Ex.1 Two masses m1 and m2 are of 8 kg and 16 kg respectively. They are placed at 1.5 m and 2.25 m from center, in a plane. The angle between them is 60°. Determine position of third mass 12 kg for static balance.
Ex. 2 Three forces m1, m2 and m3 are of 3 kg, 4 kg and 2 kg respectively. The corresponding radii of rotation are 30 mm, 20 mm and 25 mm respectively. The angles of forces with horizontal are 30°, 120° and 270° respectively. Determine the value and position of mass attached to a radius of 35 mm for static balance.
Ex. 3 Three masses 5 kg, 6 kg and 8 kg are rotating in a plane about an axis at radii of 0.12 m, 0.10 m and 0.15 m respectively. The angles between 5 kg and 6 kg is 60° and angle between 6 kg and 8 kg is 165°. Determine the value and position of balancing mass attached to a radius of 0.14 m for static balance.
Ex. 4 Four masses 200 kg, 300 kg, 240 kg and 260 kg are rotating in a plane about an axis at radii of 200 mm, 150 mm, 250 mm and 300 mm, respectively. The angle between each mass is 45°, 75° and 135°. Determine the value and position of balancing mass attached to a radius of 200 mm for static balance.
Ex. 5 Two masses m1 and m2 are of 8 kg and 16 kg respectively. They are placed at 1.5 m and 2.25 m from center, in a plane. The angle between them is 60°. Determine position of third mass 12 kg for static balance. Use Graphical method.
Ex. 6 Three masses 5 kg, 6 kg and 8 kg are rotating in a plane about an axis at radii of 0.12 m, 0.10 m and 0.15 m respectively. The angles between 5 kg and 6 kg is 60° and angle between 6 kg and 8 kg is 165°. Determine the value and position of balancing mass attached to a radius of 0.14 m for static balance by graph method.
