For those who didn't catch it, if you look real closely at 50:06 the Book reads "For three hundred years I have been a priestess of Azura, the Daedric Princess of Moonshadow, Mother of the Rose, and Queen of the Night sky. Every Hogithum, which we celebrate on the 21st of First Seed, we summon her for guidance, as wall as to offer things of worth and beauty to her Majesty. She is a cruel but wise mistress. We do not invoke her on any Hogithum troubled by thunderstorms, for those nights belong to the Mad One, Sheogorath, even if they do coincide with the occasion. Azura at such times understand our caution." "Azura's invocation is a very personal one. I have been priestess to three other Daedric Princes, but Azura values the quality of her worshipers, and the truth behind our admiration of her. When I was a Dark Elven maid of sixteen, I joined my grandmother's coven, worshippers of Moleg Bal, the Schemer Princess. Blackmail, extortion and bribery are as much of the weapons of the Witches of Molag Bal as is dark magic. The Invocation of Molag Bal is held on the 20th of Evening Star, except during the stormy weather. this ceremony is seldom missed, but Molag Bal often appears to her cultists on other dates. When my grandmother died in attempt to poison the heir of Firewatch, I re-examined my faith in the cult." "My brother was a warlock of the cult of Boethiah-and from what he told me, the Dark Warrior was closer to my spirit than the treacherous Molag Bal. Boethiah is a Warrior Princess who acts more overtly than any other Daedroth. After years of skulking and scheming, it felt good to preform for a mistress which had direct, Immediate consequences. Besides I like it that Boethiah was a Daedra of the Dark Elves. Our cult would call her on the day we called the Gauntlet, the 2nd Sun's Dusk. Bloody competitions would be held in her honor, and the duels and battles would continue until nine cultists were killed by the hands of other cultists. Boethiah cared little for her cultists-she only cared for blood. I do think is saw her smile when I accidentally slew by brother in a sparring session. My honor, I think, greatly pleased her." "I left the cult soon after that. Boethiah was too impersonal for me, (oh Fuk there's more!) too cold. I wanted a mistress of greater depth. For the next eighteenth years pf my life, I worshipped no one. Instead I read and researched. It was in an old and profane tome that I came upon the name of Nocturnal-Nocturnal the night mistress, Nocturnal the Unfathomable. As the book prescribed I called to her on her holy day, the 3rd of Hearth Fire. At last I had found the personal mistress I had so long desired. I had strove to understand her labyrinth philosophy, the source of her mysterious pain. Everything about her was dark and shrouded, even the way she spoke and the acts she required of me. It took years for me to understand the symple act that I could never understand Nocturnal. Her mystery was as essential to her as savagery was to Boethiah or treachery was to Molag Bal. To understand Nocturnal is to negate her, to pull back the curtains cloaking her realm of darkness. As much as I loved her, I recognized the futility of unraveling her enigmas. I returned instead to her sister Azura." "Azura is the only Daedra Princess I have ever worshiped who seems to care about her followers. Molag Bal wanted my mind, Boethiah wanted my arms, and Nocturnal perhaps my curiosity. Azura wants all of that and our love above all. Not our object slavering, but our honest and genuine caring in all its forms. It is important to her that our emotions be engaged in her worship. And our love must also be directed inward. If we love her and hate ourselves, she feels our pain. I will, for all time, have no other mistress." This is a very clever and subtle reference to The Elderscrolls III Morrowind, which you can find in the game.
Wow.. This is really really interesting. Thank you for taking the time to write this all down for us. You definitely should be worshipped for your dedication to morrowind lore!
As long as your playing a baby character that has no object permanence this should work. I mean you may still die a lot, but that's probably just a glitch or something completely unrelated obviously.
There are lots of items in Morrowind that have conflicting enchantments, kind of as if they're cursed. Another well known example is the boots of blinding speed, which makes you travel at the speed of light with the downside of blacking up the screen so you can't see anything. I think it's just to add some variability/lore/interest. If everything just did what it was supposed to, it would be a bit boring.
if it's the one in bloodmoon, it's implied that it was put there as a dead drop presumably for somekind of assassination. I always assumed the idea was that if you killed someone with it, you'd have a few seconds to make some distance before anyone would be able to notice the body.

I believe the reason it doesnt teleport you sometimes is so you can complete the tutorial. Each time you respawn through a save it gives you a couple unrandomized door entries because it isn't programmed properly. Also the first place you went to was in the tribunal main quest, it was the clockwork city.

Fellow Michael, watching your editing and humour grow and become more varied with the growth of your channel has been like watching a child grow up. I love this channel
It would be cool if there was a story to this mod. Like the premise is that you've been cursed with doors being randomised. You need to explore to lift the curse. Maybe you need to find something specific, or you need to solve a puzzle and piece together a well-written story. It would be really cool and could add a "lore" to this happening in the game.
Sheogorath attempts to drive you insane with the randomizer and you have to find something Important for him to make it stop, or find him, something like that maybe. Books in game confirm Sheogorath messes with mortals like that just for fun.
I’m pretty sure that was a lesser bonewalker, or at least not one that permanently damages your strength. The greater bonewalkers look like brick shit houses. Also something I noticed is that quite a few places that have greater bonewalkers have the triangular shrines you can donate to to heal your stats. That may have just been luck on my end though
You're right. Most lesser bonewalkers are just "Bonewalker" in game. The only one that's actually named "Lesser Bonewalker" is one in a main quest tomb.
@@SirGarthurI keep a recall amulet marked in Caius’s house in my inventory at all times for this purpose. Will change as soon as I get my stronghold done though so this would be smart…
I think you should have accepted when the mod didn't teleport you somewhere else, I mean, it's still random, sometimes you go where you want and sometimes you don't. I belive it would have given a better pace to the video
My opinion on that would depend on if it's actually random as intended by the mod, or something not working properly. If there's just a decent weighted chance to pop out where the door goes, fair nuff. Probably be nice to lower the chance a tiny bit, but alright. Sounds good. Can make you strategize your doors more. Prioritize trying a shops door on the chance you might get in or some such.
Well see in the fallout NV door randomizer as soon as you went through the door and it spat you out wherever that door was forever set as that place. I assumed it would be like that with this one, but I guess not. I think its better that it’s permanently to that place as opposed to walking through the same door leads to different place every time.. yknow what I mean?
I think this would be really great if the doors maintained a two way connection (so if you go through a door, going back will send you to where you were before). This way you could slowly piece together a network of doors to get around.
@so there's a character limit now?that'sunfortunate I'm not sure what you mean since you could just go back out? Unless you're saying the door to go out could be locked, but that could happen with the mod as it is?
22:45 - To answer your question: No. There is no penalty to spellcasting based on armor. In fact, heavy armor on mages is _recommended_ because heavy armor tends to have the highest enchantabilty of all armor types. The only real issue comes from lugging around heavy armor with low Strength.

Dude that GixG17 reference was hilarious! And same, he was the first let’s player I ever watched too. I still watch his content from time to time. I didn’t think anyone else from the Morrowind community knew him.
I read the book. It's alright. It reads like a book from Daggerfall or something, just based off how it talks about the Daedric Princes. For instance, the author calls Molag Bal a she. Which, while daedra are genderless, I've never known Molag Bal to stray from male presenting. Just sounds like an early lore book. Other than that, it's just a priestess simping for Azura. And dunking on Molag Bal, Boethia, and Nocturnal.
Play Morrowind as Dr Strange! I love the idea of this mod. Almost like a survival game now! Also, your voice is just great for a cheeky Elderscrolls play! Thnakyou for making the journey.
as to your comment about playing a mage as your first Morrowind run, yes i definitely recommend it because thats exactly what i did 2 weeks ago. I made a high elf mage with spear as another form of offense and ive been having a great time. also, the bound spear spell is *very* easy to get early on and hits very hard so it was a godsend for my character.

Two things: door traps can absolutely decimate you at times. Little cheesy, but I believe (I could be misremembering) that a lot of the door trap spells are random and will change when you drop a save and reload outside the door, so you can try until you get past one by doing so. Second thing: the NPC you found who complains of being sick/diseased can be healed if you have a "cure blight disease on other" spell. I think. If not, a cure common disease will work, but it's one of those two! Raises your fame. Can't remember if you get items or such in return.
Although it is very funny that you immediately moved away from playing mage, it makes sense since the best way to get op in morrowind is through weapons and items. Mages need much more time to grind to get stronger with a much better payoff. Even then, being able to one shot enemies with a dai-katana is hard to beat 😂
@@MickyDyeah I’m shocked at how many people were picking at your for it. Recreate a character you've already played/explored most of the game with and pretend this is their PTSD nightmare
Dude that would be awesome!! I think it could really fit in the elder scrolls lore
Ive noticed shrines fairly often too, but DEFINITELY not always. Always carry a form of intervention 💀... Always.
Constantly using FIRE spells against dark elves.
Wondering why it's doing basically no damage.
Claims to have played Morrowind before.
I think you should have accepted when the mod didn't teleport you somewhere else, I mean, it's still random, sometimes you go where you want and sometimes you don't. I belive it would have given a better pace to the video
Agreed
I never knew you had so deep feelings for Fargoth
I think this would be really great if the doors maintained a two way connection (so if you go through a door, going back will send you to where you were before). This way you could slowly piece together a network of doors to get around.
@so there's a character limit now?that'sunfortunate I'm not sure what you mean since you could just go back out? Unless you're saying the door to go out could be locked, but that could happen with the mod as it is?
Oh my GOD that ratchet and clank music in the intro is old but gold. Take my sub man!
22:45 - To answer your question: No. There is no penalty to spellcasting based on armor. In fact, heavy armor on mages is _recommended_ because heavy armor tends to have the highest enchantabilty of all armor types. The only real issue comes from lugging around heavy armor with low Strength.
Morrowind is 20 years old and it gets over 100 thousands views. It's amazing, Micky's a brilliant youtuber and it's such a joy to see a new Morrowind video.
There I sat with my bowl of pasta
Looking for videos so time would go faster
I tried Prime, Netflix, Hulu and more
But up popped Micky,
Finally! Something that won't bore:D
thicc faccs
Modern media is boring as hell, but a modded 20 year old game? Perfect.
exactly.
What kind of pasta?
Please continue this, this is mad entertaining. Kind of turns Morrowind into a roguelike.
this makes me want to do a thing i did in OSRS but in Morrowind. Skint Broke Challenge. Drop all gold immediately after getting it
Oof, how long did you run that acc for? that seems like a propper chore!
It was enjoyable watching Micky D leap, hoping that each time, his next leap will be the leap home.
Ironically one of the leaps was exactly the one home(right at the very first door leading to character creation).
The invocation of Azura book at the very end was wonderful I recommend reading it
I love your videos! Please make this into a series where you try to beat the game this way or maybe a guild questline!
As soon as I heard you go "aaaahh" when you leveled up I thought of Gix ♥️ I remember playing Morrowind on the original Xbox when I was 10, with GixG17 videos playing on my laptop sitting next to me
Came to this channel for the shorts, stood for the morrowind, subbed for the James bond, and now I'm here for all the videos. Never change Micky, love the content
YOO RATCHET AND CLANK MUSIC, lmao I noticed it the first half second of the video, you getting a like just for that king!
Finally,
How long do you expect me to wait for all this free content.
Thanks MickyDeeeee
16:12 the theme of this video summed in neatly.
"I'm not supposed to be here!"
5:06 can confirm. My spells always fail IRL
I also want to say, that your Morrowind videos are my favourite, Micky. Out of all your uploads, I always get extra excited to watch your morrowind stuff. I am not bothered about watching other TH-camrs play this game, but you just keep it fresh and take me back to good days playing this.
do you KNOW how excited i just got seeing that you made a morrowind video that’s almost an hour long???!?!?!? hope you’re doing well dude!!!
26:27 babe are you alright, you haven't even touched your kwama eggs
Just want to say thanks , not feeling so great right now and your vid rlly helps me get over that mood
I loved how you walked out a door, and an ad popped up.
Clever bro……. Clever.
idc how the rest of the vid goes, u opening with ratchet and clank music gets u a like and sub. Keep up the entertainment ur one of my fav morrowind youtubers
Pretty much every video on this channel is great. Keep it up, good sir!
oh damn. I wanted to do this for a while but never got around to trying it, this is gonna be good lol
I like the Quartu soundtrack banging out at the start of the video lol
the amount of nostalgia the opening music has caused is unreal
I just tried this mod. It first sent me to a random commoner's hut, then to a location outside of a Telvanni egg mine, then straight down to Dagoth Ur. 10/10
Using the OG Ratchet&Clank soundtrack. I didn't think Micky D could get any more based, but I'm glad to be proven wrong.
Same. Now i'm listening to the whole OST
I finally get to comment on a new video. I just found your content a little bit ago, and it's been one of the few things that's kept me going. Keep up the amazing work!
Trying to kill dunmer with fire spells is a genius idea, Micky
He must've read 'Interrogating Dunmer' from Tamriel Rebuilt.
And where would he have gotten any new spells, genius? Please, enlighten with your wisdom.
@@robbiirvine1038 don't get butthurt
Hagrid is the name of a race where everybody is Hagrid. They are also all named Hagrid. Official Harry Potter lore.
I can't help but notice how immediately once you get your hands on a decent sword you ditch destruction magic completely.
Perhaps "Actually need to be a wizard" would be an interesting challenge eh? :p
The trick is to just use enchantment for attack magic. Just have a lightning ball gatling gun and you'll never come back to swords
Boo
"Everywhere I go, I see Caius Cosades' face."
- The Nerevarine
I find it very wholesome when Micky talks about his attraction to men
Hey I hear that Ratchet and Clank intro music. Classy my man.
I haven’t played any of them since their respective PS2 release year. Thought I recognized it!
Micky’s becoming too powerful, TH-cam had to intervene
It did work the first time. You just got super lucky that it was where it was supposed to lead😊
The Morrowind series by gixG17 is also a favorite of mine, really cool to hear you mention it. Very odd to hear it described as so old, but thinking back, I was watching it in 2009 or 2010... :-/
that bungalow comment was a personal attack lmao - when i was in primary school i was legitimately afraid of stairs because i didn't have them at home

"Welcome Nerevar."
Just wanna say love your challenge videos. Easily one of the best elder scrolls youtubers
So there's actually an item at the census office you most certainly don't want to skip called the 'Limeware Platter' which has a value of 400 coins, in order to steal it without getting caught you must lol i'm just kidding. your build sucks micky, never change dude
Had me in the first half 💀💀

@@DanceTranced then sell it to them.
Didn't like the comment to leave it at 69, but know I approve of this.
It's amazing how good this game still looks with just a few little tweaks.
"I kinda wanna do a Red Mountain at level 1 challenge"
After you finish the level 1 Bloodmoon series, right? ... Right?
Two things: door traps can absolutely decimate you at times. Little cheesy, but I believe (I could be misremembering) that a lot of the door trap spells are random and will change when you drop a save and reload outside the door, so you can try until you get past one by doing so.
Second thing: the NPC you found who complains of being sick/diseased can be healed if you have a "cure blight disease on other" spell. I think. If not, a cure common disease will work, but it's one of those two! Raises your fame. Can't remember if you get items or such in return.
I literally just thought "let me see if Micky D has uploaded anything"
Damn the music in the beginning gave me those Lazy Town Sportacus vibes 💪🤣
Although it is very funny that you immediately moved away from playing mage, it makes sense since the best way to get op in morrowind is through weapons and items. Mages need much more time to grind to get stronger with a much better payoff. Even then, being able to one shot enemies with a dai-katana is hard to beat 😂
Matthew gets it
@@MickyDyeah I’m shocked at how many people were picking at your for it. Every time I’ve started skyrim in hopes of being a mage EVERY TIME I switch back to stealth archer just because of how painful that grind is to become a mage. So I can’t imagine how much more frustrating it would be in Morrowind!
@@PanicLediskoit's easy buddy, you're just used to the broken bs that is stealth archery. It's the games fault and your own, if you wanna run a mage stick to it, don't give up for the ridiculously easy option lmao

Darn, no Huey and this News. Thanks for making me laugh when I feel like shit and can’t sleep
Yeah, I had way less trouble with this mod with OpenMW. Also, honestly with the stuff they're doing with it now switching over isn't a bad idea for things that aren't Ashfall and whatnot, plus less npc derping.
But yeah I really like randomizers too, they're interesting to see how your normal game survival skills work in a situation where you're constantly on your toes.
Just got off work cant wait to enjoy this 🌾
Invocation of Azura is one of my favourite books
She's the best god and I will, for all time, have no other mistress.
That Ratchet And Clank Going Commando OST, you always surprise me Mickey
Unless i am just stupid and it was Crash.
This seems incredibly fun. Like if the randomizer remained static. It would be like having to solve a puzzle.
Very Willburger-esque editing in the beginning... I love it🤣
Micky going through more Morrowind craziness? How can I resist? 😂
18:40 had me rolling xd Good job Micky I enjoyed this :)
