stronger. Usually 60%+ of my Children's babies need to be force fed a couple times before eating by themselves.
I know it's not Chondros, but just some input.

I just hatched out my second clutch of Maternally Incubated Carpet Pythons. The first year I did it (2019) I was testing my hypothesis that the offspring would come out bigger, more robust, calmer, and eat faster. That first clutch proved to do exactly that. The babies all hatched out about 33% larger, 15/16 took frozen thawed food at first offering, and 100% of the offspring are calm and growing well. This second clutch only just hatched out, but the babies are again 33% larger in weight, and I won't be surprised if they follow suit in robustness and readiness to take food. I will try to do Maternal Incubation as much as possible every season if I can. I find the babies are much healthier overall.

Gary i think like you most of my room is Boaphile Plastics. what do you think about Boaphiles "END" radiant heat panel installation option? Is this just as good as overhead heat, maybe better? I found it a super convenient option when I bought some "arboreal townhomes" from Jeff. SUBSCRIBED!

Hey gary i have a somewhat unrelated question. What do you make of people breeding snake morphs and cutting the eggs open when one pips and putting your fingers in and pulling out the baby snake to see what morph it is before the snakes absorbed its yolk? I personally dont like it and dont agree with it but would love to hear your opinion on it. I dont mean cutting the eggs im talking about pulling the baby snakes out before the yolk has been absorbed?

Ball pythons are about as interesting as wood chips. The world needs less ball pythons. The funniest are all the ball python "morphs" that are nearly indistinguishable from common
BP's and they call them FIRST IN THE WORLD "Super Killer Clown Spinner Bee Forthright Undertow Reticulated Non Binary T positive Recessive Alloy Forest Tiger Slug Simp Master"

Honestly they are only boring if you keep them in a way that makes them boring. The current popularity and 'norms' around their keeping have not done these snakes any favors.
